Chapters 826–850 Vol. 9 Read

Ch. 826Kallen's prey

Kallen agreed to let Hunger Addiction use his abilities in exchange for its power, then attacked the Moon Order God Church’s hotel in Vien District. As Hunger Addiction prepared to consume Sarayina, Princess Ankara appeared within her and addressed Kallen as her father.

  • Kallen encountered Rotini’s election motorcade, then stopped outside the Moon Order God Church’s hotel and negotiated a transaction with Hunger Addiction in his Soul Space.
  • Sarayina ordered her staff to investigate how the Order God Church would end the desert war, but Sains warned her that Kallen had returned and might offer a breakthrough.
  • Kallen breached the hotel’s Defensive Formation, killed the returning conference attendees and security personnel, and defeated Sains when he confronted him.
  • Kallen overwhelmed Sarayina’s mental attack and began preparing to consume her, but she called for help from the presence within her.
  • Princess Ankara awakened inside Sarayina, sealed off the hotel, and greeted Kallen as her father.

Ch. 827What to eat?

Ankara sacrificed herself to reveal how Kallen could resist the Hunger Addiction, leaving him locked in a struggle with it as he wandered the city. Kallen restored a dead girl’s face and attended her funeral, where his friends gathered; he finally spoke and suggested they eat hot pot.

  • Ankara let the Hunger Addiction consume her after learning that the God of Order was close to falling, then taught Kallen a way to pull the Hunger Addiction into a stalemate.
  • Kallen used Ankara’s method to resist the Hunger Addiction, while Alfred’s forces covered up the destruction at the hotel and Alfred went searching for Kallen.
  • Kallen wandered into a funeral society and used Order powers and Formation Setup to restore a dead girl’s face, briefly awakening her so she could choose whether to wear makeup.
  • The girl’s parents and friends held her memorial service, while Alfred, Richard, Philomina, and Kallen’s other companions gathered quietly in the back of the hall.
  • Kallen opened his eyes and said he was hungry, then suggested that Xili prepare hot pot for everyone.

Ch. 828Covered in mud

After returning from the Moon Order God Church outpost, Kallen set plans in motion to investigate several church matters and retrieve Ankara’s lost [Blade of Sighs]. He worked through the night, then dreamed that the [War Scythe] and an Order Sculpture were trapped in mud—and discovered he was covered in it too.

  • Kallen ordered Alfred to prepare a new sealing coffin, arrange visits to the First Knight Order and sealed space, and have Chief Bishop Byrne investigate the time project team.
  • Kallen instructed Alfred to investigate Mr. Rotini’s protectors and identify the research team so its members could be arrested and sent to Frontier Space.
  • Kallen revealed that his hunger addiction had absorbed Ankara’s inheritance, including the ability to sense the lost [Blade of Sighs], and ordered Earl Recar to search for it in Frontier Space.
  • Alfred told Vic that Kallen’s hunger addiction had chosen the Moon Order God Church outpost because Kallen had sworn to help the Dark Moon Goddess exact revenge.
  • Kallen read case files until dawn, went to sleep, and dreamed of the mud-covered [War Scythe] and Order Sculpture before realizing he was covered in mud himself.

Ch. 829Past and future

Kallen reviewed church business and inspected the Discipline Department’s purge before visiting the Guman Family, where his official standing made the family gathering stiff and ceremonial. The meal loosened the household’s mood, though Kallen left the family wrestling with the divide between their past familiarity and their new relationship to his power.

  • Kallen reviewed reports on the Blade of Sighs expedition, church visits, and the plot involving Mr. Rotini, then told Vic to use more aggressive interrogation methods.
  • Kallen inspected the overcrowded interrogation castle and learned that Vic’s purge had filled the prisons and sent batches of prisoners to the Order Judgment Court.
  • Kallen traveled with Little Kangna and Philomina to the Guman Family’s home, where Delong and local Clerics greeted him formally as Minister.
  • Delong and Tang Li celebrated Kallen’s visit in private, while the family struggled to relax around him during the meal.
  • Kallen rested upstairs, then found Philomina washing dishes under Tang Li’s eye as Richard mopped and Kaixi watched them, seeing echoes of her past and future.

Ch. 830The Silent Ones!

Kallen attended a secret gathering at Heartsea Manor, where the Whip Bearer revealed that his predecessor, Buken, had contacted the forbidden Silent Ones. The chapter ended as Fudeng ambushed Buken’s departing Blood-Colored Octopus with a Frost Dragon, declaring that Buken’s divination had failed.

