The continents are the four largest surviving landmasses of the original Primordial World 46.

• Thirty-Three Heavens — Contains the Heavenly Court's brilliant palaces, including Lingxiao Palace, where Li Xuanji handles divine affairs 2.
• Four Seas — Includes the West Sea and its Dragon Palace, one of the Four Great Dragon Palaces 46.
• Moon — Home to Chang'e and Jade Rabbit. Chang'e can alter the Essence of the Moon allocated to cultivators below 9 10.

History

Creation and the Ancient Clans

Pangu's division of heaven and earth created the Primordial World. Fragments separated during that event later contributed to the formation of other worlds 2.

In the ancient era, the Dragon, Qilin, and Phoenix Clans competed for supremacy. Ancestral Dragon gathered his clan's fortune and attained Primordial Origin Golden Immortal; the other two clans' leaders reached the same realm. Their subsequent war devastated the land and killed countless living beings 45.

Creation of Humanity

Nüwa traveled the Primordial World for ninety-seven thousand years before creating humanity to complete it. Earth Granny identifies Three Lights Divine Water and Xirang as the materials used to mold the first three thousand Innate Humans. Humanity throughout the Myriad Heavens and Realms traces its roots to this creation 23 42.

Nüwa established the Human Dao and received boundless Xuanhuang Merit. She then forbade other races from disturbing humanity for one primordial assembly, allowing the new race to flourish. Qian Renxue and Di Tian later witness this ancient event, and Nüwa notices Qian Renxue across time 42.

Nüwa also repaired holes torn in the sky during an ancient war by refining stones to mend the heavens 24.

Shattering of the Original World

During the Investiture of the Gods, the Sages' battle shattered the original continuous landmass. Ao Cunxin explains that Tongtian deployed the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation against four Sages, with all seven Sages present at the confrontation 2 46.

The Great Heavenly Venerable and Nüwa intervened to stop further destruction. The largest remnants became the Four Great Continents; smaller fragments formed countless lesser worlds. Those fragments, together with remnants from Pangu's original creation, account for the numerous worlds associated with the Primordial World 2 46.

Government and Divine Order

Heavenly Court

• Great Heavenly Venerable Li Xuanji oversees matters ranging from disputes among powerful cultivators of the Sages' sects to rainfall in the mortal world. His three corpses and the Four Imperial Lords assist him; Haotian and Yaochi are among those lords 2.
• Thousand-Mile Eye and Wind-Following Ear gather information and report to the court. They also monitor Yu Xiaogang's conduct before and after his arrival 2 12 66.
• Local gods administer defined territories. Earth Granny oversees Qingshui Village, while the Jianyang City God commands Underworld Constables and spirit soldiers 6 19.
• Divine appointments are ranked. Qian Renxue is offered a Ninth-Rank village Earth God post before accepting an Eighth-Rank appointment at Flower-Fruit Mountain, carrying Mountain God duties 22.
• Official cultivation methods are restricted. Earth Granny cannot teach the Heavenly Court's official deity method to an outsider, so she gives Qian Renxue a separately acquired art 12.
• Natural resources fall under divine authority. Chang'e reduces Nine Demon Cave's Essence of the Moon by seventy percent for one hundred years, while Di Tian is punished for bringing rain without authorization 9 50.

• Sages and their sects — Seven Sages exist. Named powers include the Three Pure Ones, Nüwa, and the Western Religion's two Sages 45 46 73.
• Dragon Clan — Its authority includes the Four Great Dragon Palaces and True Dragon officials overseeing rivers and even wells 45 46.
• Buddhism — Connected to the earlier Western Religion; Nalanda Temple grants Ma Hongjun access to cultivation after a period of work 18 73.
• Demon communities — Include Nine Demon Cave and Bai Ze Ridge. Their inhabitants recognize and fear the Heavenly Court's authority 9 70.

Cultivation Rules

• Spiritual Qi replaces Soul Power cultivation. Practitioners absorb the qi of heaven and earth without needing to hunt Demon Beasts. Cultivation speed depends on both qi concentration and the quality of the method 13.
• Existing power can be converted. Earth Granny's orthodox method allows practitioners from other worlds to transfer their accumulated power into Primordial World cultivation 13.
• Conversion can remove foreign bodily additions. Qian Renxue's absorbed Soul Bones are expelled, while her original Soul Rings and Soul Skills disappear 13 14.
• Douluo initially lacks sufficient Spiritual Qi. Qian Daoliu and Ning Fengzhi conclude that people remaining there cannot yet practice the Qi Refining Method effectively 16.
• Divine office is distinct from cultivation realm. Earth Granny is an official deity while still in the first mortal realm 11.
• Immortal combat emphasizes divine abilities. Most immortals pursue supernatural techniques, while exceptional close-combat martial skill is comparatively rare 28.

Fusion with Douluo Star

Advance Ascension

• Purpose — The Douluo Star Will sends selected inhabitants ahead so that life on Douluo can adapt before the full return. Their experiences are broadcast continent-wide through a heavenly light screen 1 2.
• Batch size — Four people can ascend at a time 1 63.
• Native response — Self-initiated mergers by lesser worlds are common enough that Douluo's arrival attracts little attention in Lingxiao Palace 2.
• Time difference — The Star Will warns that time may flow differently during fusion. At one documented point, a month on Douluo corresponds to nearly one hundred days in the Primordial World 2 34.
• Later coordination — As fusion progresses, the Star Will can contact Qian Renxue within the Primordial World and coordinate ascension arrangements with her 62.

Major Consequences

• Douluo's power hierarchy is overturned. Tai Tan's death at the hands of ordinary bandits, despite becoming a god after arrival, demonstrates that Douluo-style godhood does not ensure safety 3 5.
• Native patronage reshapes alliances. Qian Renxue's divine appointment, Di Tian's ties to the West Sea Dragon Clan, and Ning Rongrong's adoption by Li Jing give Douluo factions new sources of protection 22 46 50 84.
• Death can create a new path. Zhu Zhuqing awakens in the Underworld as a Three-Eyed Nether Cat and cultivates while assisting with departed souls 52.
• The Soul Master Tournament reunites ascenders. Qian Renxue organizes the event at Five Finger Mountain to entertain Nüwa, borrowing Sun Wukong's cudgel to prepare the arena. The competition brings together ascenders, native patrons, and Heavenly Court observers 62 63 76 78 80 84.
