• Heidens sacrificed most of his life force to summon Balsaze, who attacked Linley with a javelin imbued with the Laws of Light.
• Linley endured Balsaze's attacks and wounded him, then refused Bebe's plea to use a scroll as Balsaze prepared a killing blow.

As the Necropolis of the Gods prepared to open, Saints across the Yulan Continent weighed the chance to become Deities against leaving their families for ten years. Barker decided to enter, while Linley stayed behind and Loa planned to send his divine clone; the chapter ended with the future entrants preparing for the unknown trials.

• Fain gathered the O'Brien Empire's Saints at War God Mountain while the War God made preparations for the Necropolis of the Gods.
• Loa told the Xunzhen Republic Empire's Saints that the Necropolis would remain open for ten years and that entry was voluntary.
• Barker chose to enter the Necropolis, and Linley gave him a contribution-point Token to obtain one of Loa's defensive scrolls.
• Linley decided to stay with Delia and their children, while Loa considered sending his divine clone into the Necropolis.
• Beirut forced Wangcai and Bebe to continue training their ability to fuse profound mysteries.

The Deities and their gathered Saints and magical beasts traveled to the South Sea and entered the Necropolis of the Gods. Inside, Linley felt a mysterious connection to a divine-beast relief, then watched Bebe and Wangcai leave with the magical beasts as Beirut assured him they would be safe.

• The War God, Catherine, Loa, Linley, Dylan, Cesar, and their followers gathered at the Dark Forest before Beirut led them to the South Sea entrance.
• Catherine explained that this Necropolis opening would be reached through the South Sea, and no one withdrew before nightfall.
• Beirut opened the spatial gate at the bottom of the sea, and the group passed through into the Necropolis of the Gods.
• Linley saw four enormous divine-beast reliefs and felt something in the dragon carving call to his bloodline.
• Beirut told everyone to remain in the Necropolis for ten years, and the human Saints and magical beasts split up.
• Bebe and Wangcai left with the magical beasts, and Beirut assured Linley that their lives would not be in danger.

Olivier advanced through the trial tower’s first five floors, surviving its hazards and encountering Wangcai and Bebe on the fifth. As Olivier headed toward the volcano alone, Barker chose to stop and cultivate, intending to climb higher only if he broke through.

• Olivier crossed the desert and plant-world floors, then slipped past the divine beast Ba Snake to reach the fourth floor.
• Olivier passed through the Snowfield Panda Clan’s territory after its leader told him to leave, and reached the fifth floor.
• Bebe and Wangcai swept through their undead trial space, defeating its beasts and gathering Magic Crystal Cores as gifts for Xini and the others.
• Olivier met Bebe and Wangcai on the fifth floor, declined their offer to help him climb, and headed toward the volcano alone.
• Barker rested on the fifth floor after Wangcai and Bebe gave him Magic Crystal Cores and one of Loa’s attack scrolls, then began cultivating.

Bebe and Wangcai reached the sixth floor, where Desri warned them about the Flame Monarch and its army of Red Rock Demons. The pair went ahead anyway, and as the creatures surrounded them, Bebe volunteered to fight the Flame Monarch while Wangcai took on the others.

• Desri explained that the sixth floor was ruled by the immensely powerful Flame Monarch, who wielded the Bloodthirsty Great Axe and commanded countless Red Rock Demons.
• Desri and Tulilei said they had fought the Flame Monarch three thousand years earlier and planned to train on the fifth floor before challenging the sixth.
• Bebe and Wangcai ignored the warning and passed through the entrance to inspect the sixth floor.
• More than three hundred Red Rock Demons emerged from the lava and surrounded Bebe and Wangcai as the Flame Monarch rose from a lava river.
• The Flame Monarch ordered his Red Rock Demons to attack, and Bebe told Wangcai to clear them out while he fought the Flame Monarch.

Wangcai and Bebe fought the Flame Monarch and his Red Rock Demons on the sixth floor, destroying the army and apparently killing the monarch before his core rebuilt him. The Flame Monarch entered his combat form and ordered his children to self-destruct, leaving Wangcai and Bebe facing his unleashed power.

