Arc 7Megumi’s Path to Jujutsu High

Li Shunchen rescued Megumi from the Zenin Clan, continued preparing for Kenjaku’s hidden plans, and guided the children through years of change. After Tsumiki fell into an unexplained coma, Megumi chose to become a sorcerer, passed Yaga’s test, and entered Jujutsu High determined to find a way to wake her.

  • Megumi escaped the Zenin Clan with Shunchen’s preparations, and Shunchen warned Naobito against forcing Megumi to join the clan before taking the boy home.
  • Shunchen told Mei Mei he planned to seize the Zenin Clan’s power and transform Jujutsu Society, then began investigating Kenjaku’s connections to Tengen and the Kamo Clan.
  • Gojo tested Shunchen with Unlimited Void, but Shunchen countered with Simple Domain and struck him before ending their spar rather than fighting to kill.
  • Shunchen graduated with Gojo, Geto, and Shoko, then chose to teach at Jujutsu High while continuing to train students and gather intelligence.
  • Shunchen staged Rika Orimoto’s apparent death to draw out and destroy the curse born from Yuta Okkotsu’s power, then sealed Yuta’s cursed energy so he could live an ordinary life.
  • Tsumiki fell into an unexplained coma after visiting an abandoned site, and Shunchen’s investigation with Gojo and Shoko failed to uncover a cure.
  • Megumi enrolled at Jujutsu High to find a way to awaken Tsumiki, and Qu Fusion tore apart Yaga’s cursed corpse during his entrance test.
  • Yaga passed Megumi, and Shunchen judged that the boy could likely defeat conventional Grade 1 opponents while still needing to learn more than combat.
Chapters 151–175 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 151Interlude: Megumi Fushiguro's adventure (5)

Megumi Fushiguro escaped the Zenin estate on Divine Dog: Totality while Ogi Zenin broke Naobito’s order and tried to kill him. Totality defeated and gravely wounded Ogi, then flew Megumi away from the clan.

  • Ogi Zenin learned Megumi had awakened the Ten Shadows Technique and killed the Kukuru Unit member who reported it, deciding to eliminate the child.
  • Divine Dog: Totality carried Megumi through the estate as the Zenin pursuers struggled to catch them, until Jinichi Zenin and Ogi blocked their route.
  • Jinichi attacked to stop Totality, while Ogi unleashed a huge flaming sword strike meant to kill both Megumi and the shikigami.
  • Totality and Megumi slipped into the shadows to evade Ogi’s strike, then counterattacked and used the Soul Liberation Blade to break Ogi’s sword and slash his chest.
  • Totality gained wings formed from Nue’s energy and flew Megumi out of the Zenin estate as Jinichi and the guards watched.

Ch. 152Picking up the kid

After Tsumiki reported Megumi missing, Shunchen traced him to the Zenin Clan and went with Mei Mei to retrieve him. Shunchen caught the exhausted Megumi, then confronted the pursuing Naobito Zenin.

  • Tsumiki called Shunchen in a panic after Megumi failed to come home, and Shunchen reassured her before setting out to find him.
  • Shunchen hired Mei Mei to drive him toward the Zenin Clan, suspecting that they had forcibly taken Megumi.
  • Using Mei Mei's Black Bird Manipulation, Shunchen spotted Megumi riding the faltering Qu Fusion after a clash with the Zenin Clan.
  • Shunchen summoned Nue to catch Megumi as Qu Fusion dissolved, then told Mei Mei to stay with the unconscious boy.
  • Naobito Zenin raced toward them using Projection Sorcery, but Shunchen stopped him with Nagi Daytime Prohibition.

Ch. 153You shouldn't be able to do it either

Naobito Zenin confronted Megumi Fushiguro’s teacher, suspecting him of copying the Ten Shadows Technique and blocking Projection Sorcery. When Naobito tried to take Megumi by force, the teacher trapped him with Rabbit Escape and a shadow mire, then struck him with a powerful kick.

