Ch. 205The Starship Sets Sail

Kronos discovered that the altered mask had become a powerful Death God Mask fused with Gregrace's blood, then found the Pisces constellation and gained a new perception ability. After deciding he could manage supplies and dangers at sea, he reinforced a small boat with Star Sand and sailed alone from Damir Port.

  • Kronos appraised the changed mask, learned it was a Death God Mask fused with Gregrace's blood, and replaced his Vampire Mask with it.
  • Kronos returned to Damir Port and failed to find a boat willing to take him directly to Tiana Island without stopping at Bansy.
  • Kronos spotted Pisces in the stars, communicated with the constellation, and used Star Sand to summon two fish that let him perceive everything within fifty meters.
  • Kronos decided to sail alone, bought a small boat, reinforced its hull with Star Sand, and shaped a spiritual propeller beneath it.
  • Kronos sailed out of Damir Port aboard his dazzling, Star Sand-covered boat as onlookers watched.

Ch. 206Lion Constellation

Kronos sailed toward the Ghost Empire, studied the constellations, and discovered a second way to use Pisces. After venting his mounting frustration at sea, he saw the complete Lion Constellation and used Time Reload to restore his strength before channeling its power.

  • Kronos changed course toward the Beluga Whale Sea after sensing the Ghost Empire, while the messenger lady secretly redirected the Empire toward him.
  • Kronos struggled with loneliness at sea and studied the Twelve Zodiac Signs, locating several incomplete constellations, including Lion Constellation.
  • Kronos discovered that he could channel Pisces's power into his body to perceive everything within fifty meters, though the form drained his spirituality quickly.
  • Kronos grew frustrated by his stalled research and repeatedly punched the sea with Star Sand's power, filling the Starship with seawater.
  • Kronos spotted the complete Lion Constellation, used Time Reload to restore his stamina and spirituality, and began channeling its power.

Ch. 207Olnia

Kronos drew down the Lion Constellation and discovered that its power enhanced his body and let him fight without tiring, then resumed his research into emotions and constellations. After finding the Ghost Empire, he encountered the Night Emperor’s presence and learned that his messenger was Olnia, the Blood Moon Queen and former wife of Trunsoest, leaving him alarmed by the danger her identity could bring.

  • Kronos drew down the Lion Constellation, tested its physical form, and discovered that its power gave him enhanced physical attributes and a battle-ready berserk state fueled by anger.
  • Kronos speculated that emotions could attract constellations, but after two weeks of research he made little progress and grew accustomed to life at sea.
  • Kronos’s starship struck the Ghost Empire, and the skeletal general let him aboard and teleported him to the mausoleum.
  • Kronos used his Eyes of Mystery Prying to see the Night Emperor Trunsoest, whose words drained Kronos’s spirituality, then heard an emotional voice invite him to begin the Mid-Sequence trial.
  • Olmer and Kronos’s messenger appeared before him, and the messenger confirmed that she was Olnia, the Blood Moon Queen and Trunsoest’s wife.
  • Kronos recognized Olnia’s history and feared that her identity would draw the Sanguine into conflict with the royal families and the True Gods.

Ch. 208Another attempt

Kronos learned that Olmer wanted him to help Olnia revive by growing stronger, then entered the Ghost Empire’s trial to fight for a Demigod-level item. His battle against a Sequence 5 Guardian reached a stalemate until he used the Curse of Time, leaving the Guardian’s weakened defenses pierced by his arrow.

  • Olmer explained that Kronos’s connection to Olnia would help her revive, and offered the Sanguine’s support while refusing to interfere in conflicts with the True Gods’ churches or royal families.
  • Kronos entered the trial after Olmer confirmed that defeating a Sequence 5 opponent could earn him a Demigod-level item.
  • Kronos fought an armored skeletal Warrior, using the Big Dipper Sword, the Elf Charm, and the Deadly Crossbow to keep his distance.
  • The Warrior activated a powerful defensive stance, and Kronos identified him as a Guardian of the God of Combat Pathway.
  • Kronos used the Curse of Time to weaken the Guardian’s defenses and fired an arrow through the invisible barrier, but the Guardian raised his greatsword to shield his face.