• Bebe used Shadow Clone Technique to slash the Flame Monarch while Wangcai magnetized Red Rock Demons and hurled them into their ranks.
• Wangcai summoned Thunder Greeting Heavenly Punishment, reducing hundreds of Red Rock Demons to ash and slag.
• Wangcai pierced the Flame Monarch's head with a lightning attack, and the monarch's body shattered across the ground.
• Boulders reassembled around the Flame Monarch's transparent core, while more Red Rock Demons emerged from the magma.
• The Flame Monarch ordered the Red Rock Demons to self-destruct, shrank into his stronger combat form, and activated the Bloodthirsty Great Axe.

Bebe and Wangcai defeated the Flame Monarch and his Red Rock Demons on the sixth floor, then found the passage to the seventh floor. After the remaining guards fled, the two divine beasts entered the passage.

• Bebe absorbed most of the Flame Monarch's axe strikes while Wangcai destroyed the Red Rock Demons that tried to self-destruct.
• Wangcai found the passage to the seventh floor, and Bebe unleashed his eight Shadow Clones to overwhelm and dismantle the Flame Monarch.
• Bebe swallowed the Flame Monarch's transparent core, while Wangcai warned him that Beirut might pump his stomach again.

Wangcai and Bebe entered the Seventh Layer, fought plant monsters, and discovered that the Mother Empress was guarding the passage in a vast desert. They found her at a Black Pyramid, where Wangcai's opening attack failed to stop her, and she unleashed a storm of vines against them.

• Bebe took a scimitar and magic staff from a stone chamber, then he and Wangcai entered the Seventh Layer's desert world.
• A root monster trapped them in an oasis, but Bebe escaped with Wangcai's help, and Wangcai destroyed the oasis with a Lightning Spear.
• Bebe pursued and devoured the root monster after it warned them about the Mother Empress; Wangcai and Bebe then searched the desert for her and the passage.
• After the oasis monsters proved unable to reveal the Mother Empress's location, Wangcai and Bebe uncovered a Black Pyramid and its passage beneath the sand.
• The Mother Empress, who introduced herself as Lashabel, emerged among the vines; Wangcai pierced her with a Lightning Spear, but she healed and sent thousands of vines toward him and Bebe.

Wangcai and Bebe escaped Lashabel’s vines with a coordinated attack, and Wangcai’s Ten Thousand Jun of Thunder nearly destroyed her. Bebe discovered that Lashabel survived because of a Life Source Pearl, leaving the pair to consider how they could reach it.

• Lashabel trapped Wangcai and Bebe with spatial immobilization, so Bebe defended them while Wangcai prepared an area attack.
• Bebe released the energy he had devoured to blast open a gap in Lashabel’s vines, allowing them to flee as Wangcai completed his spell.
• Wangcai cast Ten Thousand Jun of Thunder, setting Lashabel’s vines ablaze and forcing her to retreat into a defensive ball.
• Bebe watched from a Shadow Clone and saw an emerald Life Source Pearl restore Lashabel’s scorched vines, keeping her alive.

Desri and Tulilei found that Wangcai and Bebe had defeated the Flame Monarch and learned they were stymied by Queen Mother Lashabel’s Life Source Pearl. The Six-Eyed Golden Lions revealed a way to immobilize her for one second, and Wangcai saw a chance to destroy her with a coordinated attack.

• Desri and Tulilei entered the sixth floor and found the Flame Monarch dead, its Red Rock Demons scattered, and signs that Wangcai and Bebe had fought their way through.
• On the seventh floor, Wangcai and Bebe told Desri and Tulilei that Queen Mother Lashabel’s Life Source Pearl instantly healed her injuries.
• Desri brought everyone back to the fifth floor and asked whether anyone knew about the green pearl.
• The three Six-Eyed Golden Lions identified it as a Life Source Pearl, which could restore Lashabel unless an attack completely obliterated her.

Wangcai, Bebe, and their allies attacked Mother Empress Lashabel in the Seventh Layer and destroyed her Life Source Pearl. Lashabel died, her offspring withered, and the group stood victorious beside the vast crater left by Wangcai’s attack.

