Background and History

Human Life and Reincarnation

Xiluo was an ordinary young man on Blue Star. At eighteen, a drunk driver struck his family’s car, killing his parents and leaving both his legs disabled. Before his reincarnation, he received an official announcement that the Blue Star Alliance had contacted otherworldly deities and would sell Astral Realm Helmets allowing citizens to visit their world. He initially dismissed the message as a scam 1.

He subsequently awakened as a Blue Dragon hatchling. By the opening chapter, he had spent three years becoming accustomed to his dragon body and could view virtual status information 1.

Green Forest

Xiluo distinguished himself from the other hatchlings through restraint, intelligence, and an interest in spellcasting. Barbara regarded him favorably because he avoided needless provocation and knew when to stop fighting 5.

He won Green Forest’s hatchling competition by using Lightning Flash in the final race. Barbara defended the spell’s legality, paid him five gold coins from their wager, and promised to introduce him to the Dragon Matriarch. His victory and first wealth earned twenty achievement points 10.

Bloodline refinement became a second route to power alongside his innate talents. He later sold access to the technique to the other wyrmlings for thirty pooled gold coins. With Gordon and Allen, he also began raising Ground Luo Beasts to secure a sustainable food supply 29 43.

As Green Forest’s war against elves and Metal Dragons worsened, Xiluo recognized the danger but feared punishment if he deserted. He eventually established himself in the Tate Mountain Range, where he gathered followers and continued refining his bloodlines 67 85.

Rise in Niro City

Xiluo’s early followers included Tīgǔ and her Hyena-People. Through them, he encountered Alice, a human–Merfolk hybrid spellcaster. Initially treating her as property, he later recognized that helping her claim her father’s territory could give him legitimate standing, subjects, and resources within Gerlo 79 81 83 96.

After Alice became lord, Xiluo served as Niro City’s Guardian Dragon and her right hand. Their relationship became intimate, and Alice publicly announced that she was carrying his child. Their first child was born a dragonkin with a dragon’s head, humanoid body, scales, and small wings 110 113 191 242.

The Xikalei Family targeted him over the Twelve Royal Rings. He survived an assassination attempt, killing a Level 17 Paladin and a Holy Warrior, then defeated the invading army through speed, selective engagements, and overwhelming elemental attacks 254 258 260 261.

Dragonkind Tournament and Legendary Breakthrough

At the Dragonkind Tournament, Xiluo used his ability to inspect competitors to identify underestimated dragons and profit from wagers. He also recruited dragons willing to follow his rules 376 394.

His growing fortune attracted dangerous attention, so he redirected it into trade, paying premiums for valuable goods. Consuming those materials transformed his body, completed his Extreme Thunder Overlord Dragon bloodline, and changed his classification from mutated to aberrant dragon 394 400.

He became Legendary during the tournament and won the championship. Afterward, he returned toward Niro City with twenty-five recruits and a new long-term objective: defeating an ancient dragon in the Dragon Soul Arena to obtain its Ancestral Transformation Technique 405 409 413.

World Tree Alliance and Imperial Growth

Xiluo strengthened Niro City’s alliance with the Nature Elves. His performance in their Trial Grounds demonstrated his strategic value, while his obligations as Gerlo’s Dragon Guardian of the Realm drew him into the aftermath of Sista’s destruction 441 443 450 451.

He secretly became the Tolian Magic Empire’s inheritor. Although apparently eliminated from the final trial, he learned that the first two trials had already established his succession and that the last had been designed to mislead the other contestants 475.

During the conflict with the Gods’ Allied Army, Xiluo helped organize the defense of the World Tree’s offshoots. He prioritized the Nature Elves and World Tree alliance even when doing so created friction with the Goddess of Wealth’s church 548.

His forces eventually developed into the Holy Xiluo Empire, a power with numerous Legendary and Demigod followers. Despite planning to seize Divine Blood, he waited a thousand years to strengthen both himself and the empire before confronting a god 596.

Ancient Dragon and Disappearance

Xiluo defeated Mara the Hunting God, escaped the Divine Kingdom with Divine Blood, and became an Ancient Dragon. Over the following millennia, his empire fought Gods and Ancient Titans. A prolonged war ended with him signing a treaty prohibiting attacks on those beings 603.

After reaching his growth limit, he absorbed the mysterious skeleton within the Mystery Sea and vanished. The empire eventually fragmented, with Gordon, Allen, and Xiluo’s children establishing separate kingdoms. A colossal dragon resembling Xiluo later suppressed the Star-Swallowing Titan, enabling the surviving good Gods and dragons to win their war 603.

Appearance

• Original dragon form: Azure scales and azure slit pupils; his appearance becomes increasingly altered by bloodline refinement 1 64.

Personality

Xiluo is ambitious, pragmatic, and intensely focused on becoming stronger. He refuses to rely exclusively on his achievement-based advantages, pursuing bloodline refinement, magical study, and expensive materials whenever they offer worthwhile gains. He originally favors becoming a spellcaster over relying on physical strength alone 11 29 145.

His outward courtesy often conceals calculation. He uses flattery, deception, bargains, and carefully managed generosity to secure allies and resources. His support for Alice’s political ambitions is explicitly tied to the benefits of having a friendly—or controllable—territorial lord 5 38 96 221.

He is cautious about battles whose risks he cannot assess, favoring escape routes, distance, and selective targets over unnecessary duels. This restraint does not make him merciful: he enjoys slaughtering invading soldiers, and his anger at Abel’s crimes centers on disobedience and political exposure rather than the victims 258 260 349 417.

His concern for companions coexists with possessiveness and authority. He apologizes after fel corruption drives him to brutalize Gordon, accepts Gordon’s decision to seek power independently, and later urges his dragons to prioritize survival. He does not demand that his children surpass him, considering a happy life without needless trouble sufficient 105 215 458 548.
