Next stop-Bayam
Having learned the whole story, Kronos finally felt relieved.
Beyonder Characteristic are great! You can just find something to store them in, there are no side effects, and they won't affect others. You can even find Artisan to create Beyonder Item.
Kronos remembered that there was a Artisan in Bayam, the capital of the Rorsted Archipelago, who was a descendant of the Emperor Roselle, and Bayam was his next stop.
Since it was a stray cat with Beyonder Characteristic, Kronos didn't hold back. He pulled out Dagger, cut open the cat's belly, and took out the Beyonder Characteristic.
After looking at the cat's disemboweled body, Kronos still felt it should be disposed of, so he lit a fire and burned the cat's corpse.
Because the corpse still retained extraordinary power, and Kronos wasn't sure if it would dissipate over time, it was best to dispel it artificially.
The source of the power has been dealt with, so the power in the air is like a rootless duckweed; even if you ignore it, it will dissipate in two or three days.
But since we've already promised to help these villagers solve their problems, let's see it through to the end.
Kronos scattered a large handful of grayish-black Sun powder. When burned, it emitted a bright but not irritating golden light, which flowed outwards like water.
This was originally a secret technique for dealing with ghostly creatures, but after being modified by Botu Argel, the patriarch of the family, it can now dispel some negative effects on a larger scale.
Of course, this "large area" does not refer to the entire Saint Luo Village, but rather to the five courtyards in the vicinity.
Outside the village, the villagers of Saint Luo Village were nearby, while Gner was in the distance, all worried about the situation inside the village.
However, the two sides had different concerns. The villagers were worried about whether this "Warlock" could solve the village's problems, while Gner was naturally worried about Kronos's situation.
Just when the villagers' and Gner's patience had been worn to the limit, a soft golden light shone through the village.
This golden light instilled confidence in everyone and gave them more patience to wait.
About ten minutes later, Kronos slowly walked out of the village.
The villagers immediately surrounded him, "Warlock, what happened?"
Hearing the cacophony of voices around him, Kronos felt his head buzzing and raised his hand to signal everyone to stop talking.
Unfortunately, the "Warlock's" power might not have been enough, so no one paid him any attention.
It wasn't until the Village Chief shouted several times that the crowd finally quieted down.
Once the crowd quieted down, Kronos spoke, "I've resolved the village's problems. No one will get sick anymore. The current patients can rest and recover in two or three days."
"Warlock, could you please heal us? We've been in this state for over half a month, and we feel extremely uncomfortable," said a person who looked particularly weak.
Kronos thought about it and felt that this was a good idea. Otherwise, he hadn't shown his abilities in Saint Luo Village, so this kind of acting wasn't thorough enough.
"Alright then, all the sick people should gather around me."
Despite their sickly appearance, these patients were surprisingly quick and soon gathered together.
The wide-range Spell that Kronos had just used was no longer applicable, so he used four Purification spells in a conventional way to Purification everyone.
After the Purification, although these people still looked sickly, it was because of the long period of weakness. These patients could feel that the "gap" in their bodies had been filled.
Only now did Kronos realize that the Potion was being consumed rapidly; he had clearly not been acting properly before.
Having successfully played the role and gained an Beyonder Characteristic, it was time for Kronos to retire gracefully. So, he used his Levitation Spell to take to the air.
Then he turned back to the villagers and said, "My mission is complete. See you again someday."
Then came an Invisibility Spell, and he vanished into thin air.
"Not bad, not bad, your skills in pretending to be a ghost are becoming more and more refined." Gner said, watching Kronos change his clothes.
Kronos didn't rule out the possibility that Gner was faking it, saying, "After playing it so many times, he's bound to get the hang of it."
"What are your plans after that?"
Kronos thought for a moment, then said, "I don't plan to disguise myself in Bayam. It's the capital of the Rorsted Archipelago, and the various powers there are very strict in their supervision, so let's wait until the Southern Continent."
This choice was quite wise. Bayam is different from Damir and Tiana. Because of the rich mineral resources and spices on Blue Mountain Island, Bayam's prosperity is absolutely no less than that of the major cities on the mainland.
The level of oversight by the church and the military is naturally no less than that on the mainland.
Although Gner had never been to Bayam, he had heard of this "City of Generosity," and after hearing about Kronos's plans, he expressed his clear support.