  • Kallen received a summons from the Whip Bearer and traveled to Heartsea Manor with Philomina and Little Kangna, while Miguel asked for a field posting and accepted a low-level command in York City District.
  • Kallen met Dai'ersen, Labota, and Ximilis, who discussed the Church of Order’s possible response to the apparent murder of the Moon Order’s Divine Son, Sarayina.
  • The Whip Bearer introduced Kallen to his predecessor, Buken, who had emerged from Blood-Degree Space to meet him before departing on a blood-red octopus.
  • Fudeng told Kallen that Buken had disappointed him by contacting the Silent Ones, a mysterious organization Kallen had secretly investigated.
  • As Buken prepared to return to Blood-Degree Space, Fudeng summoned a Frost Dragon to trap the Blood-Colored Octopus and told Buken that his divination had been wrong.

Ch. 831The domineering Whip Bearer

Kallen watched Fudeng fight the former Whip Bearer Buken while guests from other churches observed, as Fudeng displayed Order’s mastery of other churches’ Spell Arts. The battle ended with Fudeng pressing Buken into a direct duel, and Little Kangna remarked that Fudeng resembled Kallen.

  • Kallen arrived on the meadow and gave Labota, Dailson, and Himilis no explanation as Fudeng began fighting Buken over the sea.
  • Fudeng summoned an armored war spirit to attack Red Octopus, while Buken shot Aoji with a blue arrow and wounded her.
  • Fudeng sacrificed the war spirit to heal Aoji, then used black-crescent-moon Eyes of Order to strike Buken with a Spiritual Storm.
  • Buken asked Fudeng to stop wearing him down and fight him directly, so Fudeng ended the storm, equipped a Lesser Divine Artifact, and accepted the duel.
  • Fudeng drove Buken onto the defensive in a rapid exchange across the sea, and Little Kangna told Kallen that Fudeng looked like him.

Ch. 832For You to Eat!

Fudeng defeated Buken and revealed that he opposed the God of Order’s return, while Buken admitted he could not fully reject that conviction. Buken then went to Kallen, offering him his inheritance and octopus before asking Kallen to prepare him for a dignified death.

  • Fudeng overwhelmed Buken in their duel, and Buken asked to join the First Knight Order before learning that Fudeng believed their Lord should not return.
  • Buken confronted the conflict between the church’s survival and a world without gods, while Fudeng explained why he considered the Order’s cause already victorious.
  • At Heartsea Manor, Kallen rejected Himilis’s accusations about Dali Wenluo and the Tree of Life branch, while Little Kangna watched her warily.
  • Buken offered Fudeng his inheritance and his blood-red octopus for Kallen’s dragon, then asked to bathe, eat, and change clothes before dying.
  • Buken appeared at Heartsea Manor and offered Kallen his inheritance, but Kallen said he had a duty to protect the Whip of Order’s property.
  • Buken asked Kallen to personally prepare his final meal, bath, and clean clothes, and Kallen said he was a professional at caring for the deceased.

Ch. 833My Lord!

Ventura brought Xili to Kallen’s island manor, where Kallen cooked dinner for Buken and the visiting church leaders before helping Buken prepare to transfer his power. As Buken’s inheritance reached Kallen, Buken saw the God of Order in Kallen’s soul and died praising his Lord.

  • Ventura took Xili from Mavario’s home to the island manor, where she overcame her fear of teleportation and began preparing dinner for Kallen.
  • Buken discussed Kallen’s suspiciously perfect background, his ties to the Silent Ones, and his decision to give Kallen his inheritance before learning that the High Priest had accepted him into the First Knight Order.
  • Kallen confronted Himilis, Labota, and Dailson about false accusations between their churches and declared that the Order God Church would return to supremacy when its Lord came back.
  • Kallen cooked dinner for Buken and the guests, then bathed Buken and helped him dress in ordinary Order clerical robes as they prepared for the inheritance.
  • Buken began transferring his Soul Power and Spiritual Power to Kallen while the Great Red Octopus gave himself to Little Kangna, and Buken saw the God of Order in Kallen’s soul before praising his Lord and dying.

Ch. 834A response from the Lord!

Kallen absorbed Buken’s Soul Power and arranged for Little Kangna to swallow his remains, then attended a meeting where Fudeng discussed the High Priest’s possible visit and gave Kallen authority over sensitive investigations. After returning to York City, Kallen discovered that Little Kangna had preserved Buken’s corpse and part of the octopus that remained within it.

