Background / History

Uzumaki Heritage and Life in Konoha

Kushina grew up as an Uzumaki orphan and became a jinchūriki while still young. Her association with the Nine-Tails brought scorn and isolation, and she later described Konoha’s leadership as treating her chiefly as a weapon of war. She had once dreamed of becoming Hokage herself 70 104 378.

Mito Uzumaki left Kushina both an inheritance and a collection of Uzumaki sealing knowledge. After Uzushiogakure’s destruction, Mito recorded the techniques she remembered to preserve them. When Konoha demanded that Kushina surrender this knowledge, she handed over only part of it and retained the core techniques 62 105.

As Minato’s wife, Kushina also cared for his students. She made pastries for Rin and gave particular attention to the orphaned Obito, providing extra meals, mending his clothes, and cooking special dishes for him 123 376.

Naruto’s Birth and the Nine-Tails’ Catastrophe
