The bags filled with all sorts of items in Xu Ran's hands rubbed against one another as he walked, making soft rustling sounds.
Behind him, Starlight and Can Can also carried quite a few things on their backs. Only Purple Cloud looked particularly relaxed, lounging lazily on Can Can's scale shell and looking around curiously.
Before they knew it, Xu Ran and his three contract beasts had spent over half an hour in Demonwood Market. As a city unlike other second-tier strongholds, Demonwood City had plenty of unusual things Xu Ran had never seen before.
Faced with these interesting little items, Xu Ran generously waved his hand.

With Li Tutu, their local guide, leading the way, Xu Ran and his three beasts soon went on a shopping spree. By the time they came to their senses, they could barely carry all their bags.
"Let's call it a day." Looking back at Demonwood Market, Xu Ran still felt he hadn't had enough.
The many examples of supernatural creatures and humans living together harmoniously here had struck him as novel and left quite an impression on him.
The area they had seen during today's stroll didn't even account for a tenth of Demonwood Market. If he had time later, he would come back a few more times.
Before that, however, he needed to open his shop.
With a thought, Xu Ran brought up the shop renovation countdown.

Seeing that less than an hour remained, Xu Ran knew it was time to head back.
Once the new shop here opened, his primary task would be to raise Starfire Foster Shop's name recognition in Demonwood City to 50%.
At that thought, Xu Ran turned to Li Tutu beside him.
