• Jin Mingzhu examined the Linglong Dog’s fur and skin, recognized Xu Ran’s grooming and styling as superior, and introduced herself as the owner of the Pearl Boarding Shop.
• Jin Mingzhu told Xu Ran that Li Dajin had invited her and the owners of the Beast Broth and Emperor Boarding Shops to see the shop, while Xu Ran recalled having Li Dajin’s group thrown out for cutting in line.

Later, Xu Ran arrived at the Beast Taming Rankings to challenge the commander-level Contract Beast Team Battle Power Rankings, leaving the Three Little Ones to begin the fight on their own.

• Jin Mingzhu told her companions that the Starfire Foster Shop was far beyond their competition and advised them not to oppose it.
• Xu Ran closed the Starfire Foster Shop and set out with Starlight to challenge the final commander-level ranking he had not yet attempted.
• Onlookers gathered at the Beast Taming Rankings, where Purple Cloud and Can Can waited for Xu Ran to arrive.

Xu Ran agreed to groom Huī Hétian’s old friend’s ailing giant Spirit Cloud Beast at the Huíyún Boarding Shop, provided he could also groom Can Can there afterward. Huī Hétian left confident that his friend’s problem could be solved, while Huī Xīngwēi learned that her father expected Xu Ran’s shop to surpass the Beast Broth Boarding Shop.

• Huī Hétian introduced himself to Xu Ran and explained that his former Hunting Squad companion’s giant Spirit Cloud Beast had a severe condition imbalance that was harming its health.
• Huī Hétian offered the Huíyún Boarding Shop’s giant-sized Grooming Room so Xu Ran could groom the beast, promising him a favor in return.
• Xu Ran agreed to perform the grooming the next morning, on the condition that he could also groom Can Can in the same room.

• Xu Ran watched the Contract Beasts share the Huíyún Boarding Shop’s Boarding Area and learned from Huī Hétian that he had modeled it on peaceful coexistence among wild Supernatural Creatures.
• Xu Ran considered adapting his own Boarding Area so Contract Beasts could choose between solitude and group living, then prepared to groom the Giant Spirit Cloud Beast.

• Xu Ran’s grooming rapidly restored Zhou Han’s Giant Spirit Cloud Beast, and Zhou Han thanked him while Huī Hétian offered Xu Ran the Grooming Room for the rest of the day.
• Can Can revealed its enormous original size, and Xu Ran, Purple Cloud, and Starlight worked together to groom it.

Xu Ran learned that Fighting Hairball had displayed rare evolution signs, giving it a strong chance to evolve into an emperor species and qualifying it and its tamer for Beast Tamer Association support. Fang Yuling left her three contract beasts at the shop for ten days, and Xu Ran wondered whether his food had helped trigger Fighting Hairball’s evolution signs.

• Fang Yuling explained that evolution signs appear when a contract beast unknowingly fulfills an evolution shortcut, and that the Association helps such beasts complete their evolution.
• Xu Ran told Fang Yuling about Fighting Hairball’s past mistakes and its recent calmness, leading her to suspect that its evolution shortcut involved staying calm.
• Fang Yuling summoned Three-Headed Nightmare and Lamp-Lighting Spirit Envoy and boarded them with Battle Bee so they could eat at the Starfire Foster Shop.

After signing the agreement, Zhou Tianwu offered to pay half the compensation and ended his ties with the four men.

• Zhou Tianwu entered his home with Fighting Hairball and announced that he would withdraw from the Heavenly Dragon Hunting Squad, taking responsibility for Fighting Hairball’s mistakes.
• Liu He demanded Fighting Hairball’s life and compensation, while two other squad members also demanded payment for their lost Contract Beasts.
