Spirit Hall and the Primordial World

Bibi Dong initially watches the Primordial World through the Light Screen from Spirit Hall. Concerned about the opportunities being gained by their enemies, she agrees to Qian Daoliu’s proposal that ascending Spirit Hall elders should seek out Qian Renxue 3.

As the Heavenly Dao suppresses the Rakshasa Divine Sense, Bibi Dong begins reassessing her attachments. She becomes increasingly protective of Qian Renxue, silencing elders who criticize her, and abandons her Divine Examination. Nevertheless, she fears that her daughter’s divine authority might expose the past she wants to conceal 19 37 55.

She recognizes that reconciliation will be difficult because she has made Qian Renxue suffer for years. Her wish to reunite with her daughter also carries practical motives: she hopes to benefit from Qian Renxue’s growing influence and alliances in the Primordial World 29 50 62.

Ascension and the Sea of Blood

Chosen in the third ascension alongside Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong, and Flender, Bibi Dong publicly acknowledges Qian Renxue as her daughter before departing. By then, her former obsession with Yu Xiaogang has disappeared following the suppression of the Rakshasa God’s influence and Zhao Wuji’s revelations 63.

She arrives in a barren, scorching landscape and prioritizes changing cultivation systems rather than exploring blindly. After learning to cultivate while standing because the ground is too hot, she destroys her Martial Souls and Soul Rings to begin the Qi Refining Method 66 67.

Princess Iron Fan detects a faint rakshasa scent on her and takes her first to Flaming Mountain, then to the Sea of Blood. Bibi Dong passes a test of resolve there and reveals that her daughter is the Seventh-Rank Mountain God of Five Finger Mountain and organizer of a tournament attracting powerful divine spectators 67 71.

Ancestor Minghe sees the tournament as an opportunity for the Sea of Blood’s younger generation to make a favorable impression on Nüwa. He transforms Bibi Dong into an Asura, teaches her orthodox cultivation, restores her Martial Souls, and lends her the Third-Rank Hong Lian on the condition that she represent the Sea of Blood and win 72.

Tournament and confrontation with Qian Renxue

Bibi Dong arrives at Five Finger Mountain aboard Hong Lian and takes the Nine-Colored Gauze from Xiao Wu. Yu Xiaogang’s familiar address and demands for her treasures expose their former relationship before the assembled contestants. She rejects him violently rather than accepting his attempt to resume their old intimacy 79 80.

She publicly introduces Princess Iron Fan and Red Boy to Qian Renxue, deliberately establishing their family connection before an audience. Although she intends to apologize privately afterward, Qian Renxue resents the maneuver and remains openly hostile 81.

After defeating the other eight contestants, Bibi Dong faces her daughter. She intends to endure some punishment and use her injuries to help repair their relationship, but badly underestimates Qian Renxue’s Golden Cudgel assault 91 92.

The enclosing cudgels trigger memories of a traumatic secret chamber. Following a brief outburst, she repeatedly admits fault and concentrates on surviving so that reconciliation remains possible. Qian Renxue eventually withdraws the attack; Yang Jian supplies a pill that heals her injuries. Bibi Dong takes her survival as evidence that her daughter never truly intended to kill her 92.

• Pink hair: Minghe’s transformation restores the hair color she had before cultivating her Martial Souls 72.
• Colder, nobler bearing: Her facial features change little during the transformation, but her beauty and presence become more striking 72.
• Red tournament attire: Appears in a bright red dress with the Nine-Colored Gauze draped over her shoulders, arriving against Hong Lian’s blood-red radiance 79.

Personality

Bibi Dong is politically calculating and quick to recognize the value of powerful connections. She understands Princess Iron Fan’s interest in securing a divine appointment for Red Boy, avoids promising influence she does not yet possess, and later uses a public introduction to make Qian Renxue acknowledge their connection 71 81.

Proud and sensitive about her former attachment to Yu Xiaogang, she treats that relationship as a dark chapter she wants erased. Liu Erlong can provoke her simply by suggesting that she still loves him, leading Bibi Dong to challenge her in anger 80 87.

Her growing affection for Qian Renxue coexists with manipulation and concern for status. Yet during their battle, her wish to survive becomes inseparable from her hope of reconciliation. Afterward, she stops Princess Iron Fan from confronting Qian Renxue and accepts responsibility for having wronged her daughter 91 92.

Minghe grants Bibi Dong the Sea of Blood’s orthodox cultivation method and alters her innate foundation to that of an Asura 72.

Bibi Dong combines defensive treasures, misdirection, and sudden close-range attacks rather than relying solely on overwhelming force 89.

• Against Di Tian, she withstands his assault, briefly controls him with the Nine-Colored Gauze, and closes in with her thorn weapon. Qian Daoliu judges her combat intelligence superior to his 89.
• Against Ning Rongrong, she expands Hong Lian inside the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda and shatters it from within 90.
