Choices After Graduation
The journey home was much easier than the way there.
With no competitions urging them to hurry, and no more attacks from Fallen Soul Master, the group stopped to stay overnight in bustling towns along the way, taking the opportunity to sample the local cuisine.
After traveling and stopping for more than ten days, the towering city walls of Heaven Dou City finally came into view.
"I'm finally back!"
Oscar lifted the carriage curtain, gazed at the familiar city gate ahead, and stretched languidly.
"If I sit any longer, my back will be so sore I won't be able to straighten up."
The carriage followed the flow of people into the city gate.
Before long, the gates of the Blue Tyrant Academy came into view.
Upon hearing the news of the team's return, the teachers who remained at the academy were already waiting at the gate with many students. As soon as the car door opened, a cheer erupted.
"The dean is back!"
"Champions! We are the champions!"
As everyone got off the bus, they smiled at the excited faces in front of the door.
Flender puffed out his chest, straightened his collar, and then walked forward with his hands behind his back.
He had been waiting for this moment all along.
The college prepared a lively welcome banquet for everyone.
After the banquet ended and their luggage was properly settled, Yu Xiaogang and his group reunited in the conference room.
Xiao Wu held her teacup and leaned comfortably back in her chair.
"It's better to come back."
Ma Hongjun nodded in deep agreement. "Especially the beds in our college, they're so reassuring to sleep on."
Flender chuckled and tapped the table.
"Okay, let's be quiet for a moment."
Everyone turned to look.
Flender adjusted his glasses, his gaze sweeping over the young people before him, his smile gradually softening.
"There's something else I wanted to announce to you all today."
"According to the academy's requirements, reaching level 40 in Soul Power is sufficient to qualify for graduation."
"Now, not only have you all surpassed level 40, but you have also won the championship of the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament."
He paused slightly, then smiled and said:
"Therefore, from today onwards, you are all eligible to graduate."
The meeting room fell silent for a moment.
Ma Hongjun sat up straight instinctively, and Oscar put down his cup as well.
"Graduate?"
Xiao Wu blinked, turned to look at Tang San, and seemed a little confused.
Since enrolling, everyone has been either training or competing every day, and it seems like this kind of life will continue.
Hearing the word "graduation" suddenly felt a little strange.
Flender looked at them and laughed, "What's wrong? You always complained about how tiring the training was, but now that it's time for you to graduate, you're reluctant to let me go?"
"Who says I can't bear to part with it!"
Oscar raised his hand and grinned.
"I just wanted to ask, after graduation, will I no longer have to be forced to do extra training by you?"
Zhao Wuji clenched his fist beside him.
"If you want to stretch your muscles, feel free to contact me anytime."
"Then forget it."
Oscar immediately lowered his hand, which drew laughter from everyone.
Ning Rongrong also clapped her hands with a smile.
We've graduated!
Graduation!
Xiao Wu cheered and grabbed Tang San's arm, shaking it with joy in her eyes.
Flender waited until they had made a fuss for a while before speaking again.
However, graduating doesn't necessarily mean leaving the college.
"Those who wish to stay can still cultivate and live here. Even if they leave in the future, there will always be a place for them to come back."
He spoke casually, but everyone who listened felt a warmth in their hearts.
Ma Hongjun immediately leaned back in his chair, putting his hands behind his head.
"I think I'll stay in the academy then. I'm used to it and don't want to move."
Ma Hongjun chuckled, "Besides, if I really leave, who will you be able to boss around?"
Stop patting yourself on the back.
Flender feigned disdain, but a smile played on his lips.
Liu Erlong looked at the others. "What about you? What are your plans for the future? Tell me about them."
Ning Rongrong sat up a little straighter.
"I'd like to return to my sect first."
"I've been away for so long. Although I saw my dad during the competition, we didn't get to talk much. Now that the competition is over, I have to go back and spend time with him, as well as Grandpa Sword and Grandpa Bone."
Her voice lightened considerably when she talked about her family.
Yu Xiaogang nodded. "That's right, it's good for him to go back and stay for a while."
Ning Rongrong smiled and agreed, then added, "But I'll be back, teacher. You can't secretly teach them anything good while I'm gone, okay?"
Don't worry, you'll get your share.
Yu Xiaogang laughed.
Oscar, sitting next to him, opened his mouth, but swallowed back the words that were already on the tip of his tongue.
Of course he wanted to go back with Rongrong.
only...
He was not unaware of the rules of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
When a direct disciple of a sect chooses a partner, the partner must possess sufficient combat capabilities to protect each other in times of danger.
Although he was already Soul Ancestor and had learned the Six Styles and the Dance of Frenzied Battle from his teacher, he was still far from being able to reliably protect Rongrong.
We can't always rely on Boss Dai and his men to shield us from powerful enemies.
Oscar looked down at his palm and slowly clenched it.
Ning Rongrong noticed that he had suddenly quieted down, and turned her head to ask, "Little Ao, what about you?"
Oscar looked up, a smile returning to his face.
"I'll stay at the academy and continue my training with my teacher."
"I haven't quite mastered the Dance of Frenzied Battle yet. I'll take advantage of your trip home to put in more practice. When you come back, maybe even Battle Soul Master won't be able to beat me."
Ning Rongrong chuckled lightly, "Then I'll be waiting. Don't just talk the talk, walk the walk."
"Rest assured!"
Oscar agreed readily, but his gaze softened unconsciously as he looked at her.
Yu Xiaogang saw this scene but didn't say anything, only nodding slightly to Oscar.
Oscar has great potential! If the Food God Martial Soul is properly developed, it can be very well-rounded, and his combat ability will be quite good.
Tang San's plan was much simpler.
"Teacher, Xiao Wu and I will stay with you."
Xiao Wu nodded immediately. "Yes, wherever you go, we'll go."
Dugu Yan, sitting on the other side, laughed upon hearing this.
"Then add me to the list."
"Grandpa travels around a lot these days and doesn't need me to accompany him. I'd better stay with my teacher."
Yu Xiaogang looked at the group and smiled as he agreed.
Finally, everyone's attention fell on Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing.
Dai Mubai didn't rush to speak, but instead turned his head to look at Zhu Zhuqing beside him.
Zhu Zhuqing was also looking at him.
Their eyes met, and they smiled at each other simultaneously.
Dai Mubai reached out and took her hand, then looked up and said, "Teacher, we're preparing to return to the Star Luo Empire."
The laughter in the meeting room subsided slightly.
Ma Hongjun also lowered his hands from behind his head and sat up straight.
"So fast?"
There are some things I need to go back and take care of.
Dai Mubai smiled and said, "We've already won the competition, and we've faced everyone we needed to face."
Zhu Zhuqing nodded gently.
Let's go back together.