  • Naobito realized the young man had blocked his Projection Sorcery and suspected he was the Jujutsu High student who could copy cursed techniques.
  • The young man identified himself as Megumi Fushiguro’s teacher, and Naobito concluded that he had trained Megumi in the Ten Shadows Technique.
  • Naobito declared he would take Megumi because of his Zenin blood, but the teacher warned that he would not succeed.
  • Naobito activated Projection Sorcery and tried to rush past the teacher toward the car.
  • The teacher summoned Rabbit Escape to obscure Naobito’s vision while spreading a shadow mire beneath him.
  • Naobito stepped into the shadow mire and froze from Projection Sorcery’s backlash, allowing the teacher to kick him hard and send him skidding across the asphalt.

Ch. 154The fatally alluring black rose

After effortlessly defeating Naobito Zenin, the teacher warned him that Megumi Fushiguro’s power was dangerous without strict control and forbade the Zenin Clan from using force to claim him. The Maybach drove away with the exhausted Megumi, while Naobito and the clan were left more determined to secure the boy’s potential.

  • The teacher used Ten Shadows Technique tactics to knock Naobito Zenin down, and Naobito realized he had been spared.
  • Naobito asked whether Toji had sent the teacher, who explained that Toji had asked him to look after the children.
  • The teacher warned Naobito that Megumi could have killed the Zenin Clan fighters if he had not learned to control his power.
  • Naobito recognized the Ten Shadows Technique’s legendary strength and the danger of trying to take Megumi by force.
  • The teacher said he would not decide Megumi’s future but warned that coercion would be meaningless, then left with Megumi in the Maybach.

Ch. 155Would you turn me down?

On the drive home, Megumi recounted his escape from the Zenin Clan, revealing how thoroughly Shunchen had prepared him and how Panda had stood by as backup. Shunchen told Mei Mei he planned to seize the Zenin Clan for revenge and ultimately reshape Jujutsu Society, then invited her to join him.

  • Mei Mei drove Shunchen and the exhausted Megumi home while Megumi recounted how he escaped the Zenin Clan using Shunchen's preparations.
  • Megumi's account revealed that Shunchen had predicted the ambush and trained him for the Zenin Clan's tactics, alarming Mei Mei.
  • Megumi pulled Panda from his shadow, and Panda explained that he had sensed the approaching sorcerers but had stayed hidden because no one posed a sufficient threat.
  • Mei Mei stopped the car and demanded to know what Shunchen was planning.
  • Shunchen said he intended to take over the Zenin Clan for revenge, gain power to transform Jujutsu Society, and asked Mei Mei to join him.

Ch. 156Was I Being Selfish?

After reuniting Megumi Fushiguro with Tsumiki, his teacher questioned the morality of using him to reshape jujutsu society while the Zenin Clan concealed his attack and reconsidered its succession. The teacher entered a fourth year at Tokyo Jujutsu High with the others alive and thriving, then received a new weapon-related ability.

  • Tsumiki embraced Megumi Fushiguro after his return, while his teacher left the siblings together.
  • Megumi Fushiguro's teacher admitted to Mei Mei that using him as a pawn felt selfish and rejected her argument that his gains compensated for that exploitation.
  • The Zenin Clan concealed Megumi Fushiguro's attack by claiming that Naobito Zenin had exorcised an invading special grade cursed spirit.
  • Naobito Zenin forbade unauthorized contact with Megumi Fushiguro and increasingly favored his potential over Naoya's claim to succession.
  • The teacher entered a fourth year at Tokyo Jujutsu High, where earlier interventions had kept companions alive, prevented Suguru Geto's defection, and reduced mission casualties.
  • The teacher received A Knight Does Not Die Empty-Handed [SR], which increased bodily strength and weapon performance by fifteen percent when wielding a melee weapon or an object considered a weapon.

Ch. 157A long game

The narrator improved their combat capabilities and sent Mei Mei to investigate old records tied to Tengen, the Star Plasma Vessel Incident, and the Kamo Clan while keeping her ignorant of dangerous secrets. As the narrator prepared for a covert struggle against the stitched-head mastermind, Satoru Gojo challenged them by unveiling his Domain Expansion.

