At the Star Dou Great Forest, he secured the allegiance of surviving leaders including Xiong Jun, the Myriad Demon King, and the Scarlet King. During the journey from Shrek City, Yun Ming—now sharing Leng Yulai's body—seized Lin Ming as a hostage and took him to the Holy Spirit Cult. Lin Ming claimed that his subordinates had removed the Secret of the Body, making his survival necessary for anyone seeking it. Lin Ming deliberately provoked the cult's leaders and refused to reveal the Lin Group's information or surrender its money.
