Sunreavers and Goblins

The messenger was a human. Alleria thought that if he had not been wearing the Argent Crusade's tabard, he would likely have been seized and interrogated long ago. Even so, humans were still unwelcome in Quel'Thalas.

"Regent Lord, Ranger-General, it is an honor to meet you both! I sincerely apologize for disturbing you like this, but this matter is simply too important."

"Welcome to Silvermoon City, friend of the Argent Crusade." Alleria's eyes shifted to the letter in the messenger's hand. "Could you tell me exactly what news you have brought?"

"I believe you know Stephen Maris."

The Regent Lord nodded. "The last time I met him, he was still a child." Alleria remembered Nathanos's younger brother, who had aspired to become a knight. It seemed he had fulfilled his dream, and she was happy for him.

"Good, then you remember." The messenger offered the letter with both hands, along with a long, narrow package. At first, Alleria had thought it was one of the messenger's personal belongings. "He said you would understand once you saw this."

"What else did he say?"

The messenger shook his head, indicating that all the answers were in the letter and the package.

"Liadrin." The Regent Lord summoned the Countess again. She was waiting outside the door.

"At your command, Regent Lord."

"Have someone escort the messenger out safely."

Only Alleria and Vareesa remained in the room again, though there were now two additional items.

Alleria glanced once more at the mysterious object covered by cloth. She grabbed a corner of the fabric and pulled it away. She had already guessed what was inside the moment she saw the package, but the Regent Lord was curious why Stephen had sent her an arrow.

"There are words on it, Sister." Vareesa pointed at the rust