  • The narrator recognized that their [SR]-rank passive skill greatly enhanced both their strength and their weapon, making its combat benefits especially powerful when wielding a cursed tool.
  • The narrator asked Mei Mei to search historical records about Tengen, the Star Plasma Vessel Incident’s aftermath, and the Kamo Clan, while withholding information that could put her in danger.
  • The narrator reasoned that the Kamo Clan and the failure of Tengen’s assimilation might be tied to a larger conspiracy, and Mei Mei accepted the investigation and began working undercover.
  • The narrator resolved to uncover the identity and plans of the stitched-head figure while hiding and waiting for an opportunity to disrupt the conspiracy.
  • Satoru Gojo lured the narrator to Jujutsu High’s athletic field and suddenly attacked, then formed a domain hand sign and declared, “Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void.”

Ch. 158Was This Even Fucking Human?

Shunchen endured Satoru Gojo’s newly mastered Unlimited Void and countered with a rapid chain of copied techniques, cutting Gojo and putting Asagirimaru to his throat. The chapter ended with Gojo disarmed and Shunchen calmly admonishing him.

  • Satoru Gojo trapped Shunchen in Unlimited Void, expecting its information overload to leave him helpless.
  • Shunchen used Phantom Parade to copy the Ten Shadows Technique, retrieved Asagirimaru from his shadow, and switched his copied technique to Limitless.
  • Shunchen reversed Limitless with Nagi Daytime Prohibition, then expanded a Simple Domain to block Unlimited Void and regain control.
  • Shunchen used an enhanced sword-draw to cut Satoru Gojo’s waist before Gojo could react.
  • Shunchen placed Asagirimaru against Satoru Gojo’s neck and told him not to be naive in a fight.

Ch. 159Are you kidding me?

During a sparring match inside Unlimited Void, the narrator countered Satoru Gojo with Simple Domain and a sword strike, then surrendered rather than risk a prolonged battle. Gojo dispelled his domain but refused to accept the result, demanding that the narrator fight him seriously.

  • Satoru Gojo grabbed the narrator and demanded to know how they could still move after Unlimited Void, and the narrator explained that Simple Domain had blocked its effects long enough to counterattack.
  • Satoru Gojo withdrew and formed a high-output Blue to break the narrator’s Simple Domain by force.
  • The narrator judged that fighting Gojo’s domain and near-limitless cursed energy was futile, dismissed Simple Domain, sheathed Asagirimaru, and surrendered.
  • Satoru Gojo froze in disbelief, then dispelled Unlimited Void and returned the training field to view.
  • Satoru Gojo seized the narrator’s collar and accused them of holding back, insisting they draw their sword and fight without restraint.

Ch. 160Do you really hope to see the day

After their sparring match, the narrator explained that conceding to Satoru Gojo was the rational choice under the rules and battlefield conditions, though Satoru remained frustrated by winning through the narrator’s restraint and his own mistake. The narrator then pretended that the explanation was a ploy to exploit Satoru’s cursed technique burnout, before revealing it was a joke and asking whether Satoru truly wanted them to fight to the death.

  • Satoru Gojo seized the narrator’s collar and demanded an explanation for the concession, then released them as they calmly told him to stop throwing a tantrum.
  • The narrator explained that their binding vow against inflicting a fatal wound and Satoru’s advantage in a domain battle made continuing the sparring match pointless.
  • Satoru Gojo reviewed the exchange and realized that his own close-range mistake had given the narrator their only opening, but he remained dissatisfied with the compromised victory.
  • The narrator suggested that their surrender and explanation had been a deception intended to make Satoru Gojo deactivate his domain while his Limitless was unavailable from technique burnout.
  • The narrator admitted the threat was a joke and asked Satoru Gojo whether he truly hoped to see them fight each other at full strength to kill.

