| Basha template: 1% → 100% | 155 | Spends ninety-nine Demon Coins, obtaining complete water authority at Basha’s former peak and establishing contact with her in Hell. |
| Kan Trigram perfected | 165 180 | His completed trigram raises the linked demon’s rank and power ceiling. He Xiangu later confirms that he now masters Kan rather than being governed by it. |
| Kan–Dui Trigram Fusion initiated | 205 | Begins fusion on Penglai Immortal Island in his moon form; the system estimates three months. |
| Kan–Dui Trigram Fusion completed | 206 | Water and moon become a unified authority. He Xiangu judges herself outmatched even with the Heavenly Dao’s blessing. |
| Moon of origin retrieved | 207 | Draws the moon into a small manifestation of power that merges with his body. |
| Eight demon templates acquired | 235 | Tso Lan and Basha are listed as complete; Shendu, Tchang Zu, Hsi Wu, Dai Gui, Xiao Fung, and Po Kong are at 100%. The system distinguishes peak template power from complete mastery of authority. |
Background / History
Eternal Hell and the Divided Soul
Tso Lan was imprisoned in Eternal Hell with the other Demon Sorcerers. Although time did not pass there normally, imprisonment gradually eroded their authority and wisdom. Recognizing that the seal would not dissolve on its own, he secretly attempted reincarnation rather than wait indefinitely for rescue 153.
He split his soul and sent one half into the River of Reincarnation. A dimensional disturbance diverted it into another reality, where it was born into an ordinary family as Wangchuan. Tso Lan’s remaining half did not know what had happened to its counterpart 153.
His six imprisoned siblings later pooled their power to help him escape, choosing him as the most dependable among them and granting him shares of their authorities. Spatial abnormalities interrupted the attempt. Tso Lan disappeared, lost consciousness, and eventually awakened as the system’s Moon Demon template 149 153.
Life as Wangchuan
Wangchuan initially believed that he was a human transmigrator receiving another being’s powers. The template supplied Tso Lan’s knowledge, combat instincts, and ancient memories, but using the demon body also changed his speech and decision-making. The system described this as adaptation to a higher-order template rather than possession 1 66.
On the moon, Wangchuan consciously accepted that he was Tso Lan. The full explanation emerged only after his template reached 100%: the supposed host and template were halves of the same original soul. Their returning memories temporarily disrupted gravity across Sabaody and the surrounding sea before he regained control 78 152 153.
Return and Trigram Fusion
After recovering his identity, Tso Lan delayed returning to his original world until he felt capable of freeing the other demons. He first contacted Basha through their shared water authority, then brought her out of Hell through a Soul Passage and a newly created body 155 165.
Their departures left the Kan and Dui positions vacant, destabilizing the original world’s balance. Tso Lan returned because his laws, trigram position, and soul’s anchor remained bound to that world—not out of concern for its survival. He intended to unite Kan and Dui through Law Reshaping 179 182.
He Xiangu accepted the plan because a neutral master of both positions could become a new node of balance. Tso Lan subsequently cooperated with Pops’s group while observing the awakened gods in San Francisco, then completed Trigram Fusion on Penglai Immortal Island 182 186 205 206.
Later Activities
After fusion, Tso Lan retrieved his original world’s moon and pulled Drago out of Hell. He later arranged for Stan Edgar to teach Drago how to manage a world, proposing that summoned evil dragons provide force while Vought supplied institutional influence. He left Drago in charge and warned him to kill Edgar immediately if betrayed 207 210 214.
By the time all eight demon templates had been acquired, Wangchuan began experiencing self-objectification: he felt as though his body, powers, and thoughts were tools he operated from outside himself. The system explicitly warned him about this condition 235.
Appearance
Four-Armed Demon Form
- Skin and face: Pale blue skin, blood-red eyes, pointed ears, fangs, and a long tongue 49 133.
- Hair: Purple-black hair longer than his body 133.
- Arms: Two massive shoulder arms and two shorter arms beneath the armpits 60 133.
- Clothing: Red-and-purple Hanfu robes during the Marine battlefield confrontation 133.
- Presence: Purple demonic vapor and a deep, echoing voice 49 133.
