• Lumian used the gray amber candle to enter the City of Calamity and reached the barrier around the Sinful Dragon’s prison.
• The Celestial Master, the Holy Monk, the head of Haoli, and the Master of the Dark Hut gathered at the Dragon-Locking Well and reinforced its seal, allowing Lumian to pass through the weakened barrier.

• Sharon reflected on her teacher's lesson about temperance before Renette left to curse their enemies, and Cattleya transformed into a stream of information and surged beyond the Protected Zone.

As Klein prepared to restrain the Old Ones, Lumian began the next stage of his plan: devouring one of them, with the Decaying Monarch as his chosen target.

• Klein assessed which Old Ones could counter his abilities and which he could hold off, using his Pillar symbolism to face three or four while other battlefields sought an opening.
• Klein used divination and prophecy to identify the Old Ones’ likely targets among the Sefirot and Uniquenesses, then prepared to steer them toward their goals.

Lumian and Amanises became teammates, and the Celestial Master and his allies prepared to confront the Higher-Dimensional Watcher as the battle continued.

• Eternal Darkness Amanises weakened the Decaying Monarch with the River of Eternal Darkness, but the Circle of Fate redirected Lumian’s attack and drew him away from his target.
• Lumian unleashed Doomsday Calamity to attack the Circle of Fate and delay the Higher-Dimensional Watcher, Unquenchable Muttering, and Primordial Hunger, then realized the Fourth Pillar could not yet be born.

• Red Angel Medici led the angelic legion in a surprise attack that severely wounded the Observer and forced him to withdraw.
• Klein used errors and doors against the Overlord of the Supernova, then turned the symbolism of Foolishness against the Goddess of Destiny while evading the Mother Tree of Desire.
• The Celestial Master overwhelmed the Higher-Dimensional Watcher with living knowledge, while Unquenchable Muttering awakened and corrupted the minds within the golden Buddha and the pitch-black fiend.

As Klein’s side gained an opening against the remaining Rulers of the Old One, the Fallen Mother Goddess revived several consciousnesses in the Chaos Sea, including the Primordial Witch God’s.

• Amon used the Chained Uniqueness to turn its connection to the Mother Tree of Desire into a link that transmitted Unquenchable Muttering’s curse to her.
• Klein’s attack transformed the Mother Tree of Desire into a chaos-scaled rabbit, but the Fallen Mother Goddess blocked his attempt to graft her connection and helped her escape to the Shadow World.

• Klein applied Change to slow Grisha Adam’s deterioration, transferred Amon to the planet at the edge of the universe, and returned to confront the Goddess of Destiny and the Overlord of the Supernova.
• Amon hid in the Protected Zone as the Love Goddesses and Leviathans left the battlefield, easing pressure on Franca, Medici, and the other Angels.

• The Goddess of Destiny used a śarīra to give the golden giant Buddha a new destiny, causing it to collapse and forcing the Celestial Master and the Heavenly Emperor's phantom to face the Higher-Dimensional Watcher alone.
• The Circle of Fate grew tempted to devour the Key of Light, while the Overlord of the Supernova summoned dying stars and formed a black hole in the star domain.

• The Overlord of the Supernova created new matter and interwoven destinies in an attempt to reconnect with the real world and the River of Fate.
• Amanises used the River of Eternal Darkness to destroy the Circle of Fate’s loop nodes, put his bodies to sleep, and delay his destined awakening with the Unifier of Time and Space.