Ch. 209Manipulation Gloves

Kronos defeated the Skeleton Warrior’s final attack and received healing from Olmer, then collected the warrior’s armor and claimed a Demigod-level Sealed Artifact as his trial reward. He left the chapter wearing the armor and holding the Manipulation Gloves, whose use could worsen his negative emotions.

  • Kronos used Chaos to redirect the Skeleton Warrior’s thrust, stabbed the warrior’s skull, and retreated when the warrior began preparing Storm of Light.
  • The Skeleton Warrior unleashed Storm of Light and collapsed as the door opened; Kronos survived behind Chaos and Armor of Guardianship but was badly injured.
  • Olmer healed Kronos, reassured him about defeating an elite Sequence 5 opponent, and explained that the Skeleton Warrior’s armor was General Armor with Guardian-level defensive strength.
  • Kronos collected the Skeleton Warrior’s Beyonder Characteristic and put on the General Armor.
  • Kronos found the Manipulation Gloves, read their description and negative effects, then put the Sealed Artifact on his left hand.

Ch. 210Experiment

Kronos left the Ghost Empire with a demigod-level Manipulation Gloves and headed toward Olavi to seek help from Sharf and Amyrius. While testing whether emotions could help him discover constellations, he completed Scorpio and realized that the starlight reaching for him was likely an Outer Deity's attempt to establish a connection.

  • Olmer explained the Manipulation Gloves' manageable negative effects and told Kronos that Olnia's intuition had identified him as the one who could help resurrect Her and the Night Emperor, though he withheld the full uncertainty behind it.
  • Olmer gave Kronos directions to Nas and Oravi Island, and Kronos chose to sail toward Olavi as a stopover on his way to Bayam.
  • At night, Kronos used the Manipulation Gloves to enter his Mind Stone Island and create false memories that filled him with envy, testing whether the emotion would draw Scorpio's attention.
  • Kronos's envy helped him complete Scorpio's outline, and his potion rapidly digested as the constellation appeared in full.
  • When Scorpio sent down starlight, Kronos used Concealment of Time to keep it from reaching him and realized an Outer Deity was likely trying to connect with him.

Ch. 211Starship Ranger

Kronos connected with Scorpio after discovering that emotion could help him locate constellations, but his Mind Stone Island warned him that repeatedly fabricating memories could damage his mind. After arriving on Olavi Island, he learned that his name and deeds had made him famous as the “Starship Ranger,” then bought a new boat and sailed past Olavi Port to announce his arrival.

  • Kronos waited until the starlight energy dispersed, connected with Scorpio, and gained a poison attribute for his spirituality.
  • Kronos stopped fabricating memories after his Mind Stone Island warned that repeated memory tampering could cause cognitive problems.
  • Kronos reached Olavi Island, avoided governor Aston Rieveldt, and settled into an inn.
  • Kronos learned that Amyrius had helped spread his name after the Bayam Navy Base praised his role in the defeat of the Iron-Blooded Pirate Group.
  • Kronos bought a new small boat, equipped it with star sand and his gear, and sailed ostentatiously past Olavi Port as the Starship Ranger.

Ch. 212Seeing Sharf Again

Kronos sailed to Bayam, where he reunited with Sharf and asked him to help secure the Starship Ranger and study the Parasitic Bone. Sharf explained that he was hiding from people seeking to capture Artisans, and offered to gather information through contacts while Kronos pursued the Admiral of Stars.

  • Kronos wrote to Sharf asking him to find a safe place for the Starship Ranger and meet him at Bayam, while warning Olnia not to scheme against him.
  • Kronos considered ways to obtain the Mysticologist potion formula and mythical creature blood, including the Mutated Sun Sacred Emblem, but admitted he might have to use elf blood if he could not wait.
  • Olnia told Kronos that she could not provide useful blood because her Beyonder characteristic was not in her body, and she did not know the Mysticologist potion formula.
  • Kronos reached Bayam and used the Parasitic Bone to cross the harbor and bring Sharf aboard the Starship Ranger, then asked Sharf to study the item and find a safer way to use it.
  • Sharf led Kronos to his rented seaside house and explained that he was hiding because people wanted to capture him for his Artisan abilities.
  • Kronos said he planned to seek information about the Admiral of Stars through the navy, and Sharf offered to use his Sequence 9 contacts to gather information or take jobs.