Reshaped Human-Like Form
- Long silver-gray hair, dark robes, Purple Lunar Phase Eyes, and a rotating Moon Wheel beneath his feet 179 186 197.
- After Trigram Fusion, his hair becomes silver-white and a silver-blue layer appears within his pupils 206.
- His transformed appearance differs so sharply from his former demon body that Jade initially struggles to recognize him 186.
Moon Form
- A dark spherical body bearing nine silvery-white eyes, each with a lunar-phase pupil 205.
- Three rings of light revolve around the sphere 205.
- This is explicitly one of several forms of his true demon body, not his sole true appearance 205.
Personality
Tso Lan is composed, ancient in manner, and frequently condescending toward opponents. In demon form, he speaks as an elder and treats powerful enemies as insignificant beside his long existence. Early template adaptation makes Wangchuan colder, more direct, and quicker in his thinking 60 66 128.
His siblings consider him dependable and steady. He is also guarded: Basha observes that he habitually leaves explanations unfinished, while He Xiangu recognizes that obvious attempts to steer him are likely to provoke resistance 149 165 182.
He does not identify with either Good Chi or Evil Chi after mastering Kan. His priorities are personal rather than moral: he dismisses the world’s collapse but fiercely defends what he regards as his own, including the trigram positions 179 180 183.
Wangchuan’s human experiences remain visible in his humor and attachments. He teases Jade, complains about salty fries, pays for breakfast, and smiles while speaking with Utahime. Sol notices that he seems more human than the demons he knows 186 203.
Abilities & Skills
Gravity and Spatial Manipulation
His innate cursed technique is Gravity Mastery. Tso Lan’s authority encompasses attraction and repulsion; Pops identifies spatial manipulation as its underlying core, with attraction being one expression of spatial distortion 1 31 160.
- Flight and suspension: Hovers freely and lifts other bodies without physical contact 13 60.
- Redirection: Curves incoming debris, cursed energy, and other attacks away from himself 4 13.
- Destructive concentration: Eliminates three Special Grade Cursed Spirits with a gravity-based attack that Todo describes as a black hole 31.
- Large-area influence: Uncontrolled power disrupts gravity across Sabaody and the surrounding sea 153.
- Spatial fissures: Extreme gravitational distortion produces purple, lightning-like rifts capable of cutting steel 152.
Moon Force Field
Tso Lan surrounds himself with an invisible gravitational defense 4 125.
- Redirects attacks rather than merely absorbing their impact 4 13.
- Can expand into a complete spherical field; against Akainu, its surface stops ten meters from his body 133.
- Stops magma, heat, and destructive force without allowing the air around him to warm 134.
- Disappears when Wangchuan switches from Tso Lan to the Tchang Zu template during his fight with Kuzan 125.
Immortality and Regeneration
The system lists conceptual immortality, molecular regeneration, limitless magic power, and no weaknesses among his initial traits 1.
- Treats Suishi’s mortal-world time power as ineffective against him and stops the curse’s scythe with one finger 227.
- Distinguishes ordinary time from Eternal Hell’s conditions, which can affect the demons 227.
- Immortality does not prevent imprisonment or the gradual erosion of authority and wisdom in Hell 153.
Soul Manipulation and Resurrection
Tso Lan’s knowledge includes multiple forms of resurrection magic and techniques for reshaping souls and bodies 28 49 60.
- Body restoration: Returns a soul to a damaged body and repairs the vessel 28.
- Vessel reconstruction: Creates a replacement when the original body has been annihilated 28.
- Soul rewriting: Restores Kokichi Muta’s body while preserving his Heavenly Restriction and abilities 60.
- Soul Passage: Uses shared authority to connect with Basha and summon her from Eternal Hell into a new body 155 165.
- Limits: The two completed Resurrection Cursed Techniques are intricate, consume enormous energy, and have demanding conditions 28.
Magical Crafting and Body Creation
Inherited spell knowledge allows Wangchuan to adapt Tso Lan’s magic into cursed techniques and cursed tools 10.
- Solidifies magic within objects to create Special Grade Cursed Tools 10.
- Extracts Choso’s soul blueprint and uses Blood Manipulation as the basis for a Xirang body 49.
