The red and pink potions were fine; both were pure liquid.
But this colorless potion had several Long-Legged Sardine legs soaking in it... It needed chewing as well as drinking, and was very thick.
"Su Na, what exactly did you make these potions from?" Yang Yi asked.
But Su Na did not respond.
"Su Na?" Yang Yi called again.
She still did not react.
Sensing something wrong, Yang Yi reached out to touch her and found that her body was slightly hot.
"This woman!"
He immediately opened the Sailing Log and checked Su Na's information on the crew page.
This information only included her health status, not her attributes or talents.
---------- Su Na Status: injured/fever/collapsed from exhaustion "a human figure with arms and legs spread, its entire body faintly yellow" Sanity: 35/80 (madness-obsession) Vitality: 82/100 Energy: 12/100 ----------
"Her maximum Sanity is only 80?" Yang Yi frowned.
This was the first time he had taken the initiative to check Su Na's information.
After reading it, Yang Yi understood the cause.
Su Na must have barely slept these past few days, staying in the laboratory and neglecting sleep and meals until she finally wore herself out!
With Energy below 30, she could faint at any moment!
"Obsession..."
This was Yang Yi's first time seeing a madness status. Apparently, there were many different types.
His talent was special, so he would not go mad and would receive no notifications, even if his Sanity dropped to 1.
"What a troublesome woman. She can't even take care of herself!" Yang Yi frowned.
As captain, he had the highest authority, including restricting access to rooms.
So Yang Yi immediately imposed an access restriction on Su Na, revoking her right to enter and leave the laboratory.
Then he fetched salt and a Vitality Coconut, mixed up a bottle of Refreshing Coconut Juice on the spot, lifted Su Na's chin, and fed it to her. A lot spilled, but that did not matter.
He had originally intended to give Su Na the colorless potion, but it was thick and viscous, required chewing, and had unknown effects.
Giving it to a sick person would be too dangerous, so he abandoned the idea.
"She's really heavy!" Yang Yi complained.
Under normal conditions, his Strength was only 4, below the adult average, so even carrying Su Na on his back was difficult.
Only after considerable effort, enough to gain 1 point of Strength experience, did he carry Su Na back to her room, panting heavily.
"This woman must be made of concrete. Her chest isn't big, and she doesn't look fat, so why is she so heavy?"
Fortunately, the Nightmare Star was not a large ship. If it had been a massive ship like the Iron Will, Yang Yi reckoned he would have had to drag her instead.
Su Na's room was next to the captain's quarters, and this was Yang Yi's first time entering it.
Its style was completely different from his captain's quarters. There was no musty smell, and the wooden floor beneath his feet was solid.
There were even several glowing crystal balls embedded in the ceiling to provide light.
This room seemed to have been transferred over based on the Astrologer's original captain's quarters, and was entirely out of place aboard a ghost ship.
Yang Yi put Su Na on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and left her a message in the log.
"I've restricted your access to the laboratory! Check your activity log when you wake up! You didn't even know you'd gone mad!"
But would someone who had gone mad really check their activity log and pay attention to their Sanity?
Yang Yi had never gone mad, so he did not know.
After sending the private message, he prepared to leave.
Suddenly, he noticed a small notebook on the nearby table, with a few words written on it-Yang Yi's observation diary.
"What the heck is this?"
Curious, Yang Yi opened it. After just a few pages, his scalp began to prickle.
It recorded all sorts of information about him, including what he ate, when he slept, how long he slept, when he relieved himself, how long he took, and so on, down to the smallest detail!
Su Na: "He doesn't go mad even when his Sanity falls below 50. Does he have some unique talent? I really want to see the structure of his brain!"
Reading this, Yang Yi felt a chill deep inside. His gaze turned cold as he looked at the sleeping Su Na.
Had this woman... been treating me as a lab animal all along?
Yang Yi could not help feeling a trace of killing intent.
Fortunately, the diary took an abrupt turn later on.
"So he gets flustered too! His expression when I pointed a gun at him was hilarious. I secretly took a picture with the log to record it!"
"He thought combining meant that. He really did misunderstand! Haha! He's a pervert too!"
"He agreed to build me a witch's laboratory! I need to produce some results as soon as possible..."
After finishing, the killing intent faded from Yang Yi's eyes.
He arranged the diary to look as though it had never been opened, then carefully backed out.