Ch. 213Visiting Amyrius

Kronos asked Sharf to help the Death God Mask fuse with the Phoenix Ancestor's blood while preserving useful abilities, then visited Amyrius at Bayam's Navy Base. Amyrius explained that he had deliberately shown goodwill toward Kronos to make future assistance seem natural and to keep the royal family from becoming suspicious, though Kronos suspected he was concealing something.

  • Kronos asked Sharf to avoid extracting the blood from the Death God Mask and instead accelerate its fusion with the mask.
  • Kronos asked Sharf to preserve Apprentice Pathway abilities such as Teleportation and Spatial Concealment, and Sharf began working on the mask.
  • Kronos visited Amyrius, and Lü Er'an warned him not to bring trouble to the general before Kronos dismissed his concerns.
  • Kronos told Amyrius that his brother and secretary believed he planned an alliance with the Argel Family, and Amyrius admitted he had deliberately shown appreciation for Kronos.
  • Amyrius explained that Grove Augustus had thoroughly questioned him and that acting in line with Grove's understanding of him would prevent royal suspicion; Kronos accepted the explanation but suspected Amyrius was hiding more.

Ch. 214Mr. Hanged Man

Kronos sought information about Admiral of Stars Cattleya from General Amyrius, but the navy had no leads, so he turned to Sharf’s contacts. Sharf introduced him to Alger, who agreed to ask around for Cattleya’s location and learned that Kronos was the Starship Ranger and a Sequence 5.

  • Kronos asked Amyrius for information on Cattleya, but Amyrius said the navy had no useful intelligence and suggested the Church of Storms might know more through the Negan family.
  • Kronos asked Sharf to help him contact Cattleya, explaining that he wanted to trade with her and might use force if the deal failed.
  • Sharf arranged a meeting with a pirate liaison, who set up a meeting with his captain for the following day.
  • Sharf introduced Kronos to Alger, who declined to contact Cattleya directly but offered to inquire about her approximate location.
  • Alger asked whether Kronos was the Starship Ranger Klein and what Sequence he was; Kronos confirmed that he was Klein and Sequence 5.

Ch. 215A pirate gathering

Kronos obtained the completed Death God Mask, used pride to connect with Sagittarius and gain a powerful archery blessing, then learned of a pirate trading gathering in the Berserk Sea. With Amyrius’s Spirit World coordinates, he traveled to Midway Island and continued toward the gathering.

  • Alger left to seek news of the Admiral of Stars after Kronos could not provide the Seafarer potion formula, and Sharf realized Alger was a Church of Storms intelligence agent who had kept his identity secret.
  • Sharf completed the Death God Mask, which gained sealing, Spirit World traversal, and storage abilities, along with a risk of being possessed by a wraith whenever Kronos used it.
  • After his Mind Stone Island recovered, Kronos simulated pride, connected with Sagittarius, and gained greatly improved archery that increased the Deadly Crossbow’s attack power by thirty percent.
  • Alger sent word that a pirate trading gathering would take place in the Berserk Sea in a week, with Pirate Generals expected to attend.
  • Kronos obtained Spirit World coordinates from Amyrius, departed Bayam aboard his Starship, and used the Death God Mask to reach Midway Island by way of a deserted island.

Ch. 216Door

Kronos reached a deserted island while searching for the pirate gathering and discovered a cave containing Benjamin Abraham’s final message and a Door Blasphemy Card. After taking the card, he began reading Benjamin’s account of his struggle against the Abraham Family’s curse.

  • Kronos sailed beyond the safe shipping lanes, endured dangerous currents and storms, and searched the target waters for the pirate gathering’s island.
  • Kronos found a lone island that was not the gathering place, sheltered from a storm, and explored a cave at its center.
  • Kronos discovered a stele bearing the name Benjamin Abraham and found an envelope hidden beneath it.
  • Kronos recognized the card in the envelope as Emperor Roselle’s Door Blasphemy Card, put it away, and opened Benjamin’s letter.
  • Kronos read Benjamin’s final message, which described his family’s curse and how the Full Moon Ravings eventually overwhelmed him despite the card’s protection.

