These two sections had little content. Even though the editor had enlarged the font, it still couldn't hide that fact.
Sea Storms recorded information and insights, including introductions to several fleets, publicly available coordinates for several islands, and speculation about conditions inside the Extreme Winter Sea.
As for whether the information was true, readers had to judge for themselves.
One thing was certain, though: islands with public coordinates weren't worth much. Either all their trees had been chopped down, or setting foot on them meant losing your life.
Yang Yi spotted a familiar name again: Zhou Dai.
She was recruiting teammates to take on a dangerous island.
So far, it had been confirmed that there was a very powerful Werewolf on the island.
She was recruiting teammates to tackle it together. Those who passed her test would receive the island's exact coordinates.
"A Werewolf..." Yang Yi rubbed his chin.
As he remembered them, Werewolves were terrifying creatures. Not only were they fast and keen-nosed, but their sharp claws and fangs could easily tear a human body apart.
Against a creature like that, the more teammates, the better. That way, when it came time to flee, you only had to outrun your teammates.
Yang Yi smiled and skipped straight past it.
He didn't think ordinary people could take on a Werewolf unless they had a heavy-caliber machine gun-and could shoot accurately.
Reading on, he found another valuable account, this one from the captain of the Fisherman, whose name was listed as anonymous.
But Yang Yi had him on his friends list and knew his full name was He Qi, a veteran fishing fanatic.
[On night fishing]
[First, let me be clear: I don't recommend that any player try night fishing. I'm writing this report to warn everyone!]
[It's very easy to catch bizarre creatures at night. I've caught a Merman and a Drowned Dead, and the latter nearly killed me!]
[The fish you catch have a thirty percent chance of being Abyssal Fish, such as sardines with four legs, eels with human lips, and even octopuses shaped like human heads. For the sake of your sanity, I won't include pictures. In short, they're disgusting!
Catching these strange fish costs sanity, and eating them costs sanity too. I don't think they're worth anything!]
[If you still want to try night fishing after reading all this, I suggest you prepare thoroughly first! Risks and opportunities go hand in hand. I caught a Treasured fishing rod, but once I came to my senses, I still felt a wave of lingering fear!
At the time... maybe I'd fished myself into madness...
Anyway, night fishing is dangerous. Don't try it lightly. I don't think I'll be trying it again for a long time.]
"He Qi really lives up to his reputation as a fishing fanatic. He casually did something I wouldn't dare do!" Yang Yi remarked.
But Yang Yi recognized every one of those Abyssal Fish he had caught. They were all familiar faces!
By now, Yang Yi could even eat them without losing sanity, except for fish with special effects.
"Unless I have absolutely no choice, I'd better not try night fishing," Yang Yi decided.
The Nightmare Star had the Angler's Curse. If he went night fishing on top of that, he might catch a Giant Bobbit Worm and suddenly find himself engulfed by water!
Yang Yi turned to the monster intelligence section.
It focused on several monsters commonly encountered at sea, including their weaknesses. Yang Yi had seen many of them.
Drowned Dead: fat-bodied and clumsy, but capable of powerful self-destruction.
Sirens: a major threat to men. Once you hear their song, it's best to block your ears within two seconds, or you will definitely be charmed. They generally prefer hunting at night, so you can wear earplugs while sleeping.
"But if you wear earplugs and a Drowned Dead shows up, wouldn't you just drop dead..." Yang Yi shook his head, unconvinced.
Skeleton Monsters: average in every respect. Crushing the skull kills them. Blunt weapons recommended.
Mermen: small in size, rarely alone, and often appear in groups.
Giant Bobbit Worms: enormous and blind, with sharp jaw blades on their heads. Can be killed with cannon fire. (Thanks to the captain of the Iron Will for providing this information.)
There were certainly more monsters than these. Information about particularly powerful monsters was hard to preserve because so few people survived them.
After finishing, Yang Yi realized there was no information on Demon Hammerhead Sharks, so he contacted the Great Newspaper.
"I have some monster information to provide. How much do you usually pay?"
Newspaper: "At least 200 Conch Coins. The more detailed it is, the more we pay, with no upper limit! You must provide relevant loot or information on the corpse as proof."
That was no problem. There were still Demon Hammerhead Shark organs in the laboratory.
"Demon Hammerhead Sharks can be caught by fishing. They live in groups and have two huge eyes that look like red lanterns underwater. They have two hind legs with powerful jumping ability. Their eyes are their weak point, but they can't climb..."
Yang Yi sent the newspaper his information on the Devil Sharks. About half an hour later, he received a payment of 800 Conch Coins.
Other people must have encountered these sharks too, but probably not many had lived to tell the tale.
The next day, before dawn.
Yang Yi suddenly sat up, his body unbearably painful and itchy, as though ten thousand ants were gnawing at him.
He knew what was happening to him and immediately ran to the helm, steering the Nightmare Star toward the island at full speed.
Only after traveling more than ten nautical miles did the bone-deep pain slowly ease.
The commotion from the ship's abrupt departure woke Su Na too. She came out of her room and saw Yang Yi gripping the helm, unsteady on his feet, veins bulging beneath his skin and eyes blood-red.
"What happened?" Su Na asked.
"I..." Yang Yi had barely opened his mouth when he spat out a great mouthful of blood, with spiders crawling in it.
Then he collapsed into the pool of blood and passed out.
Yang Yi had a nightmare in which he lay on a metal table.
Wearing one of those beaked masks from the medieval Black Death, Su Na approached with a scalpel.
"You... what are you doing!" Terrified, Yang Yi tried to resist, but he couldn't move at all, as though he had sleep paralysis.
"You're sick. I'm treating you!" Su Na said flatly.
She sliced open Yang Yi's skin with the scalpel, cut through blood vessels and muscle, searched for the spiders inside, then plucked them out with forceps. Blood drenched the scene.
"There are still plenty inside you. I'll take them all out, one by one!"
As she spoke, Su Na continued cutting...
"No... no! You're going to kill me!" Yang Yi shouted in terror.
Because Su Na's red eyes were looking increasingly dangerous.
With a jolt, Yang Yi woke from the nightmare to find a scalpel poised right in front of his eye. He hurriedly pushed it away.
"You're awake?" Just like in his dream, Su Na wore a beaked mask and goggles as she "operated" on Yang Yi.
"What are you doing!"
Freshly awake and shaken by his nightmare, Yang Yi was emotionally unstable. He curled up, showing signs of aggression.
"Calm down. I'm saving you!"
Su Na spoke flatly and pointed to the graduated cylinder on the metal table. A heap of dead little spiders nearly filled it, still stained with blood.
"If these foreign bodies aren't removed, they'll cause serious trouble!" Su Na continued.
Once Yang Yi understood the situation, he gradually calmed down.
He checked his status. His vitality was below 50, and his sanity was down to just 37.
His left eyelid seemed to have been cut open. Blood flowed into his eye, staining most of his vision red.
He touched it, and two little spiders fell out of his eyelid...
"Sorry, I just had a nightmare," Yang Yi hastily apologized, fully awake now.
"As long as you're awake!" Su Na said with a smile, unbothered.
But her left hand was hidden behind her back, gripping the Witch's Dagger tightly, all five fingers trembling slightly with excitement.
