Arc 14The Bottle and the Catacombs
Lumian and his allies killed Guillaume Béné and uncovered his links to Roche Louise Samson and the Sinners, while investigating the secrets surrounding Aurora and Hugues Artois. The King Cake ritual left Lumian with disturbing nightmares, and his search for the Samaritan Woman Spring brought him and Hella into the Catacombs, where they encountered a mysterious woman and Monet.
- Lumian and Franca lured Guillaume Béné into a battle in the Fictional Bottle, where he revealed his plan to capture Lumian and free a sealed angel.
- Lumian and Franca trapped Guillaume’s spirit in a mirror, questioned him about Roche Louise Samson and the Sinners, then destroyed him as the Fictional Bottle collapsed.
- Franca revealed to Lumian that she and the Curly-Haired Baboon Research Society came from another world, and they agreed to investigate the Soul-Summoning Spell and Roche Louise Samson.
- Lumian met Hella, who suspected Aurora’s Soul-Summoning Spell had worsened her psychological problems, then joined Count Puyfer’s King Cake game and was warned by Termiboros to choose a different piece.
- Lumian reported Guillaume’s death to Mr. K, while Franca learned from military records that the battle in Anthony Reid’s account had never happened and their attackers were not Loen troops.
- Madam Justice explained that the King Cake game had caused Lumian’s nightmares and asked him to retrieve water from the Samaritan Woman Spring in the Catacombs.
- Lumian and Hella entered the Catacombs and encountered a distressed Gérard, then continued toward the fourth level as Franca and Jenna were approached by the Commissioner about a deal.
- Lumian and Hella navigated the fourth level, saw a candleless woman vanish near Crimson Order Hall, and reached the western tomb chambers, where Monet emerged through a damaged wall.