- Gives that body continual regeneration, renewable blood, and sustained technique output; instantaneous erasure remains a vulnerability 49.
- Operates all four arms independently during precise magical construction 49.
Trigram Authority
Tso Lan originally incarnates the Kan Moon position. After perfecting it, he becomes its master and reshapes his origin, leaving He Xiangu unable to detect either Good Chi or Evil Chi in him 162 179 180.
- Completing a trigram raises the rank and power ceiling of its linked demon 165.
- Kan–Dui resonance requires both positions to be perfected under one being’s complete authority 182.
- Fusion unites water and moon into a single circulating power governed by tides, waxing, and waning 206.
- After fusion, He Xiangu believes that only the Heavenly Dao itself could oppose him within their world 206.
Cross-World Power Adaptation
The system converts his power to the destination world’s energy rules, while true demon form permits direct use of demonic energy 1.
- Defaults to Original Magic Power in worlds without supernatural energy systems 1.
- Acquires additional authorities through the other Demon Sorcerer templates 108 235.
- During the Kuzan battle, only one of his five independent templates can be active at a time 125.
- Reaching 100% grants a demon’s peak power but is distinct from complete authority mastery; the later upgrade costs two hundred Demon Coins per remaining template 235.
Domain
- Guanghan Collapsing Moon Realm — Listed on his initial system panel; its operation is not detailed in the supplied passages 1.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Moon Wheel — A rotating lunar manifestation beneath his feet in his reshaped form 165 179.
- Retrieved moon — A small manifestation of his original world’s moon that merges into his body. He later proposes using moons in two worlds as anchors for summoning evil dragons 207 210.
- Mirror of the Imaginary — A cursed tool capable of imprisoning Cursed Spirits. Subduing the target first reduces energy expenditure; Wangchuan has not verified whether it can hold humans 19.
- Eternal Night Raven Coffin — A custom trench coat made for Mei Mei. It substitutes for fatal damage and transfers its wearer to one marked refuge; its raven mist enhances ravens, disrupts enemy perception, and increases movement speed 40.
Relationships
- Basha — Demon sister and the first sibling he frees from Eternal Hell. Their shared water authority enables contact, and her Dui position becomes part of his Trigram Fusion 155 165 182.
- Shendu — Demon brother. Initially knows nothing of Tso Lan’s disappearance and later witnesses his renewed contact with Hell 149 173.
- Tchang Zu, Xiao Fung, Dai Gui, Po Kong, and Hsi Wu — Demon siblings who helped his escape attempt and continue waiting for him to release them 149 173 207.
- Drago / Xiao Long — Shendu’s son, who addresses him as Uncle Tso Lan. Tso Lan frees him, takes him to another world, and arranges instruction in ruling it 207 210 214.
- He Xiangu — Former sealer and later negotiating partner. Her lotus recalls his imprisonment, but she supports his Trigram Fusion as a possible solution to the world’s imbalance 179 182 206.
- Pops — Former opponent turned collaborator. Creates a spell anchoring Tso Lan’s influence to their world so that his departure will not again destabilize its balance 186 205.
- Jade — Initially frightened by his identity, then increasingly comfortable accompanying and teasing him. He buys her breakfast and allows her to remain with him during the gods’ awakening 186 195 203.
- Satoru Gojo — Commissioning sorcerer and associate. Seeks his assistance with dangerous curses and asks him to investigate Riko Amanai’s soul 1 60.
- Utahime Iori — A close attachment who contacts him through demonic energy he left within her. He promises to return after finishing his cross-world business 203.
- Kokichi Muta — Receives a restored body through Tso Lan’s soul rewriting and thanks him as Teacher Wangchuan 60.
- Mei Mei — Client and associate for whom he crafts the Eternal Night Raven Coffin 10 40.

Trivia
- Sengoku interprets Tso Lan’s four-armed demon body as a Mythical Zoan form; this is Sengoku’s identification, not a system classification 133.
- The explicit trigram mapping places Tso Lan at Kan Moon and Basha at Dui Water 160 162.
- Tso Lan calls Jormungandr a suitable pet; after retrieving Drago, a roar reminds him that he has forgotten his pet 197 207.
