Yang Yi had no time to examine and compare them. He simply bought five Iron Beak Masks at 2,000 Conch Coins apiece.
The masks were probably craftable. The seller had five on hand, and Yang Yi bought them all.
Whether he kept them as spares or sold them later, he would not lose out.
After he put on the new mask, that damned sweet fragrance was finally blocked out completely, replaced by a somewhat pungent but refreshing medicinal smell.
Compared with the silver mask, the iron mask lacked curse resistance, and its protection against plague was weaker too.
Fortunately, it still blocked odors. That was exactly what Yang Yi wanted!
Next, Yang Yi began buying sea salt in bulk. It was very cheap, at 10 Conch Coins per kilogram. Almost nobody bought it to eat; it was mostly used as a raw material for table salt.
Yang Yi bought 32 tonnes in one go. Cloth sacks of sea salt filled the hold, with plenty even piled in the ship's atrium.
Fortunately, he had the Bone Arms to do the heavy lifting. Otherwise, moving and organizing everything would have been a hassle.
He stopped at 32 tonnes because the Nightmare Star had acquired a negative status: overloaded.
Sailing speed decreased by 50%, and turning agility decreased by 50%.
Yang Yi put one tonne of sea salt into the fully ripened Stomach Pouch before the status was cleared.
Then he bought another 500 liters of fresh water, this time putting it straight into cleaned wooden barrels and sealing them with lids, before he finally stopped shopping.
His total spending came to 335,000.
Yang Yi had 1,177,500 Conch Coins left in his account.
The transactions were completed in about forty minutes.
But the work was not over yet.
As Su Na had said,