• Wangcai led the group to Lashabel’s black pyramid, where she commanded a vast green sea of offspring and launched an all-out attack.
• Rosalie froze Lashabel’s vines with Absolute Zero, while Desri’s soul attack failed to harm her.
• The Six-Eyed Golden Lions immobilized Lashabel, and Bebe broke through her defenses as Tulilei, Fain, and the others held back her vines.
• Bebe exposed Lashabel’s Life Source Pearl, then Wangcai struck it with the Spear of Judgment and shattered it.

After clearing the Seventh Layer, Olivier, Wangcai, and the others entered the seemingly empty Eighth Layer and discovered the Evil Eye King guarding the passage to the Ninth. The Evil Eye King froze Olivier and Wangcai with soul attacks, but both broke free, and Olivier struck the giant ice body before learning that the king’s true body was its golden eye.

• After Lashabel’s death, the Seventh Layer’s Offspring withered, and nine challengers entered the Eighth Layer while the others stayed behind to train.
• Desri and the others flew across the empty ice field for nearly two hours and found the passage to the Ninth Layer.
• As Fain approached the passage, the Evil Eye King emerged from an iceberg, sealed the entrance, and declared that he would kill five of the nine.
• The Evil Eye King’s gray beams froze Wangcai and Olivier, but Wangcai’s golden light nullified the soul attack and Olivier’s Light-Dark Divine Sword broke through the freezing.
• Olivier shattered the Evil Eye King’s ice body with his sword, and the Six-Eyed Golden Lion warned that the giant was only condensed energy and that the golden eye was his true body.

Olivier fought the Evil Eye King on the eighth floor while Wangcai guarded him, and his fused light-dark sword art ultimately destroyed the King. Wounded but alive, Olivier left with Wangcai for the ninth floor, where Desri and the others were waiting.

• Olivier sent Desri and the others ahead, while Wangcai stayed behind to support him and revealed that the Evil Eye King's soul attacks vanished inside him.
• Olivier used Light-Dark Sword Intent to sever the Evil Eye King's ice arm and break through his ice defenses, even as he resisted repeated soul attacks.
• Olivier learned to target the laws within the King's ice, landing wounds on the golden eye and forcing the King to form an enormous ice body.
• Olivier unleashed Light-Dark Disintegration, erasing the Evil Eye King's golden eye, soul, and giant ice body.

Olivier and Wangcai returned from the Eighth Layer, and the group entered the Ninth Layer, where they met the exile Ruyi, who tried to keep them from reaching the passage. When Ruyi attacked, the group discovered he was a Thorium Demon vulnerable to lightning, making Wangcai their ideal counter as the confrontation began.

• Olivier gave Rosalie an Ice Element Staff, while Bebe lent Tulilei the Blood-Red Curved Blade.
• The nine experts crossed the peaceful Ninth Layer and found Ruyi waiting beside a wooden house on the island's hilltop.
• Ruyi said he would not attack them if they stayed with him, but refused Desri's offer to remain behind while the others passed.
• Rosalie spotted the passage to the tenth layer, and the group stood to face Ruyi when he would not let them through.
• Ruyi transformed into a Thorium Demon and attacked Tulilei, who knocked him back with a destructive slash.
• The Six-Eyed Golden Lion explained that lightning could counter Thorium Demons, and the group eagerly turned to Wangcai, a master of lightning.

Tulilei and Fain unleashed their ultimate attacks to destroy Ruyi the Thorium Demon, overcoming his seawater-enhanced body and the Life Source Pearl’s recovery. The group recovered the pearl, while Tulilei and Fain fell into deep sleep, and Desri saw that the passage to the tenth floor was open.

• Ruyi transformed into a vast thorium sheet, but Tulilei, Fain, Wangcai, Bebe, and the Six-Eyed Golden Lions attacked it and revealed that the lions also cultivated the Path of Destruction.
• Ruyi absorbed seawater into his giant body and used the Life Source Pearl to recover from the group’s attacks, leaving them unable to damage his core.
• Wangcai led the others away as Tulilei used his Near-God Strike to break Ruyi into metal granules and hold them apart with the Power of Destruction.
• Fain unleashed his Thunder Dragon Descent, whose lightning bound and vaporized the granules, destroying Ruyi and leaving the Life Source Pearl behind.
• Desri caught the Life Source Pearl and gave it to Fain and Tulilei to restore their bodies, but both men fell asleep from soul exhaustion.