Ch. 217The Golden Dream and the Death Announcer

Kronos reached a pirate gathering after recovering the Door card from Benjamin Abraham’s island, where he encountered Edwina Edwards and the King of Immortality, Agalito. Edwina said Cattleya would arrive the next day to help keep Agalito occupied while the gathered pirates departed.

  • Kronos found Benjamin Abraham’s island, took the Door card, and sailed toward the assembly signals after sleeping there.
  • Kronos reached the gathering island and waited among the pirates, hoping to find Cattleya.
  • Edwina Edwards arrived aboard the Golden Dream and aimed its Cannon of Purification at the approaching Death Announcer.
  • Agalito’s Death Announcer stopped opposite the Golden Dream, but Agalito turned away after Edwina warned that attacking her before the gathered pirates would violate Nast’s rules.
  • Edwina told the gathered pirates that Cattleya would arrive the next day to help keep Agalito occupied so they could leave safely.

Ch. 218Preparing to break out

Edwina prepared to escape the King of Immortality with help from Cattleya and recruited Kronos, who revealed himself as Klein, to aid the Golden Dream. The Golden Dream set out to draw Agalito’s pursuit while the other pirates fled in the opposite direction.

  • Edwina contacted Cattleya for help and calmed the frightened pirates by promising they could resist Agalito.
  • Kronos offered to help, revealed he was Klein the Starship Ranger, and joined Edwina aboard the Golden Dream to discuss their plans.
  • Edwina learned that Cattleya had reached the area and agreed with Kronos that a confrontation with Agalito was difficult to avoid.
  • The next morning, Edwina and Kronos planned to break out while holding off Agalito until Cattleya could assist.
  • After Kronos meditated, the Golden Dream sailed at full speed to draw Agalito’s attention as the other pirates left in the opposite direction.

Ch. 219Open fire

The Death Announcer caught up with the Golden Dream, and Kronos, Edwina, and the crew fought to keep it at a distance. As Agalito’s attacks slowed the Golden Dream, Admiral of Stars Cattleya arrived aboard the Future to support them.

  • Kronos sensed danger approaching and warned the Golden Dream’s crew to prepare for battle.
  • The Death Announcer caught up and its laughter afflicted the Golden Dream’s crew, but Edwina’s Holy Light dispelled the effects.
  • Kronos and Edwina struck down two attackers trying to board, and Orpheus’s Cannon of Purification hit the Death Announcer, which roared and sped up.
  • Agalito’s scream incapacitated the Golden Dream’s crew and slowed the ship, but Kronos fired at him and forced him to stop screaming and dodge.
  • Kronos began meditating to recover his spirituality as Cattleya arrived aboard the Future and opened fire on the Death Announcer.

Ch. 220Cattleya's Condition

Agalito abandoned his attack after Kronos’s arrow pierced his armor, and the Golden Dream and the Future drove off the Death Announcer. Kronos then met Cattleya aboard the Future and negotiated for the Mysticologist potion formula, but warned her that the star chart she wanted was dangerous.

  • Agalito rejected Kircheis’s plan to board the Golden Dream and tested Kronos’s arrow, which pierced his armor and convinced him to retreat rather than risk his crew.
  • The Golden Dream and the Future celebrated the Death Announcer’s retreat, while Kronos realized he had earned Agalito’s enmity.
  • Cattleya recognized the constellation power Kronos had used, and Edwina introduced them before Cattleya invited him aboard the Future to talk.
  • Cattleya asked whether Kronos belonged to the Argel Family, and he admitted that he did and said he had sought her out because of her connection to the Dawn.
  • Kronos asked Cattleya for the Mysticologist potion formula in exchange for something of comparable value, and she requested his star chart to help digest her potion.
  • Kronos warned Cattleya that observing the cosmos was dangerous and said he had remained unharmed because the God of Steam and Machinery had watched over him.

Ch. 221The formula in hand

Kronos and Cattleya negotiated a trade for the Mysticologist potion formula, agreeing that he would help her summon a messenger and protect the Future’s crew during her duel with Vice Admiral Dusk. After receiving the formula, Kronos returned to Midway Island, obtained most of the ingredients from his father, and appraised a newly made Beyonder Item.

