Drawing closer
The moment Lumian saw those Iron-Black eyes, his mind went completely blank.
Once he had calmed down a bit, he was shocked to find his body moving step by step toward the enormous Iron Throne, even though he hadn't intended to.
He could feel his body trembling noticeably, but he couldn't stop his legs.
His body no longer seemed to belong to him; it was obeying unknown commands and following the orders of others!
This scene, coupled with the figure on the Iron Throne resembling the "Blood Emperor" Alista Tudor, instantly reminded Lumian of two past events:
One incident occurred in the area where the "Samaritan Woman Spring" was located. Both he and Hella lost consciousness due to the violent reaction of the "Blood Emperor's " afterimage. Like manipulated Marionette or soldiers who obeyed orders, they walked back to the edge of the "Samaritan Woman Spring" on their own.
Another incident occurred Depths within the Underground Labyrinth of Red Swan Castle, where he, Albus, and Alois heard the illusory roar of Vermonda Soren emanating from Fourth Epoch Trier. They all lost consciousness, left the Core Area on their own, and headed towards different "Wax Figures Maker."
Is this a similar situation now? Is this an ability of the "Hunter" Pathway at the Angel level? Lumian forced himself to calm down in order to find a way out of his current predicament.
Compared to the previous two times, at least he regained consciousness much faster this time!
"Yes, why did I regain consciousness first this time, while my body remained under control?"
Is it that Alista Tudor's figure here is weaker and less powerful, or is there another reason?
"Perhaps this anomaly Concealment the key to overcoming control..."
Lumian tried to extend his will to his limbs, hoping to regain control of them.
This had some effect; his steps toward the Iron Throne gradually slowed.
He also took the opportunity to clearly see Alista Tudor's figure on the Iron Throne:
This "Blood Emperor" had a hardened face with chiseled lines, firm lips, a high nose bridge, and long hair that shimmered with a faint blood-red light. His Iron-Black Eyes held an extreme madness hidden within their coldness.
Suddenly, Lumian felt an urge to submit and give up resistance.
This impulse did not disappear quickly; instead, it swelled rapidly and filled his mind.
No, you can't resist...
"There's no way to resist..."
"Surrender, surrender and you will gain everything..."
"If He gets angry, I will be destroyed, and Franca and Jenna will be destroyed too..."
"Give up, give up, kneel down and beg for forgiveness, accept the order..."
Such thoughts surged through Lumian's mind, transforming into a raging torrent that battered his clarity, reason, and will.
He clenched his Teeth, as if the slightest relaxation would cause the final dam to collapse, and the Flood would completely engulf his will and soul.
He quickened his pace again, which had initially slowed down.
On the deck of the "Blue Avenger".
Both the Magician and the Hanged Man gaze at the Dreamlike Curtain hanging in mid-air.
On the semi-transparent curtain with starlight as its background, Lumian's figure had become blurred, and all around was darkness, so nothing could be seen.
Compared to the clarity just now, this indicates that something unusual has occurred.
In the eyes of the Magician and the Hanged Man, Lumian's body became increasingly stiff, but he walked faster and faster.
They also saw that Lumian's black hair seemed to be growing longer, and was beginning to glow with Blood-Colored hue.
"Something's not right." Alger, the "The Hanged Man," turned his gaze to the "Magician" Lady beside him.
The "Magician" nodded slightly and was about to take out a Sealed Artifact.
That would help her pinpoint Lumian's location, allowing her to directly enter that Concealment Alternate Dimension.
In the Gloom light, Lumian walked forward with a blank and indifferent expression.
His soul, however, was struggling, growling in Pain:
We cannot give up...
We cannot give up...
"Once I lose the will to persevere, I will no longer be myself..."
"Dog Shit..."
"Raised by a sow..."
"..."
Lumian tried his best, but felt himself increasingly inclined to submit. (And _book_)
Suddenly, the dam of his will collapsed, and giving up and surrender completely took over his mind and body.
Lumian's mind went blank once again.
In this state, he had no idea how much time Past until his right palm felt an icy chill like death and a rotting pain.
Death... cold...
"Rotten... painful..."
"Pain..."
Lumian was startled, but suddenly found his thoughts, regained his will, and instantly regained some control over his body.
At this moment, what lay before him was not a nine-tiered staircase, nor a massive Iron Throne covered in red marks, but a Mirror.
A full-length Silver Full-Length Mirror with a classic design and intricate patterns around its edges!
The Full-Length Mirror reflected Lumian's image.
Lumian saw his reflection in the mirror, his face contorted in Pain, as if he might give up at any moment. His facial features were gradually hardening, and his nose was becoming so prominent that it no longer resembled his own.
At the same time, his black hair grew longer and longer, stained with blood, and his blue eyes grew colder and colder, becoming increasingly dark.
"I'm becoming Alista Tudor..."
Lumian suddenly came to this realization.