  • Kallen finished absorbing Buken’s gift, while Hunger Addiction consumed all of Buken’s Soul Power and left his spiritual power untouched.
  • Kallen told Fudeng that Buken had willingly given himself, then had Little Kangna swallow Buken’s remains so they could be buried together.
  • Fudeng held a meeting with Kallen, Himilis, Labota, and Dailson, then told Kallen the High Priest might inspect York City District and encouraged him to pursue a sensitive search in Frontier Space.
  • Fudeng told Kallen to handle a disputed experiment as he saw fit and promised to take responsibility if trouble arose.
  • Kallen returned to York City with Alfred and Little Kangna, who became carsick and revealed that she had preserved Buken’s corpse and an Octopus Tentacle containing traces of consciousness.

Ch. 835An invitation from a Temple Elder

Kallen accepted an invitation to meet Elder Xidi and agreed to become her student, while Byrne revealed that his failed surgery had left him with about a month to live. The chapter ended with Kallen reminding Byrne to die in his office and asking him to choose a coffin.

  • Kallen reviewed the York City interrogations and agreed to meet Regional Guardian Puyuesen at Byrne's house.
  • Puyuesen offered Kallen a Divine Temple commendation and arranged for him to meet Elder Xidi, who wanted him as her student; Kallen agreed to meet her that night.
  • Byrne told Kallen that his father had died and asked him to support his son in a succession contest at the Pamireth Church.
  • Byrne revealed that an aggressive surgery had worsened his condition and that the Order God Church could announce his death in about a month.
  • Byrne gave Kallen a list of candidates for the next Chief Bishop, and Kallen asked him to choose a coffin from Little Kangna's catalog.

Ch. 836The foolish elder

Kallen visited the Millerton Funeral Society before traveling with Puyuesen and Little Kangna to Ponce Manor to meet Elder Xidi. Xidi’s attempt to test him with a staged sparring match turned hostile, and Kallen faced off against Kuluoyin Ponce.

  • Byrne asked Kallen to order a second coffin for his son, but Kallen said Byrne had only one slot, then left with Little Kangna.
  • At the Millerton Funeral Society, Kallen rested while Mrs. Millerton nervously spoke her thoughts aloud, and Little Kangna asked what home felt like.
  • Kallen, Puyuesen, and Little Kangna teleported to Ponce Manor, where Xidi and Rohan discussed Kallen’s visit and Xidi’s plan to test him.
  • At the council hall, Degunar Ponce offered Kallen an arranged exchange of skills with him and two other Ponce relatives, but Kallen refused and started to leave.
  • Kuluoyin Ponce blocked Kallen and drew her sword after he challenged the absurdity of the situation, and Kallen warned her that she was courting death.

Ch. 837Judgment!

Kallen fought Kuluoyin at Ponce Manor, where Xidi secretly intervened to give her advantages, but he ultimately killed her with [War Scythe]. After revealing his face, Kallen agreed to meet Xidi above.

  • Kallen left his mask on and began the duel, countering Kuluoyin’s sword and sealing the formations she used to attack him.
  • Kuluoyin drew on Ponce Manor’s formations, but Kallen took control of them and prepared a hidden attack; Xidi secretly interfered while Rohan urged her to stop the match.
  • Kuluoyin summoned the sea siren Mo'ermეila’s phantom and blasted Kallen with a soul attack, but Kallen protected Little Kangna and trapped Kuluoyin inside [Black Prison Castle].
  • Kallen invoked the 'Order Regulations' and pronounced a sentence of erasure; [War Scythe] cut through [Black Prison Castle] and killed Kuluoyin before Xidi could intervene.
  • Kallen removed his mask, revealed his true appearance, bowed toward Xidi, and said he was coming up.

Ch. 838Arrogance!

Kallen confronted Elder Xidi at Ponce Manor after executing her descendant, enduring her pressure while refusing to submit or become her student. He left with Little Kangna alive, while Xidi warned him that his protection might not last forever.

  • Kallen removed his mask, took Little Kangna to the rooftop, and greeted Elder Xidi before grilling meat in front of her.
  • Xidi confronted Kallen over the death of her descendant and used her power to crush him and Little Kangna with pressure.
  • Xidi offered to make Kallen her student and successor, but Kallen addressed her only as Elder and rejected the offer.
  • Xidi threatened to break Kallen's bones, but he prepared to burn away his soul if she tried to punish him, and she withdrew her pressure.
  • Kallen wiped the blood from Little Kangna's face, thanked Xidi for the meal, and left the manor as she warned him about the day Norton lost his position.