Ch. 161Utterly different

Shunchen comforted a tearful Atsuya Kusakabe after a cursed corpse saved Kusakabe’s nephew, then drew a vision-enhancing talent card. The chapter ended with Shunchen and his friends graduating from Jujutsu High together, with no one lost.

  • Satoru Gojo continued challenging Shunchen, but accepted that Shunchen would not fight him seriously.
  • Masamichi Yaga told Shunchen that Atsuya Kusakabe was waiting urgently in the reception room.
  • Kusakabe thanked Shunchen because a cursed corpse made by Yaga had shielded his nephew Xiaowu in a highway pileup, leaving the child unharmed.
  • Shunchen stopped Kusakabe from kneeling and framed the gift as kindness returned, while Kusakabe promised to help him whenever asked.
  • Shunchen drew and equipped the Wide-Angle Vision [R] talent card, which brought peripheral movement into sharp focus.
  • Shunchen graduated from Jujutsu High alongside Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri, celebrating a spring in which none of them had been lost.

Ch. 162Are you sure you're not going there to be a kid?

After graduation, Shunchen chose to stay at Jujutsu High as a teacher, partly to train future sorcerers and partly to operate discreetly while pursuing his own plans. Inspired by Shunchen, Satoru Gojo also decided to become a teacher, despite Suguru Geto doubting he could act like a responsible adult.

  • Shoko Ieiri said she planned to remain at Jujutsu High and work in the infirmary, while Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto admitted they had not settled on their futures.
  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto asked Shunchen about his plans, and Shunchen said he wanted to stay at Jujutsu High and become a teacher.
  • Masamichi Yaga enthusiastically accepted Shunchen's decision, while Shunchen privately intended to use the position to train students, gather intelligence, and stay out of the higher-ups' reach.
  • Satoru Gojo convinced himself that Shunchen wanted to become stronger so he could challenge him again, then announced that he would stay at Jujutsu High and become a teacher too.
  • Suguru Geto mocked Gojo's decision and questioned whether he could teach responsibly, prompting Gojo to defend his strength and Geto to tell him to stop calling himself a badass.

Ch. 163An unfathomable motive

The narrator considered Kenjaku’s possible connection to the Star Plasma Vessel Incident and inferred that his Death Painting experiments might have been an abandoned attempt at evolution before he turned his attention to Tengen. The narrator remained unable to identify Kenjaku’s ultimate motive, but resolved to find it and intercept him at the end of his plan.

  • The narrator recalled Mei Mei revealing that Kenjaku had created the Death Painting Wombs and that the nine Cursed Objects were sealed beneath Jujutsu High.
  • The narrator considered whether Kenjaku’s experiments had been driven by the Kamo Clan’s desire for greater strength, but questioned that theory because the evidence about Blood Manipulation was incomplete.
  • The narrator hypothesized that the Death Painting Wombs were a flawed attempt at artificial evolution and that Kenjaku had instead placed his hopes on Master Tengen’s evolution.
  • The narrator struggled to explain what Kenjaku would gain from Tengen’s unique evolution and concluded that his motive was the missing piece.
  • The narrator recalled Mei Mei’s warning that old records of Six Eyes and Star Plasma Vessel deaths were difficult to obtain, but decided those details mattered less than Kenjaku’s ultimate goal.
  • The narrator resolved to uncover Kenjaku’s motive so they could connect the scattered clues and stop him at the end of his path.

Ch. 164This time, they did not run away

Shunchen spent years refining Star Rage for close combat and trained Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara to survive as jujutsu sorcerers. At their graduation in 2010, Nanami and Haibara chose to keep fighting rather than leave Jujutsu Society, and thanked Shunchen for helping them live through their dangerous missions.

