Creation and Imperial Recognition

Jin Li created Xue Qianren to attract attention and earn Reputation Points in the mortal world. He purchased Xue Qinghe’s bloodline for 100 points, combined it with a drop of his own blood, and selected a six-year-old body with innate full Soul Power. The clone appeared in Heaven Dou City’s moat and immediately announced himself as Xue Qinghe’s son and the imperial grandson 2.

His Golden Swan Martial Soul convinced the gate guard and onlookers that he belonged to the imperial family. At court, Xue Ye ordered a test using the Imperial Bloodline Crystal. Qian Renxue, who was impersonating Xue Qinghe, secretly substituted Xue-family blood for her own; Xue Qianren’s blood then caused the crystal to shine red, verifying a direct familial relationship. Xue Ye formally recognized him as the Heaven Dou Firstborn Imperial Grandson, entered him into the imperial records, and ordered “Xue Qinghe” to raise him personally 2 3.

Life with Qian Renxue

In private, Qian Renxue revealed her identity and questioned his origins. Xue Qianren admitted that he was not truly a member of the Xue family, but encouraged her mistaken belief that Golden Crocodile Douluo had sent him. His claims about a royal grandmother and a mutated Martial Soul helped sustain this cover, although he truthfully gave his original name as Jin Li 4 5.

Qian Renxue housed him in the Crown Prince’s Residence and required him to continue calling her “Father” or “Daddy” in public. Their frequent arguments became companionship for both of them. Nevertheless, Jin Li had already planned for Xue Qianren to die publicly in a confrontation with her, maximizing the clone’s reputation 4 5 6.

Academy Incident and Succession

Xue Qianren visited Heaven Dou Royal Academy under the stated purpose of investigating bullying and earning political achievements for his father. His speeches about opposing injustice persuaded Dugu Yan to support him. When Xue Beng threatened to abduct her, Xue Qianren suppressed his Martial Soul, killed him by crushing his chest, and ordered his followers to record their crimes 7 8.

He then publicly attributed his campaign against corruption to Xue Qinghe, implicating Qian Renxue in a political challenge she had not authorized. Xue Ye protected Xue Qianren and shifted responsibility toward the crown prince. By the following day, Qian Renxue had lost her position and much of her court support, while Xue Qianren had become the court’s acknowledged heir and gained nearly 3,000 additional Reputation Points 8 9 12.

To secure Dugu Bo’s backing, Xue Ye arranged Xue Qianren’s betrothal to Dugu Yan. Xue Qianren had previously rejected an arranged marriage because he was not prepared to share his life with someone and did not want to hold her back. He learned that the decree had nevertheless been issued while Qian Renxue was teaching him governance 9 10 13.

Exposure of Spirit Hall and Death

Golden Crocodile Douluo attacked Xue Qianren in his bedroom, intending to protect Qian Renxue and Spirit Hall’s operation. Unable to resist through his ordinary strength—and unwilling to die unnoticed—Xue Qianren burned his Golden Dragon King blood. The resulting light illuminated Heaven Dou City, and his Dragon Might suppressed Golden Crocodile 15.

When Qian Renxue arrived, he publicly exposed her impersonation of Xue Qinghe and accused Spirit Hall of sending an assassin to silence him. He considered killing Golden Crocodile but refrained after seeing her. Believing their relationship had been a deception, Qian Renxue attacked; Dugu Bo intervened, while Golden Crocodile knocked her unconscious and took her away 15.

With his life force exhausted, Xue Qianren delivered a farewell to Heaven Dou’s people, urged them to shoulder their responsibilities, and dispersed into golden light. Qian Renxue mourned him, while Golden Crocodile and Snake Lance interpreted his death as a patriotic sacrifice. The released Golden Dragon King aura also attracted the gods’ attention 16.

Later Revelations

Jin Li subsequently explained to Qian Renxue that he was an imprisoned, million-year-old Soul Beast using clones to gather faith and escape confinement, eventually obtaining her forgiveness. Separately, Dugu Yan suspected that Ye Ling’s purported father, “Jin,” might be Xue Qianren after hearing that he possessed a golden dragon Martial Soul 23 24.

Xue Qianren is mischievous, theatrical, and intensely attention-seeking. He uses feigned innocence, staged emotion, and grand declarations to shape other people’s impressions. His concern for reputation can override political consequences: after killing Xue Beng, he privately considers Heaven Dou’s survival less important than preserving the legend of Xue Qianren 2 3 4 8.

His public idealism is not entirely false. He expresses a genuine wish to improve Heaven Dou, protects Dugu Yan, and feels embarrassed by Xue Ye’s kindness. Xue Ye regards him as talented and well-intentioned but impulsive, lacking the forethought needed to govern 8 9.

Companionship gradually complicates his plans. After Jin Li’s prolonged isolation, Xue Qianren enjoys bickering with Qian Renxue and becomes reluctant to lose their bond. He remains committed to his staged death, but his affection influences his decision to spare Golden Crocodile 5 12 15.