Ch. 839An accident!

Xidi suspected Kallen was hiding something, while Rohan tried to arrange a private meeting with him. Their struggle over a teleportation formation sent Kallen and Little Kangna to the Seal Land, where they encountered the ruined Siren Mo'ermეila, and Rohan rushed back to tell Xidi that the teleportation had gone wrong.

  • Rohan told Xidi he planned to invite Kallen, but Xidi said her instincts told her the Divine Temple's investigation was flawed and that Kallen's words had shaken her faith.
  • Xidi explained that the Siren Mo'ermეila had once entered Ponce Manor's Seal Land and made such a mess that Xidi had sealed its entrance herself.
  • Kallen and Little Kangna prepared to return to York City District, while the invisible Rohan altered their Teleportation Magic Formation to send them to his private garden.
  • Kallen sensed the alteration and fought Rohan for control of the formation, triggering a resonance with the ancient formation beneath the building.
  • The formation sent Kallen and Little Kangna to the Seal Land, where they saw Mo'ermეila among the bodies of a giant Angel and a Ferocious Beast, and her attention turned toward them.
  • Rohan discovered the damaged ancient formation and returned to the Council Hall to tell Xidi that Kallen's teleportation had gone wrong; Xidi reacted in alarm.

Ch. 840Order in the Dungeon

After Kallen and Little Kangna were accidentally teleported into the Ponce Families' Seal Land, Kallen tried to hide and await rescue, but the dungeon's creatures attacked them. They escaped the first threats together, while Rohan and Xidi began arranging a rescue from outside.

  • Rohan realized Kallen had likely been sent into the Seal Land and demanded its formation records, but Xidi said they were missing because she had taken them from the archives.
  • Xidi agreed to seek Senior Wukongjia's help while Rohan prepared to repair the entrance, though he cursed when he sensed Xidi trying to use the Teleportation Array again.
  • Kallen created an Order-Despair Sealing barrier around himself and Little Kangna, but a scarlet eye breached it and tried to suck them in.
  • Kallen bound the eye with Chains of Order and burned it, then Little Kangna carried him away as the approaching Siren Mo'ermelala attacked them with her song.
  • Kallen entered Little Kangna's consciousness and spread Orderization through her bones, allowing her to overpower Mo'ermelala, but he grew exhausted and urged Kangna to disengage.
  • A Twelve-Winged Angel blocked their escape, so Kallen sent Thousand Enchantments to draw its attention and Little Kangna flew out of the encirclement.

Ch. 841A cat's vindictiveness

Kallen and Little Kangna searched the Ponsi family's dungeon for a way out and discovered a statue of Paul Allen that was gathering resentment beneath Ponce Manor. Meanwhile, Wukongjia agreed to investigate Kallen's disappearance, leaving the danger around Xidi and the manor unresolved.

  • Rohan struggled to repair the Seal Land formation, while Fudeng told Norton that Kallen had disappeared after meeting Xidi at Ponce Manor.
  • Xidi asked Wukongjia for help, and he agreed to go investigate after criticizing her for what had happened to Kallen.
  • Kallen and Little Kangna found a hollow chamber beneath the dungeon and recognized its statue as Paul Allen.
  • Kallen discovered that the statue was gathering resentment into magma and that it might erupt through its seal beneath Ponce Manor within a few years.

Ch. 842The cross-dressing Primordial Ancestor

Kallen and Little Kangna encountered a corpse resembling Puer, who believed herself to be Kallen’s ancestor and nearly destroyed the seal before Kallen calmed her. The corpse then changed under the influence of the Space Serpent-Qisath, which emerged and demanded that Kallen honor an old rescue agreement.

  • Thousand Enchantments returned, and her descent caused the statue’s head to move as a female corpse emerged from the book it held.
  • Little Kangna and Kallen fought the corpse’s layered fire and formation attacks, and Kallen trapped her with a bone barrier.
  • The corpse summoned a female version of Primordial Ancestor Allen, revealing why Puer had used a different identity to protect Allen Manor during her adventures.
  • Kallen summoned Primordial Ancestor Allen’s phantom, and the corpse recognized him and agreed to leave after Kallen claimed Xidi had admitted her wrongdoing.
  • The corpse began raising the statue to break the seal, but its runes failed and its eyes turned green as the Space Serpent-Qisath emerged.
  • Qisath took control of the corpse and asked Kallen whether Puer’s descendants had followed an ancestral instruction to rescue it; Kallen said Puer had apparently not taken the promise seriously.

