Mu You joined the Administrators in their hidden cavern and learned that the Star Spirit World was a game world created by the God Race to spread faith. The Administrators explained that its four-thousand-year cycles of destruction and rebuilding were resets to prevent the world from collapsing, while the reason for the sky’s cracks and their encounters Above the High Heavens remained unanswered.
Mu You learned how the Star Spirit World, Earth, and the Land of Forgetting were connected, and the Administrators explained how the Great Calamity Era and the black holes might be stopped. The chapter ended with their proposal to raise eight Sky Cities to level six and send them to High Heaven in the Heaven-Mending Plan.
Mu You returned to the Pet Shop after the battle, admitted to Zhang Yang that he was the Ghost Ship Captain, and joined the loot distribution meeting. He explained the Heaven-Mending Plan and, after three days of negotiations, received 2,000 Divinity in addition to the Female Giant’s God's Bone.
After the spoils from the giant battle were divided, the United Nations and eleven City Lords announced that Dawn City would ascend to High Heaven in one month, followed by seven other cities. Mu You upgraded Dawn City and used his authority as a Proxy God Walker to unlock two Order divine arts and claim his daily divinity reward.
Mu You entered the Giant World, upgraded Order Guard, and used it to safely hunt weaker monsters while collecting divinity and useful materials. After surviving the tsunami by taking advantage of a Sliding-Shell Beetle’s shelter, he reached the shore from which the waves seemed to come and considered investigating the water.
Mu You explored the coast, learned that good deeds and evil deeds accumulated competing hidden values, and discovered a concealed chamber containing a warning about a horror beneath the water. He found a Fog-Breaking Mirror and began scanning the mist for the tsunami source, finally seeing something in the sector 50–60 degrees from due south.
Mu You discovered that a forgotten irrigation system caused the tsunamis, but an octopus-like creature guarding the water killed him before he could reach it. Back in Dawn City, he learned that the Fairy Clan could forge God Statues and accepted a quest to find their lost homeland, the Bitter Garden, a legendary Sky City.
Mu You learned from the administrators that the Bitter Garden, the original Sky City, had once hovered above the Lan’er Imperial Capital, and he suspected the Bitter Forest might be connected to it. He entered the forest with Fuya and found that its bitter pollen was linked by legend to the Fairy of Love, but Fuya said no one had ever seen a fairy there.
Mu You and Fuya found Geguwu, an ancient witch who had survived between eras and controlled the entrance to the Bitter Garden. Geguwu agreed to let them enter only if they passed her teacher’s test, which required brewing a Legendary Grade version of her teacher’s Sweet Potion.
Mu You and Vivian analyzed Geguwu’s Sweet Potion and discovered that its supposed True Love Blood could be replaced by a Fool’s blood. Mu You brewed a Rare Grade potion on his first attempt, and Vivian explained that his blood had made the process unusually easy.
Mu You and Fuya exchanged the Shapeshifter for access to the Bitter Garden, which Geguwu opened despite refusing to use the Synthesis Furnace to pass her teacher’s test. After Mu You arrived unconscious and learned the Shapeshifter could create loyal, growing clones, he considered using it to divide his good and evil traits among them.
Mu You used the Shapeshifter to split three skins into independent clones, giving them distinct personalities, resources, and pets before sending them into the game. His character awakened in the Bitter Garden’s Sky City, where it encountered Eerie Caterpillars and heard a warning not to harm them.
Mu You met a nameless fairy who used bitter pollen to disguise him from the aberrations and offered to guide him through Bitter Garden. After reaching her home and discovering her generous gifts, he remained suspicious of her motives and sent clones to explore and investigate her.
Mu You monitored his clones while Fuya escaped the Rose Queen’s pursuit and gathered information about the Bitter Garden’s three kingdoms. After learning that Sky City’s true ruler remained unknown, Mu You planned to investigate Radiant City with Fuya and send his clones to the other kingdoms.
Mu You dispatched his clones on separate missions and accepted the nameless fairy girl as his guide toward Radiant City. When he and Fuya reached the same meeting place but could not see each other, he deduced that he was in the Bitter Garden of the Previous Era, four thousand years before her.
Mu You suspected that the Lord of Calamity, the Radiant Saint, and the Rose Queen were his three clones, and asked Fuya to investigate them in the past. After Fuya was caught trying to enter Radiant City, she learned the Saint would give a sermon at sunrise and decided to target him directly.
Mu You and the Night Watchman visited Fallen Flower City's Oath Court to seek Lucky Dust, but Saintess Tina's pursuit and a citywide attack by Eerie Ones forced them to form Contracts with fairies. The Contracts stopped the Eerie Ones, while Tina demanded that they take her to a living Royal Fairy.
Fuya infiltrated Radiant City to capture its Saint, only to expose that he was an impostor and trigger the collapse of the city as fairies turned into Eerie Ones. As the Land of Calamity attacked under the pretext of eradicating them, Fuya escaped with the fake Saint and a possible clue to the real Saint’s disappearance: the Dark Grotto.
Mu You learned that the Dark Grotto existed beneath the Bitter Garden and that it corresponded to the Dungeon entrance in Dawn City, then had Tina and the Night Watchman abduct Olmedo to question her about the Fools. Olmedo revealed that the Bitter Mother Tree stopped producing fairies when the first Fool was born, and began withering when another Fool entered the Bitter Garden four hundred years later.
Mu You convinced Olmedo that he and the Night Watchman came from the future, and she agreed to help them investigate the Dark Grotto. He accepted a quest to find the missing Fairy King Orenz in exchange for the Bitter Garden’s Structural Model Blueprint, then met Olmedo’s student and guide, Glatterix Gesaberbeli, also known as Geguwu.
Mu You led Geguwu, the Night Watchman, and Linglong into the Dark Grotto after reuniting with the gluttonous Linglong and learning he could not contact the Herbalist in a mysterious dark area. As the fairy girl plunged into the sinkhole after them, the party discovered that the grotto suppressed all light—until the Night Watchman’s Pumpkin Lantern unexpectedly shone.
Mu You and his companions followed royal fairy pollen through the Dark Grotto, encountering strange plants and hostile creatures. After a slippery cliff nearly sent them into the Abyss, the Herbalist rescued Geguwu, and Mu You learned he had been exploring the grotto for two days.
Mu You analyzed a hidden Order Space made by the God of Order and discovered that it contained the Wind Qilin’s arm, a tool used by Boundary Guardians to reinforce a seal. After learning of the mysterious Spear of Sealing, he checked on the others and found them examining what might be a root of the Bitter Mother Tree—or a creature’s tail.
Mu You fused with the Wind Qilin Arm and learned that its scales could protect him from the Spear of Sealing, which was being used to suppress a dangerous creature beneath the Bitter Garden. Following a scent trail, he caught up with the others and found the Fairy King guarding the Ju Snake, whose awakening threatened the Star Spirit World.
The Lamp Genie explained that the Ju Snake was a sealed calamity beast whose awakening was tied to the Fools and the Fairy Clan’s decline. Mu You reached the Dark Grotto and found the Ju Snake’s enormous body and the Spear of Sealing wobbling loose, leaving the seal on the brink of failure.
