The Justiciar Card
Standing at the very front were the two Sanguine Duke, "Duke of the Full Moon" Olmer and "Duke of Creation" Cecil.
Both of these Duke are veteran Duke, born in the Dark Epoch, making them among the earliest Sanguine. Olmer, in particular, even followed Lilith, the progenitor of the Sanguine, alongside the Goddess of Beauty.
The last of the three current Duke of the Sanguine, who was promoted after Olnia's death, is Duke of Beast Taming Colin Beastmaster, whose favorite pastime is taming Paranormal Creature, but he is not here now.
The entire Sanguine force gathered around the Warning Bell, awaiting the arrival of this uninvited guest.
A moment later, before the Sanguine, Kronos's Messenger appeared from the Spirit World, immediately becoming visible to everyone.
An eerie silence fell between the two sides. The Messenger Lady was not fond of talking, and the Sanguine on the other side did not know what the uninvited guest was up to, so naturally he did not speak first.
The Messenger Lady calmly surveyed the entire Sanguine Settlement.
This place was painstakingly built by the entire Sanguine over several hundred years, so it naturally possesses all the advantages of a good Sanguine Settlement.
The two Sanguine Duke opposite the Messenger Lady were carefully scrutinizing this uninvited guest.
Because of his seniority, "Duke of the Full Moon" Olmer has always followed the lead of the other two Sanguine Duke, and this time was no exception. Olmer did not speak, Cecil naturally did not speak either.
However, Cecil quickly noticed something was amiss. Olmer, who was beside him, kept his brows furrowed and stared intently at the Spirit World Creature opposite him, without saying a word or reacting.
After a while, Cecil couldn't hold back any longer; if he didn't speak up, he would be disgracing the Sanguine.
So Cecil spoke first to Olmer: "My friend, this is our Sanguine's gathering area, and it is under the protection of the Church of Evernight. May I ask what brings you here?"
The Messenger Lady withdrew her gaze from the surroundings and focused her attention on the two Duke before her, but simply watched them quietly without saying a word.
"My friend, this is, after all, our territory. If you don't state your purpose, we may have to resort to more drastic measures to take you down."
But awkwardly, after saying that, the Messenger Lady remained silent, even tilting her head slightly in a cute way, as if asking, "What methods are you going to use?"
Cecil was already short-tempered, and the silence from the other side ignited his anger.
He turned his head, glanced at Olmer, and saw that the older brother still looked puzzled and conflicted, so He directly gave the order.
"Fellow tribesmen, prepare to attack!"
After decades or even centuries of refinement, the Sanguine ' attack methods have become quite sophisticated. Even Low Sequence attack formations can inflict considerable damage on a Demigod.
Upon hearing Duke Cecil's order, countless Sanguine Warrior mobilized their attack methods, awaiting Duke Cecil's command.
But at that moment, Duke Olmer seemed to be jolted awake, snapping back to his senses and shouting, "Disarm! This isn't the enemy!"
Although the Sanguine Warrior behind him were puzzled, Duke Olmer's influence was unmatched by anyone in the entire Sanguine, and the Warrior immediately ceased their combat stance.
Even Cecil showed no dissatisfaction; on the contrary, he breathed a sigh of relief. Now that Olmer was willing to take over, he could sit back and relax, and deal with the matter when he was needed later.
Olmer looked at the Messenger Lady with a complicated expression, then asked, "How long have you been awake? How are you doing?"
The Messenger Lady just looked at Olmer, but didn't say anything.
Olmer didn't pay attention to that and continued, "Now that you're awake, come back. We're doing well and can help you. Besides, what happened back then wasn't your fault; no one blamed you at all."
When this topic came up, the Messenger Lady was no longer indifferent. She trembled slightly and then slowly shook her head at Olmer. The movement was slow, but firm.
"Sigh!" Duke Olmer sighed. "If you don't want to, that's fine, but remember, we're all willing to support you."
At this moment, Duke Cecil, who was next to Olmer, seemed to suddenly Consciousness something. As a Sequence Two Angel, he began to tremble violently, and then a few tears fell from his eyes.
"Olmer, you're saying she's her?" Cecil asked.
But Olmer could easily understand what that sentence meant. "Hmm!"
Upon hearing this word, Cecil's tears flowed even more freely, and the several senior Marquis behind them seemed to understand something as well, all turning their gazes toward the Messenger Lady.