Ch. 843Roommate!

Kallen and Little Kangna escaped Qisath’s attack in the dungeon until Temple Elder Wukongjia arrived, subdued the serpent, and destroyed Puer’s statue. Kallen returned to Ponce Manor, where Wukongjia revealed he intended to take Kallen as his student and recognized him as his old roommate.

  • The female corpse demanded Little Kangna and ordered Kallen to help break the seal, but Kallen resisted Qisath’s attack and fled with Little Kangna on Thousand Enchantments.
  • Kallen evaded Qisath while collecting one of its scales for Little Kangna, until a dark red beam and Wukongjia’s projection descended into the dungeon.
  • Wukongjia crushed Qisath, shattered Puer’s statue, and helped Kallen teleport out of the dungeon.
  • Kallen returned to Ponce Manor and asked the clerics to teleport him and Little Kangna to York City District.
  • Wukongjia told Rohan that Kallen would become his student, then silently recognized Kallen as his long-lost roommate.

Ch. 844Mink Street

Kallen returned from Ponce Manor and learned from Fudeng that he was expected to become Wukongjia’s student and lead Church Headquarters personnel in a dangerous operation at Rojia City. After hearing that the Divine Temple and Church Headquarters were preparing to deal with Grandfather, Kallen realized the assignment would send him to Mink Street.

  • Kallen returned to York City, sent Little Kangna home with the Snake Scale for examination, and went secretly to meet Fudeng and the High Priest.
  • Kallen recounted the events at Ponce Manor, and the High Priest and Fudeng discussed the elders’ conduct and Kallen’s conflict with Xidi.
  • Fudeng explained the Divine Temple’s structure and told Kallen that Wukongjia was likely to take him as a student so he could organize Church Headquarters personnel for a major operation.
  • Fudeng revealed that the operation concerned the forbidden secret at Rojia City, and Aoji’s sealed memories caused her to howl when he mentioned Rasma and Rojia City.
  • Kallen returned to his office and told Alfred that the Divine Temple and Church Headquarters were preparing to deal with Grandfather; he then concluded that the assignment would send him to Mink Street.

Ch. 845Descent!

Kallen learned that Wukongjia had recognized him and would come to meet him, while preparing for his role in the coming operation in Rojia City. Wukongjia arrived at the Discipline Department in a colossal golden Dharma Body, leaving Kallen and the whole of Vien Island facing his dramatic descent.

  • Kallen told Alfred that he suspected Wukongjia might have recognized him and accepted that he would become the elder’s student because the operation involved Mink Street.
  • Kallen discovered he was scheduled to attend a memorial ceremony at the First Knight Order Base and spoke with Xideluode about someone seeking a meeting.
  • Xideluode rescheduled the meeting for that evening, and Kallen realized Wukongjia would come directly to him.
  • Kallen waited in the garden with Alfred and Vic, then ordered Vic to open the barrier when Wukongjia’s immense golden radiance appeared.
  • Wukongjia descended into the Discipline Department in a towering Dharma Body, shaking the castles and drawing prayers across Vien Island.

Ch. 846Loyalty!

Wukongjia visited Kallen, made him his student, and revealed his plans to renew his life by pursuing a godhead fragment and a secret time-research project. After Wukongjia returned to his star, he spoke with the sealed skull of Raniedal about the gods’ return and the possibility that Raniedal’s original self would return as well.

  • Kallen welcomed Wukongjia informally, and Wukongjia explained that his long life had left him lonely and that he had sought Kallen because they had once been roommates.
  • Wukongjia made Kallen his student, probed him with mental suggestion, and concluded that Kallen would not sincerely side with the Divine Temple.
  • Wukongjia revealed that he hoped to obtain a godhead fragment to renew his life and offered to help Kallen pursue the High Priest Position in exchange for guarding his secrets.
  • Wukongjia told Kallen about a secret time-research project in York City District and arranged to hand it over to him.
  • After Wukongjia left, Kallen vowed not to let him take something belonging to the Immerlis Family.
  • Wukongjia spoke with Raniedal’s sealed skull, which said its original self could return and advised Wukongjia to kneel wherever that self did.

