Background / History

The Celestial Master Mansion is one of the three great holy lands of the Taoist School and the ancestral home of the Taoist Talisman lineage. Its cultivation tradition emphasizes dual cultivation of life and nature, beginning with physical strengthening before progressing toward cultivation of the soul and spirit 1.

Its early decline followed the ancient catastrophe because of its deep entanglement with the ancient Heavenly Palace. The founding Ancestral Celestial Master was both the first Celestial Master and founder of the Taoist Talisman School, but his later fate is unknown 589 594.

The Mansion later endured a schism and further internal conflict during the period when successive Celestial Masters came from the Li family. Veteran elders and other-surname factions challenged the Li lineage's continuous leadership, escalating into civil war and allowing outside enemies to exploit the division 59.

After Celestial Master Li Qingfeng's death and the ensuing Li–Other Surnames conflict, Tang Xiaotang defeated Li Song and became Celestial Master. The Li Clan retreated to Lan Mountain, while the Other Surnames secured Dragon Tiger Mountain and began rebuilding the depleted sect 183.

Lei Jun later succeeded Tang Xiaotang as Celestial Master. Under his leadership, the Mansion restored and expanded its influence without aggressively pursuing territorial expansion, while cooperating with groups such as the Mount Shu Sect, Returning Heaven Hall, Mysterious Machine Temple, and Great Tang officials on artifact refinement, medicine making, and projects benefiting lower-level cultivators and ordinary people 354 433.

Dao Children and Ordination

The Dao Child Courtyard at the foot of Dragon Tiger Mountain provides foundational instruction, including preliminary Daoist techniques, Taoist boxing, footwork, and practical errands. Dao children can use inherited spirit talismans but cannot create their own talismans or access higher Daoist arts before ordination 1.

A Dao child becomes a formal Taoist priest and direct disciple by entering the Mansion for ordination, receiving a lineage, Daoist name, and generational standing 1.

Jiangzhou Lin Clan

Human Realm Dao Kingdom Assault