The emotions conveyed in those gazes were incredibly complex, including regret, nostalgia, and admiration, but not blame.
"Look, none of our people have ever blamed you," Olmer said with a complicated expression.
Only then did the Messenger Lady utter her first words since arriving here. "When... I... am... completely... alive..., I... will... come... back..."
Upon hearing that voice, Olmer, Cecil, and the other old Marquis all recognized it; it was a familiar voice they would never forget.
"Alright, we respect all your choices. What is the purpose of your visit? Do you need our help?" Olmer did not continue to persuade the Messenger Lady, but changed the subject.
"The... Ghost... Empire... Key... I... need... to... exchange... something..." the Messenger Lady said, enunciating each word clearly.
"The Ghost Empire? His Majesty also has a backup plan?" Olmer had naturally witnessed the moment when Trunsoest allied with the Sanguine.
The Messenger Lady didn't speak, she just nodded.
Upon learning this Information, Olmer, without saying a word, instructed the Marquis to dismiss their clansmen, and then, together with Cecil and the Messenger Lady, headed towards the Sanguine's current Treasury.
Although the Sanguine are no longer considered the top-tier power, they once had Ancient God and enjoyed a long period of glory. Their former enemies have all disappeared, while they themselves are still alive and well.
This alone is not something that can be accomplished by just two or three Sequence Two, and the Sanguine's Treasury perfectly proves this point; the things stored inside are no less than the foundation of the True God Churches.
This is why, after the War of the Four Emperors, countless forces hunted down the Sanguine, all because they coveted the Sanguine ' strength and resources.
However, a mere Token was hardly enough to exchange for so many high-level items, so Olmer simply led the Messenger Lady to the Mid-Sequence Storeroom.
The Storeroom was filled with an Beyonder Item and materials; anyone who entered would be astonished.
But the Messenger Lady didn't react; she just stood there quietly, motionless.
Olmer and Cecil remained silent, for they could sense that the Messenger Lady was using her Spirituality to sift through the entire Storeroom. After all, there were so many items; selecting them one by one would take an unknown amount of time.
A short while later, a wooden box flew out of the Storeroom and landed in the Messenger Lady's hands.
This should be what we're going to use to exchange for the Token.
The Messenger Lady reached out and opened the box; inside was a Playing Cards.
The Playing Cards depicts a person wearing a gorgeous coat, with long, slightly wavy chestnut hair, blue eyes, a high nose, thin lips, and a neatly groomed mustache.
This man held a Sword, and his demeanor was extremely Majesty and unyielding.
This is a Blasphemy Card created by Emperor Roselle, corresponding to the Sequence of the Justiciar.
"Isn't this a bit too valuable? This Blasphemy Card is one of the most precious ones in the Mid-Sequence Storeroom," Cecil said softly.
"This... person... is... the... key... to... my... complete... resurrection... and... perhaps... His... return... of... the... Night... Emperor... also... needs... him. He... has... great... potential."
Having said that, Olmer and Cecil had nothing more to say. If it was just a Token of the Ghost Empire, it really wasn't worth a Blasphemy Card.
However, if the purpose is to befriend such a person, then this Playing Cards is not a loss.
The Messenger Lady gently pinched the Playing Cards between two fingers, then turned to look at Olmer, just about to speak.
Olmer spoke first, "Just bring the Token to me later. I'll personally go to the Ghost Empire to retrieve the Beyonder Characteristic of the Hand of Order, and then I'll bring it back to the Sanguine for safekeeping. We'll wait for you to handle it then."
Olmer preemptively arranged what the Messenger Lady wanted to say, so Messenger remained Lady, only nodding slightly.
After leaving the Treasury, the Messenger Lady gestured to the two Duke, then turned and entered the Spirit World.
"He has returned, and perhaps His Majesty will return as well. Our confidence is slowly returning," Cecil said softly to Olmer.
Olmer sighed, "With them, our race finally has hope. I didn't feel this way before, but now I feel that Sequence Two really isn't very useful, since those who are eyeing us are all Sequence One."
In fact, it has always been the Royal Family of those few countries that have suppressed the Sanguine, all of whom are envious of the Sanguine ' accumulated wealth.
Each of these families has Sequence One, which leaves the Sanguine with virtually no chance to fight back. They are forced to hide and flee. If it weren't for the protection of the Evernight Goddess, it's hard to say whether the Sanguine would have survived to this day.