Su Na was not injured. Her fever was just from insufficient rest, and she would probably recover after a day's sleep.
There were still a few hours until dark, so Yang Yi started fishing again.
"Buying fire-starting tools such as lighters at high prices! Also buying cold-weather clothing!"
As usual, he posted a request to buy fire-starting tools, and prepared to buy four down jackets while waiting for sellers to contact him.
Before long, he received a flood of private messages.
But just as he was about to buy four down jackets for 105 cloth, he unexpectedly received a different sort of private message.
"Want a Tinder Wool Sweater? Lighter than a down jacket and even warmer. Just 100 Conch Coins for the labor!"
[Name: Tinder Wool Sweater] [Type: treasure] [Quality: fine] [Description: a sweater knitted from tinder wool with excellent insulation. Wearing it feels like having a heat patch against your skin. Lightweight and easy to move in. But please note: its insulating effect is greatly reduced when wet. Avoid wind and snow!]
Yang Yi's eyes lit up. This was clearly better than a down jacket!
It was very thin, so he could wear it underneath his pirate outfit. That way, he would not have to worry about melting snow soaking the sweater.
But he would still have to avoid freezing rain and the like!
Yang Yi immediately sent the seller a private message, intending to buy this Tinder Wool Sweater.
"What do you mean by a labor fee?"
The other party soon replied.
"Exactly what it says!
This sweater requires a special material, tinder wool. I've run out, so you'll have to provide the materials yourself.
10 units of tinder wool can make one sweater. I can also make wool trousers if you need them.
Either way, I only charge 100 Conch Coins for labor. You supply the materials!"
The price was not high, but where was Yang Yi supposed to get tinder wool?
Just as he was puzzling over this, the other party sent another message.
"I'll give you coordinates. There's an island there with a plant called Tinder Wool Grass. You only need to gather ten plants to make a sweater."
"Then why don't you gather it yourself and sell the finished products?"
"Because I've sold them all! I only have two left now, and I need to keep them as spares!
Besides, I'm no longer in those waters.
If you want one, bring me the materials and I'll make it. If not, forget it!"
Yang Yi fell into thought.
He did want this Tinder Wool Sweater.
But asking him to fetch the materials himself was rather strange.
Perhaps sensing Yang Yi's suspicions, the seller sent another private message.
"Believe me or don't!
Apart from me, you're the third person to know these coordinates.
The previous transactions all went smoothly. Who knows how much Tinder Wool Grass is left on the island? If you want it, you'd better hurry!"
Yang Yi did not believe him at all, so he asked, "How much for those two sets you have?"
"Sorry, those two aren't for sale. I'm keeping them for myself!"
Yang Yi frowned and glanced at the coordinates he had sent. They were not far away. At full speed, he could get there in just two days.
"Then let's add each other as friends!" Yang Yi suggested.
"Sure!"
[Hu Wei, captain of the Large Sailing Ship, has sent you a friend request]
Yang Yi immediately accepted.
Names like "XX Ship" belonged to ordinary basic ships, though their owners could rename them.
"Nightmare Star? You have a special ship?"
"That's right!"
"Then just message me privately once you have the materials."
"Okay. I'm pretty far away, so it'll probably take five days. I'll contact you then!"
"Okay!"
Yang Yi ended the conversation.
He was certain this man was hiding something,
but the Tinder Wool Sweater was the best cold-weather clothing Yang Yi had seen so far, and he really wanted it.
If I'm getting something, I should get the best I can!
Yang Yi took out the crystal ball and activated the Nightmare Star's skill, Peering.
[Searching... Large Sailing Ship... Hu Wei...]
Three results appeared.
Yang Yi was dumbfounded.
It was understandable that ordinary ships could easily share a name.
But Yang Yi had not expected the players to share a name too, with three of them at that.
It seemed there were still quite a lot of players.
To distinguish them, the three results were numbered #1 through #3.
Yang Yi picked one at random, and an image appeared in the crystal ball.
It was a level-two ship, very far from that island, and did not seem to belong to the person Yang Yi was looking for.
After casually watching for a dozen or so minutes, he closed the image.
"I'll try someone else tomorrow!"
Yang Yi changed course toward that island.
He intended to head that way first. After all, Yang Yi had the Sea Chart, so the initiative was in his hands.
Even if there was an ambush, he could avoid it in advance.