The journey from Saint Luo Village back to the Harbor takes about five hours, just in time to get back to the ship before sunset, which suits Kronos's wishes and won't disrupt the Fleet's plans.
Even though Kronos was exhausted on the carriage, he didn't choose to sleep. Instead, he planned to sleep until the next day after returning to the ship, so as to maintain a regular sleep schedule.
Having discerned Kronos's intentions, Gner Consciousness cooperated.
That is, from time to time, he would bring up certain topics and chat with Kronos.
They mostly talked about the knowledge Gner had learned in the army, because only useful things would make Kronos listen attentively.
After the carriage entered the town next to the Harbor, Gner forced Kronos to get out and have dinner.
According to Kronos, he wasn't hungry, but he was extremely tired and needed to get back to the ship to sleep as soon as possible.
But Gner knew that Kronos had used this as an excuse to skip lunch, which wouldn't do. After all, the experiences of the past few days had pushed his body to its limit, and he needed to recover properly.
Ultimately, Kronos failed to persuade Gner, so he got off the carriage and had a meal.
Just as Gner had predicted, Kronos became hungry as soon as he entered the restaurant and smelled the food.
When the food was served, Kronos was the only one in the entire restaurant who wolfed down his food; if Gner hadn't stopped him, he could have eaten enough for ten people.
Actually, his previous claim of not being hungry was more about his body being in a tense state and ignoring other sensations. Gner had experienced this himself, so he naturally understood.
Finally, after finishing the food for two, Kronos reluctantly left the restaurant.
"Didn't you say you weren't hungry? Didn't you say you didn't need to eat anything? If I hadn't stopped you, I'd have eaten all the waiters who served the food," Gner teased in the carriage.
Kronos remained silent, silently reciting to himself, "As long as I don't show my embarrassment, no one will know I'm embarrassed. Let him be strong as he may, the breeze still caresses the mountain..."
Goodness, anyone who didn't know better would think he was about to practice the Nine Yang Divine Skill.
But it worked. Seeing that Kronos didn't react, Gner naturally lost interest in continuing the teasing.
As soon as the carriage entered the Harbor, before it had even come to a complete stop, Kronos eagerly jumped off and ran towards the ship they were on.
All that remained in the air was the message: "I'm going back to sleep now. Don't come looking for me unless it's absolutely necessary."
A normal person would feel sleepy after eating and drinking their fill. Kronos was already exhausted, and now that he had eaten his fill, that feeling was naturally even stronger.
Gner shook his head; he would have to handle the cleanup himself.
After returning the carriage to the rental place, Gner carried the two people's backpacks back to the ship. After packing his things, Gner even went to see Benjamin.
Before leaving for Saint Luo Village, Gner told Benjamin that Kronos had not yet returned, and if anything went wrong, the Fleet would not be able to depart on time.
Now that Kronos has returned on time, it's only natural to tell him again that the departure time shouldn't be changed.
Benjamin breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that Kronos had returned safely, though not because the ship could depart on time.
If anything were to happen to Kronos on this journey, Benjamin could easily guess who would ultimately bear the brunt of Marquis Argel's wrath—besides himself, Benjamin.
But now that they have all returned safely, the Fleet can naturally depart on time.
We'll set off at 9 PM tonight, aiming to arrive safely in Bayam the night after tomorrow. We'll stay in Bayam for half a month to sell some goods, then fill the Fleet's cargo holds with spices from Blue Mountain Island before finally heading to the Southern Continent.
After exchanging only a few words with Benjamin Gner, Gner proposed taking the materials on the Evil-Patterned Black Panther with him, intending to keep them under his own supervision.
Of course, this does not include leopard meat and bones, because those are not important.
Gner's proposal naturally received strong support from Benjamin, who understood the principle that as long as I haven't done anything, I can't be wrong.
Now that Gner has volunteered to take on the responsibility of guarding these extraordinary materials, any problems that arise are naturally no longer Benjamin's responsibility.
Around 7 PM, Gner returned to his room carrying the precious materials from the Evil-Patterned Black Panther. Not only that, Kronos also entrusted him with the Beyonder Characteristic of the Demoness of Affliction.
Gner placed these items in his suitcase, then pushed it under his bed, before settling down peacefully to await departure.
At exactly nine o'clock in the evening, "whoosh~", the Fleet set off on time, next stop - "City of Generosity" Bayam.
