"Why did I feel so... weak?"
Qin Su woke groggily—or rather, booted up. He had never imagined that, after ascending into a mechanical intelligence, he would one day feel groggy.
"Remaining power can sustain the core computer for only 9 hours and 38 minutes." The circuitry's microcirculation had drained the Honkai energy battery over the long passage of time. Yet in theory, this thing should have lasted seven thousand years.
"Was there an error in the calculations?" He carefully reviewed the data in his stored programs. "Impossible. The results have undergone repeated verification and practical validation. Perhaps it was the impact during landing, or perhaps a logical flaw I failed to uncover."
"The decision not to reject the risk-response strategy was entirely correct."
The rocket's cargo hold contained fuel, basic materials, and industrial mother machines, along with a T-X folded into a sphere. His risk assessment had recommended bringing ten T-800s, three T-1000s, or one T-X to deal with the Honkai Beasts that might appear during the early stages of colonization. But the cost would have been increasing the rocket's size or reducing the engineering equipment it carried.
In the end, he chose the T-X because it was made of Soul Steel and could fold into a sphere, reducing its volume and spatial footprint.
More fortunately, the Law-Ruler Core drew Honkai energy from the Imaginary Space rather than replenishing it from the outside world, because no Honkai energy existed on Mars at all. Although charging from the Imaginary Space was exceedingly slow, for Qin Su, whose power was nearly depleted, it was the only way to replenish his electricity.
Qin Su's temporary body was a mobile base vehicle equipped with a powered drill. To reduce the rocket's construction time, it had deliberately been built with lightweight materials and a smaller