  • Shunchen concluded Star Rage could only add virtual mass to his own body, so he developed a close-combat combination with Extreme Overload Control and Projection Sorcery while carefully testing his body's limits.
  • Shunchen received the Flexible Bone Joints card in the 2010 draw and recognized its value for escaping holds and striking from unexpected angles.
  • At graduation, Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara chose to remain jujutsu sorcerers, confident in the skills and strength they had gained under Shunchen's instruction.
  • Nanami and Haibara bowed deeply to Shunchen and thanked him for training them to survive their dangerous missions.
  • Masamichi Yaga watched the farewell and felt grateful that Shunchen had become an exceptional mentor in combat and survival.

Ch. 165Anchoring, a flawed assembly

In 2011, the protagonist traveled to Sendai with Mei Mei to prevent Yuta Okkotsu from creating a Special Grade Vengeful Cursed Spirit. By replacing Rika Orimoto with a Cursed Corpse and anchoring the malformed curse that resulted, the protagonist destroyed it, completing the first step of a plan to eliminate the danger early.

  • The protagonist received the Deep Anoxia Talent Card and equipped it for emergencies.
  • The protagonist hired Mei Mei to take him to Sendai, where he prepared a life-size Cursed Corpse modeled on Rika Orimoto and arranged to conceal the operation.
  • Mei Mei cast a Curtain as the protagonist used his Image-Projection Cursed Technique to replace the real Rika with the Cursed Corpse.
  • Mei Mei drove over the Cursed Corpse, making Yuta Okkotsu believe Rika had been killed and causing his dormant Cursed Energy to surge.
  • The Cursed Corpse anchored Yuta's mismatched curse, and the protagonist used Puppet Manipulation to control the malformed creature.
  • The protagonist destroyed the cursed existence with the Soul Liberation Blade and Inverted Spear of Heaven before it could become a Special Grade Vengeful Cursed Spirit.

Ch. 166Establishing a Binding Vow

You destroyed the false Rika and persuaded Yuta Okkotsu to seal his uncontrolled power through a Binding Vow in exchange for finding the real Rika. With Rika safe and reunited with Yuta, you asked Mei Mei to arrange protection for her and explained that a Special Grade Vengeful Cursed Spirit would have emerged if you had not intervened.

  • You destroyed the false Rika, concealed the remains and blood, and told Yuta Okkotsu that the creature was a shell for a monster born from his uncontrolled power.
  • You warned Yuta that his grief could turn Rika’s death into a curse, then offered to help find her if he agreed not to use his power without your permission.
  • Yuta accepted the Binding Vow, which sealed his Cursed Energy, and you told him to treat the night as a nightmare.
  • Rika Orimoto appeared unharmed with Mei Mei, and Yuta ran to embrace her while you let him go.
  • You gave Mei Mei a fragment of the false Rika’s remains and told her that a Special Grade Vengeful Cursed Spirit would have been born if you had not stopped it.
  • Mei Mei questioned why you had sealed Yuta’s power instead of recruiting him, and you said you wanted him to live an ordinary life and asked her to arrange things for Rika.

Ch. 167Consciousness

The protagonist continued investigating the threat to Suguru Geto while strengthening their abilities and waiting for the hidden body-switching enemy to reveal himself. In 2012, a new talent arrived, and attempts to develop Domain Expansion produced mysterious murmurs that yielded the word “Consciousness.”

  • The protagonist reasoned that the stitched figure might target Suguru Geto for his Cursed Spirit Manipulation and had already warned Suguru Geto to watch for suspicious people.
  • The protagonist concluded that too little information was available and chose to stay cautious while continuing to train and teach.
  • In 2012, the system awarded the protagonist the Spontaneous Hemostasis [N] talent card, which could stop major arterial bleeding without Cursed Energy.
  • The protagonist continued struggling to form a Domain Expansion and heard indistinct murmurs while reaching toward an invisible barrier.
  • The protagonist caught and remembered one word from the murmurs: “Consciousness.”

Ch. 168Depravity

Li Shunchen abandoned attempts to force progress on Domain Expansion and continued teaching and training through several peaceful years, gaining new talent cards. In 2014, Yuki Tsukumo confronted him over her belief that he had killed Toji Fushiguro and accused him of abandoning their supposed shared plan to overturn Jujutsu Society; Li rejected her expectations and called himself content with the status quo.