  • Cattleya asked Kronos about the horror in the starry sky, but he said he did not know and changed the subject to trade conditions.
  • Kronos and Cattleya agreed that he would help her summon a messenger and guard the Future’s crew if she lost her fight with Vice Admiral Dusk, in exchange for the Mysticologist potion formula.
  • Under Orpheus’s notarization, Kronos and Cattleya signed a contract, then Kronos helped her contract a messenger and received the formula.
  • Kronos learned that Cattleya would try to obtain a Spirit Illusion Heart in exchange for a section of Mystical Ancient Tree branch, then used Spirit World Traversal to reach Midway Island.
  • Kronos sent Marquis Argel the formula and ingredient list, and Olnia returned with the ingredients and a pocket watch made from Jason’s Beyonder Characteristic.
  • Kronos appraised the Desire Pocket Watch and learned its abilities and its dangerous effect of intensifying the bearer’s desire to kill.

Ch. 222Aboard the Future again

Kronos returned to Bayam after the pirate gathering, where rumors about his role in the clash with the King of Immortality spread across the Five Seas. He joined Cattleya aboard the Future to prepare for her fight with Vice Admiral Dusk, then asked to borrow her Astrology Instrument.

  • Kronos used Spirit World Traversal and the Starship to return to Bayam, where he told Sharf that Cattleya wanted him to support her in a coming battle with Bratov.
  • Pirates spread exaggerated accounts of Starship Ranger Klein helping Vice Admiral Iceberg and Admiral of Stars drive back the King of Immortality, and Sharf questioned Kronos about what had happened.
  • Kronos traveled to Nas and waited at the general store Frenzied Whale Dance until the Future arrived, then used Spirit World Traversal to board it beside Cattleya.
  • Cattleya explained that she had replenished supplies already and expected the Future to reach the battle site in two or three days; Kronos shared his experience fighting a Guardian, and she said the Moses Ascetic Order supported her mission.
  • Kronos asked Cattleya to lend him her Astrology Instrument so he could study it.

Ch. 223The "Ticket" Secured

Kronos investigated Cattleya’s astrology instrument and discovered it had come from the upper reaches of the Spirit World, carrying an aura he believed belonged to Sefirah Castle. After persisting despite Green Light-Serapis’s warnings, Kronos received a matching crystal ball and secured his chance to join the Tarot Club.

  • Cattleya tricked Kronos into studying her astrology instrument by claiming it contained a great secret, though she had found nothing unusual in it.
  • Kronos used the Eye of Time to trace the instrument’s history and saw that it had flown out of the upper reaches of the Spirit World.
  • Kronos repeatedly entered the Spirit World to search for another object like the instrument, until Green Light-Serapis appeared and warned him to turn back.
  • Kronos insisted he wanted to find such an object and challenged Serapis to guarantee his loved ones’ safety if he stayed out of coming troubles.
  • After consulting with the other Pure Lights, Serapis gave Kronos a green crystal ball and expelled him from the Spirit World.
  • Kronos confirmed that the crystal ball carried the same aura as the astrology instrument and put it away as his ticket to the Tarot Club.

Ch. 224The trap

Cattleya went to meet Vice Admiral Dusk Bratov, who refused to fight but offered to publicly concede the admiral title if she was lucky. While she was away, the Feysac Empire's Sonia Fleet ambushed the Future, and Kronos used Chaos to keep the first volley from hitting the ship.

  • Kronos returned the Astrology Instrument to Cattleya, and she told him the Future would reach the dueling island in less than three hours.
  • Cattleya explained that she needed the Spirit Illusion Heart to obtain the Mysticologist potion formula, then arrived at Bratov's island and followed his boatswain inland.
  • Bratov told Cattleya he did not intend to fight her, but would publicly announce his defeat and grant her a legitimate admiral's title if she was lucky.
  • Kronos sensed malice coming from the sea and warned the Future's crew to prepare, then saw the Feysac Empire's Sonia Fleet and its accompanying ships approach.
  • The Feysac fleet opened fire, and Kronos activated Chaos through his Star Sand and Chaos Bracelet to deflect the cannonballs into the sea.
  • The crew refused Kronos's order to charge away while Cattleya remained on the island, and the Future was eventually grazed by a cannonball.