Fain received the Life Source Pearl, and the group spent nine years preparing to face the Eleventh Layer’s Abyss Blade Demons. Outside the Necropolis of the Gods, Loa advanced from Lowgod to Midgod in both wind and lightning, astonishing the waiting Deities and Beirut.

• Tulilei gave the Life Source Pearl to Fain, who absorbed it and recovered.
• The group encountered an Abyss Blade Demon near the Eleventh Layer’s entrance, and Bebe killed it; Tulilei took its back saber.
• The group reconnoitered the Eleventh Layer, found nearly a million Abyss Blade Demons, and lost one of the Six-Eyed Golden Lion brothers while retreating.
• The survivors trained on the Tenth Layer for nine years before preparing to enter the Eleventh Layer again.
• Loa’s wind and lightning Divine Sparks advanced to Midgod, and Dylan, Cesar, O’Brien, Catherine, and Beirut congratulated him.

After the Necropolis of the Gods opened its exit, the surviving experts reunited, divided the treasures from the Eleventh Layer, and learned that Taraosha was the Ba Snake who had overseen the early layers. Beirut led the survivors back toward the Yulan Continent, where they parted ways for home and training.

• The survivors emerged from the Necropolis of the Gods, and Wangcai reunited with Loa while Bebe greeted Beirut and Barker, Olivier, Desri, and Tulilei joined them.
• The group recalled how they defeated the Abyss Blade Demons on the Eleventh Layer and divided its Divine Sparks and divine artifacts among the survivors.
• Taraosha introduced himself to the Deities and Dylan before Beirut revealed that he was the Ba Snake, overseer of the Necropolis's first eleven layers.
• Beirut led six Deities and thirty Saints toward the Yulan Continent, while Cesar said he would take Rosalie to the Ice Goddess Temple.
• Loa returned toward the Xunzhen Republic Empire with Wangcai, Bebe, Barker, and Desri, Olivier went with O'Brien, and Tulilei returned to the Far East Prairie to train.

Loa returned to Xunzhen City after ten years in the Necropolis of the Gods and reunited with Linley, Bebe, and their family. After sharing gifts and catching up on the empire’s affairs, Loa told Linley he would leave again on the ninth of the next month.

• Desri parted from Loa at the border, and Bebe rushed into Linley’s arms when Loa reached Xunzhen City.
• Loa reunited with Delia, Taylor, Sasha, and Xini, and learned that Xini was married and had been left to act as Head of State.
• Bebe gave the young people Divine Artifacts and presented Xini with one thousand Abyss Blade Demon battle sabers for the border troops.
• Loa learned that Wharton and Mia were away inspecting trade routes and that Bob was traveling around the continent.
• Barker returned home and reunited with his wife and brothers.
• Loa and Linley watched the city together, and Loa said he would leave on the ninth of the next month.

At a family banquet, Beirut took Bebe and Wangcai to the Dark Forest to prepare for their imminent ascension to Deity level, while Loa announced his intention to leave for a Higher Plane after the Necropolis. The next morning, Loa joined Catherine, O'Brien, Cesar, and Dylan to enter the newly opened twelfth layer, which Beirut warned was intended for Deities.

• Beirut arrived at Linley's family banquet and explained that Bebe and Wangcai were nearing adulthood and needed to cultivate under his guidance.
• Bebe and Wangcai agreed to leave with Beirut, and Loa encouraged Wangcai to become a Deity before they traveled to a Higher Plane.
• Loa told Linley he had decided to seek greater challenges on a Higher Plane because the Yulan Continent could no longer help him advance.
• The next morning, Loa checked his original body, then joined the others at the Dark Forest and learned Taraosha had chosen to remain behind.
• Beirut led Catherine, O'Brien, Cesar, Dylan, and Loa through the portal, and all five entered the newly opened passage to the twelfth layer.

Loa and his companions searched the twelfth floor of the Infernal Realm and found its guardian, a Midgod-level Hellhound. The beast awakened as the five prepared to face it.