  • Li Shunchen concluded that neither copying other techniques nor further blind practice offered an easy route to mastering Domain Expansion, so he continued refining his abilities while teaching at Jujutsu High.
  • The peaceful years passed, and Kiyotaka Ijichi matured into a capable Assistant Supervisor as Li received Bone Conduction Perception in 2013 and Pain Desensitization in 2014.
  • Yuki Tsukumo returned to Jujutsu High in late autumn 2014, and Li met with her privately after assuring Masamichi Yaga he would handle her.
  • Yuki accused Li of being the anonymous caller who spoke about cutting out the cancer and claimed he had erased Toji Fushiguro, whose disappearance she had investigated through overseas bounty jobs.
  • Yuki told Li she had expected him to help overthrow Jujutsu Society and condemned him for becoming an ordinary teacher who followed the system.
  • Li told Yuki he had never been the revolutionary she imagined, called himself a mediocre person who went with the flow, and left her alone in the reception room.

Ch. 169Overclocking

After Yuki Tsukumo lost interest in him, the narrator kept a low profile as time passed into 2015 and drew the powerful but dangerous Time Perception Expansion talent. His first test exposed a severe mismatch between his accelerated thoughts and his normal-speed body, leaving him injured but with a potential trump card for desperate battles.

  • The narrator welcomed Yuki Tsukumo's disappointment, then continued teaching as 2014 passed and Kento Nanami remained an active Jujutsu High combatant.
  • In 2015, the narrator drew the SSR talent Time Perception Expansion, which greatly accelerated his information processing at the cost of severe brain damage.
  • The narrator activated the talent in the training room and observed a coin and drifting dust slow to a crawl while he tried to use Limitless.
  • His accelerated brain issued instructions faster than his body could respond, disrupting his cursed energy control and forcing him to end the technique.
  • The narrator suffered dizziness and a nosebleed, repaired his brain with Reverse Cursed Technique, and recognized the talent as a valuable emergency tool despite the danger.

Ch. 170An upperclassman in the wild

In 2016, Naobito Zenin visited the narrator to test Megumi Fushiguro and persuade him to inherit the Zenin Clan. After Megumi defeated Naobito, the narrator agreed to discuss the inheritance with him, while Naobito mentioned that a runaway Zenin girl might later come to Jujutsu High.

  • The narrator received the Perfect Ukemi talent card and added it to his collection.
  • Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi enrolled at Jujutsu High, where Panda watched over the new students.
  • Naobito Zenin visited the narrator and watched Megumi Fushiguro fight him at the secluded training ground.
  • Megumi and his shikigami countered Naobito's Projection Sorcery and defeated him.
  • Naobito asked the narrator to help persuade Megumi to inherit the Zenin Clan, and the narrator agreed to speak with him after setting graduation as the earliest time for a handover.
  • Naobito told the narrator that a runaway girl from the Zenin Clan might later arrive at Jujutsu High and asked him to look after her.

Ch. 1712017

In 2017, Shunchen stayed on high alert about the changed worldline and warned Suguru Geto that he feared something terrible would happen to him. The chapter ended when Megumi Fushiguro called in a panic to report that Tsumiki had fallen into an unexplained coma.

  • Shunchen received the Visual Center of Gravity Deception talent card and assessed how its feints could help in a closely matched fight.
  • Shunchen remained wary of the being who had taken Suguru Geto's body in his previous simulation, and increased his visits and warnings to Suguru.
  • Suguru asked what danger Shunchen feared, and Shunchen told him he had a grave premonition; Suguru promised to stay vigilant on missions.
  • Maki Zenin and Toge Inumaki enrolled at Jujutsu High, while Panda became their teaching assistant.
  • Megumi Fushiguro told Shunchen that Tsumiki had gone unconscious after visiting an abandoned site with classmates, and Nanako and Mimiko had discovered she would not wake.