Ch. 847The First Knight Order

Kallen dreamed of Order’s enemies and a decaying divine figure before waking in tears, then prepared to attend the First Knight Order’s memorial with Alfred. The group reached the canyon entrance to the Order’s garrison, where Kallen paid respects to the monument bearing the knights’ oath.

  • Kallen dreamed that Fudeng, Rasma, Norton, and other figures confronted him before he saw a decaying deity and woke in his bedroom.
  • Kallen spoke with Little Kangna and Alfred, approved placing their people in Wukongjia’s project team, and declined a security squad from the Whip Bearer’s Office.
  • Kallen set out with Alfred for the First Knight Order’s memorial, while Philomina joined the security detail.
  • Kallen, Byrne, and Leon traveled together, and Byrne asked when Kallen would visit the Pamireth Church for its Church Venerable election.
  • The group reached the frozen canyon beside the Tribunal, where Kallen said Byrne was wrong about the church’s highest-ranking Tribunal and inquisitor.
  • Kallen got out before the canyon and paid respects to the monument inscribed with the oath to become Order’s final line of defense.

Ch. 848Are you ready?

Kallen attended the Order God Church’s mourning ceremony for the First Knight Order and witnessed the sleeping legion answer the High Priest’s address with signs of a coming battle. As Kallen found balance with the prayers converging on him, the legion’s dead comrades replied to his question with a unified vow of readiness.

  • Alfred studied the inscription’s calligraphy while Kallen and the others entered the sacred grounds, where Little Kangna secretly gnawed a chunk from the White Bone Giant Gate and used her power to restore it.
  • Fudeng examined Kallen and wondered how his soul had strengthened so quickly, but accepted Kallen’s claim that cultivation came easily to him.
  • Zhongtasen explained the history of the White Bone Giant Gate and the First Knight Order to Little Kangna and Aoji before the High Priest arrived and saluted the Awakeners’ memorial.
  • The High Priest began the ceremony as the pyramid’s veil rose, and the First Knight Order’s prayers and vows overwhelmed Kallen while coffins trembled and the Harvesting Horn sounded.
  • The High Priest declared that the Order God Church would defend Order to the death, while Kallen steadied himself and asked the figures within the pyramid if they were ready.
  • The dead First Knight Order answered Kallen with one unified shout: “Always ready!”

Ch. 849The Divine Artifacts' Welcome

At the memorial ceremony, Norton declared that the Order God Church would oppose the gods’ return, and Kallen later visited the Sealed Space headquarters with Byrne and Little Kangna. The chapter ended as Kallen entered Area B, where the divine artifacts were stored, and a girl’s voice ordered them to welcome him.

  • The First Knight Order answered Kallen’s question with a unified roar, and the Order Clerics took courage from their predecessors’ resolve.
  • Norton denounced the gods’ return as a catastrophe and declared that the Order God Church would stand against their descent.
  • Kallen told Byrne that the High Priest planned to end the Desert war by attacking one church with the Order God Church’s full strength, though they had yet to draw lots for their target.
  • Kallen visited the Sealed Space headquarters with Byrne and Little Kangna, where Vic arranged access to Area B.
  • Kallen opened the gate to the artifact hall, and a young girl’s voice called for everyone to welcome him.

Ch. 850A deluge!

Kallen visited the sealed space, chose Jimos and the [Guardian's Shield] for a long-term lease, and promised the Artifact Spirits freedom while asking them to develop a hidden route. The Spear of Eternity's Artifact Spirit, Michiōs, warned him that the gods’ return could bring back powers from distant eras and revealed that Norton intended to preserve the God of Order’s suppression at any cost.

  • Loya welcomed Kallen and introduced him to 107 trusted Artifact Spirits who hoped he would eventually free them.
  • Kallen promised the Artifact Spirits new bodies and relative freedom, chose Jimos and the [Guardian's Shield], and asked Loya to improve a plan for a concealed route out of the sealed space.
  • A silver halo summoned Kallen to a higher-level sealed area, where he met Michiōs, the Artifact Spirit of the Spear of Eternity.
  • Michiōs explained that gods who had not been barred from the era could still return, potentially including overlords from even more distant eras.
  • Michiōs warned Kallen that Norton knew the truth about him and would kill him to restore the God of Order’s power, then quoted Norton saying he would let the flood swallow the world after his death.