• Catherine recalled that she and O'Brien had barely survived the twelfth floor three thousand years earlier, when its guardian was a Volcano Giant.
• The five split into three groups to search the vast lava world, with Loa traveling alone.
• Loa, Catherine, and O'Brien found signs that the floor’s inhabitants had been wiped out, and O'Brien concluded the guardian was responsible.
• The five reunited before a black stone tower and saw a massive three-headed beast sleeping beside it.
• Dylan identified the beast as a divine Hellhound with three independent heads and an innate ability linked to death.
• The Hellhound opened all six eyes and stood, awakening as the twelfth-floor guardian.

Loa and the others attacked the three-headed Hellhound on the twelfth floor, wounding him with coordinated strikes and forcing him to unleash powerful Death-Attribute attacks. The Hellhound then used his innate divine ability, Death Call, a soul attack that swept across the battlefield.

• The Hellhound confronted Loa, Dylan, Catherine, Cesar, and O'Brien, while his three heads argued over whether to kill or keep them.
• Loa and the others launched a coordinated assault, cutting the Hellhound's neck and injuring Second's face, foreleg, and knee.
• Loa used Wind Threads Turn to Dust to cover the Hellhound in countless cuts as the others defended themselves against his counterattacks.
• The Hellhound ordered Second and Third to recover while he focused on Loa, then attacked with a Death-Attribute sphere that Loa deflected into the magma sea.
• The Hellhound abandoned his defense and unleashed Death Call, spreading a gray-white soul-destroying halo across the battlefield.

Loa resisted the Hellhound’s Death Call with the combined power of his Lightning and Wind Divine Clones, then counterattacked as the beast lunged at him. He left the Hellhound badly wounded by severing the lower jaw of its eldest head.

• Dylan stunned the Hellhound for an instant and swallowed Cesar, Catherine, and O'Brien into his abdomen, but Loa refused to retreat with them.
• Loa endured Death Call as his Lightning Judgment Profound Mystery and Wind Divine Clone’s soul power drove back the deathly mist.
• The Hellhound realized Loa had survived the attack and charged while Loa appeared to be stabilizing his soul.
• Loa opened his eyes and used Wind Threads Turn to Dust to cut through the Hellhound’s eldest head’s lower jaw.

Loa used fused wind and lightning divine power to summon the Nine Heavens Execution Platform and kill the Hellhound. He took its Fire Element Intermediate Godhead and death intermediate godhead, while Dylan and the others watched from safety.

• The Hellhound’s three heads pretended to gather Death Call, planning to dive into the lava river and use the lion’s swallowed companions as leverage.
• Loa fused his wind and lightning divine powers and summoned the Nine Heavens Execution Platform, suppressing the Hellhound and piercing its death-law canopy.
• The platform bound all three of the Hellhound’s souls and sealed its divine power, leaving the beast unable to move or continue Death Call.
• Loa commanded the platform to execute the Hellhound, killing its bodies and souls with one strike and leaving two divine sparks behind.
• Loa collected the Fire Element Intermediate Godhead and death intermediate godhead, while Dylan released Cesar, Catherine, and O’Brien and confirmed that Loa had won.

After Loa killed the Hellhound, the group found three Middle-Level Divine Artifacts in the Stone Tower and divided them among Dylan, Cesar, and O'Brien. Catherine led them through the gate to the thirteenth floor.

• Loa recovered after killing the Hellhound while Dylan, Cesar, Catherine, and O'Brien joined him beneath the Stone Tower.
• O'Brien silently hoped for the Hellhound's Fire Element Intermediate Godhead, but Loa waited for him to offer something in exchange.
• The group climbed the empty tower and found a suit of fiery red armor, destruction gloves, and a Death Law short blade on a stone platform.
• Loa and Catherine passed on the artifacts, while Dylan took the gloves, Cesar chose the short blade, and O'Brien claimed the armor.

Loa’s group explored the unknown thirteenth floor, where an elf attacked them from the primeval forest. Catherine searched the captured elf’s memories and warned that things were looking bad.

• The five cautiously entered the forest, where a venomous green snake struck O'Brien and an arrow nearly hit Catherine before Dylan caught it.
• Cesar tracked the arrow to its source, captured an unconscious male elf, and brought back his low-level artifact shortbow.
• Catherine identified the attacker as an elf from an ancient race that had disappeared from the Yulan Plane, and explained how the Gnomes had once ruled it before being destroyed.
• Catherine performed Soul Search on the elf, who died as she extracted his memories.
• Catherine told the others that things were looking bad.