Ch. 172'Healthy'

Shunchen rushed to the Fushiguro home after Tsumiki fell into an unexplained coma, suspecting a hidden force behind it. After finding no physical cause, Shunchen arranged hospital care and ordered an investigation of the test-of-courage site.

  • Shunchen left Jujutsu High with Kiyotaka Ijichi and reasoned that Tsumiki's condition showed no trace of cursed energy.
  • Shunchen arrived at the apartment, where Megumi Fushiguro, Nanako, and Mimiko anxiously waited beside Tsumiki.
  • Shunchen examined Tsumiki with reverse cursed technique and found her body healthy, though her consciousness seemed sealed away or removed.
  • Shunchen told the children to go to class and instructed Ijichi to arrange a confidential hospital transfer for Tsumiki.
  • Shunchen ordered Ijichi to investigate the test-of-courage location and its recent visitors, saying Shunchen would go there that day.

Ch. 173Time passed in peace

After Tsumiki fell into an unexplained coma, the narrator exhausted medical and supernatural avenues without finding a cure or the cause. Megumi chose to become a jujutsu sorcerer to search for a way to awaken her, while the expected disasters never came; the story ended with the new year’s draw granting the narrator Blind Spot Entry.

  • The narrator searched the place where Tsumiki had vanished but found no trace of cursed energy, while Kiyotaka Ijichi reported that hospital tests showed no physical abnormalities.
  • Shoko Ieiri and Satoru Gojo examined Tsumiki but could not explain her coma; Gojo saw signs of a completed alteration and suspected an effect on her soul or consciousness.
  • After a month of failed investigations, the narrator rejected using the Inverted Spear of Heaven on Tsumiki and told Megumi Fushiguro that no cure had been found.
  • Megumi Fushiguro overcame his despair and asked to enroll at Jujutsu High, determined to become a jujutsu sorcerer and find a way to awaken Tsumiki.
  • The narrator waited for the expected Night Parade of a Hundred Demons and the remembered attack on their life, but neither occurred, and Suguru Geto remained alive.
  • At the start of 2018, the system awarded the narrator the Blind Spot Entry [R] talent card.

Ch. 174Traditional practice

After Megumi Fushiguro graduated middle school, Li Shunchen moved him into Jujutsu High to protect him and prepare him for enrollment. During Masamichi Yaga’s entrance assessment, Megumi summoned an enormous, lightning-charged Qu Fusion that instantly destroyed Yaga’s test cursed corpse, leaving the principal stunned.

  • Li Shunchen made Megumi Fushiguro finish middle school before enrolling, using the public setting to shield him from the people behind Tsumiki’s coma.
  • Li Shunchen moved Nanako and Mimiko into their high school dormitory, then arranged for Megumi to live at Jujutsu High after his graduation.
  • Masamichi Yaga asked Megumi why he wanted to become a sorcerer, and Megumi said he hoped to wake Tsumiki.
  • Yaga challenged Megumi’s motivation and ordered his brown bear cursed corpse to attack until Megumi gave an honest answer.
  • Megumi summoned Qu Fusion, which tore apart the cursed corpse in a single attack and left Yaga speechless.

Ch. 175Undefeated below Special Grade

Megumi Fushiguro passed Masamichi Yaga’s entrance test after overwhelming the training room with his Ten Shadows Technique. After Megumi left, Yaga questioned Li Shunchen about the boy’s strength and wondered how dangerous Li himself might be.

  • Megumi recalled his resolve to remain a jujutsu sorcerer and help people, then recalled Qu Fusion into his shadow.
  • Yaga declared that Megumi had passed the test, and Megumi thanked him before leaving the training room.
  • Yaga asked Li Shunchen how strong Megumi had become, and Li said Megumi was unlikely to lose against conventional Grade 1 opponents.
  • Li explained that Megumi still needed to learn more than how to fight, and Yaga realized the boy was nearly undefeated below Special Grade.
  • Yaga wondered how powerful Li was and feared the disaster that could follow if Li, Satoru Gojo, or Suguru Geto went astray.