He couldn't think about anything else. While his body could still obey commands to some extent, he immediately lunged to the side, trying to escape the reflection of the Silver Full-Length Mirror.
With a lunge and a roll, Lumian quickly made himself disappear from the Silver Full-Length Mirror.
The next second, he heard a faint scream, a frantic scream.
His mind went blank for a moment.
As his thoughts gradually returned, he found himself still curled up on the ground, the end point of his earlier roll.
His body didn't walk towards the Full-Length Mirror on its own; it just trembled uncontrollably, as if his blood had frozen.
Bang bang bang!
A frantic pounding sound seemed to emanate from inside the Full-Length Mirror, making it Mirror and rattle, as if it were about to shatter and Monster would crawl out.
Every slap he gave the Mirror echoed in Lumian's mind, again and again.
This gripped his mind with fear, his thoughts almost frozen.
After a while, the slapping sounds inside the Mirror gradually subsided, and the surroundings became unusually quiet.
Lumian's body stopped trembling, and he had gained some understanding and reflection on his current situation and what had just happened:
"If I really walk up to that Full-Length Mirror and my reflection undergoes the transformation, does that mean ' Blood Emperor ' Alista Tudor will be resurrected within me?"
"But as long as I'm not reflected in that Full-Length Mirror, and my image isn't shown on Mirror, the impact will be minimal, enough to prevent my will and body from losing control..."
"The key to triggering this Mutation is entering the reflection range of that Full-Length Mirror?"
"Things seem to have calmed down now..."
Lumian slowly propped himself up and carefully observed his surroundings.
He discovered that he was not in the deep hall at all, but in a strange space that seemed to be formed from starlight.
The floor here is semi-transparent, allowing you to see the endless darkness below. Above, there is no Dome, but twinkling, illusory stars.
On either side stood Starlight Gate rising from the darkness, together forming a deep and spacious corridor, at the end of which stood a Full-Length Mirror.
At this moment, Lumian had arrived at the Depths of the corridor, only about ten meters away from the Full-Length Mirror.
"Was the hall, stone chairs, Iron Throne, and the figure of the ' Blood Emperor ' that I just saw all an illusion?"
"Is the goal to make me submit?"
"Wait a minute, once I'm reflected in the Mirror, letting out that kind of roar will achieve my goal..."
In a flash, Lumian had a guess:
Perhaps the hallucination I just experienced— the Iron Throne, the figure of Tudor, and the broken stone chair—was caused by the Residual Aura of the "Blood Emperor" within me resonating with the Silver Full-Length Mirror. This triggered the "Underworld Daoist" Brand, helping me temporarily break free from control and gain the ability to escape the Full-Length Mirror's reflection...
Thinking of this, Lumian raised his right hand and looked at his palm.
The pale red scars there were vivid and lifelike, as if they had returned to the state when they first Lumian's body, while the Paleness skin around it showed obvious signs of decay, oozing a pale yellow liquid and making the White Bone beneath the flesh faintly visible.
This initially confirms Lumian's suspicions.
He once again turned his gaze to the Silver Full-Length Mirror facing him.
Having dealt with the "Person in the Mirror" many times before, he frowned slightly:
"Does the ' Blood Emperor ' want to Resurrection within me using that Mirror and his Residual Aura?"
There must be something hidden inside that Mirror...
The Blood Emperor's Resurrection Arrangement was orchestrated using the Mirror World...
"Yes, that's quite normal. Whether it's the special Mirror World or the ' Person in the Mirror ' from that world, they are all inextricably linked to this ' Blood Emperor's' Fourth Epoch Trier..."
"I previously thought the special Mirror World was a remnant of the ' War of the Four Emperors,' but Moran Avignon of the Tamara Family said that their family's connection to the Special Mirror World predates the ' War of the Four Emperors '..."
"Damn, could that Special Mirror World have been created by the ' Blood Emperor '?"
How many problems did He ultimately leave behind for the world?
"As expected of the ' Blood Emperor ' known for his madness..."
"But the Special Mirror World clearly can't escape the ' Primordial Witch '..."
"Could it be that the Witch Sect secretly seduced the Tamara Family, intending to subtly influence the ' Blood Emperor ' using Special Mirror World?"
"In the end, this was used by the ' Blood Emperor ' instead?"
"Fourth Epoch Trier is truly shrouded in mystery..."
As Lumian pondered the matter, he suddenly understood why Termiboros had prevented him from exploring the "Blue Avenger."
To explore this place, one either needs the Residual Aura of the "Blood Emperor's" aura sealed by the "Underworld Daoist," or possess the corresponding items or status to counteract that Intimidation or conquest. Otherwise, one will become Alista Tudor's Marionette upon entering, allowing Him to Resurrection within one's body.
This was definitely not a good thing for Termiboros.
As Lumian's gaze shifted, his attention settled on the Starlight Gate.
Does that represent different treasures?
