Uchiha Gen revealed his extraordinary strength, graduated from the Academy, and joined Team 8 under Shibi Aburame. The team began its first mission by attacking a bandit stronghold, where they faced the A-rank Onmyoji Jigumi and his undead samurai.

• Kakashi Hatake set a graduation record, while Uchiha Gen questioned the unusual exam and reflected on the strange abilities he had witnessed since arriving in the shinobi world.
• Uchiha Gen trained his powers through check-ins, excelled in Academy assessments, and defeated Asuma Sarutobi in combat class before becoming Kakashi Hatake's rival in a fight.
• Uchiha Gen overcame Kakashi's sword techniques and Chidori with Susanoo armor reinforced by Armament Haki, then gained the Uchiha clan's support and protection.
• Uchiha Gen passed the forest graduation exam first, and Shibi Aburame formed Team 8 with Gen, Asuma Sarutobi, and Kurenai Yuhi.

Uchiha Gen completed dangerous missions, including exposing a Jashin Cult follower, before the disappearance of the Third Kazekage helped ignite a multi-front war. As Konoha’s forces moved toward the Land of Grass to investigate a jinchūriki, Gen traveled separately with Shibi Aburame and Minato Namikaze’s forces.

• Uchiha Gen defeated Jigumi, and Shibi Aburame destroyed the ritual array that had affected Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yuhi.
• Uchiha Gen sparred with Maruboshi Kosuke before joining him and Shibi Aburame on a mission to investigate the deaths of Konoha ninja and the disappearance of children.
• Uchiha Gen defeated Heizhi in Chuntai City while Maruboshi Kosuke’s team rescued the children, and Hiruzen Sarutobi later sealed the mission records.
• Sasori poisoned and killed the Third Kazekage, sealed his body in a scroll, and left Sunagakure as a missing-nin.
• After Kumogakure attacked Sunagakure, Rasa halted the assault and became the Fourth Kazekage, while Konoha, Sunagakure, Iwagakure, and Kirigakure moved into war.

Uchiha Gen helped Minato Namikaze destroy Iwagakure’s underground route and kill Roshi, while Tsunade returned to the war and Sunagakure attacked Konoha’s supplies. Back in Konoha, Gen learned of Uchiha Fugaku’s visions and trained with Hatake Sakumo, who revealed the power of sword force.

• Tsunade entered Sage Mode in Shikkotsu Forest, learned that war had broken out, and set out for Konoha as Minato Namikaze brought Team 8 back from the Land of Grass.
• Minato Namikaze, Shibi Aburame, and Uchiha Gen infiltrated Iwagakure’s lines, uncovered its plan to attack Konoha through underground tunnels, and collapsed the route with Explosive Tags.
• The team fought Roshi and the Four-Tails, with Uchiha Gen killing Roshi after Minato Namikaze’s Flying Thunder God Technique saved them from the collapsing lava dimension.
• Ōnoki learned that Roshi had died and the Four-Tails had escaped, while Hiruzen Sarutobi considered but rejected assassinating Uchiha Gen.
• Sunagakure sent Ebizo’s Suicide Squad to attack Konoha’s supply convoy, but Might Duy defeated Ebizo before Minato Namikaze arrived and killed the remaining attackers.
• Uchiha Gen returned to Konoha, where Hatake Sakumo discussed leaving the ninja life and later trained with him in swordsmanship.
• Uchiha Fugaku used his Mangekyō Sharingan to show Uchiha Gen visions of the Uchiha Clan’s destruction and warned Minato Namikaze that Gen’s future had become difficult to see.

Uchiha Gen awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan, survived Ōnoki’s attack, and was sent to the Kirigakure front, where he uncovered a plot involving possessed Kaguya clansmen and the resurrection of their master. The Seven Monsters were defeated, but Black Zetsu helped release Arakuro, who turned the Onmyoji into his subordinates.

• Uchiha Gen awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan and used its powers to defeat Ōnoki’s Rock Clone, driving Ōnoki to fear that Madara Uchiha had returned.
• Madara Uchiha learned of Gen’s new eyes, while Shimura Danzō persuaded Hiruzen Sarutobi to transfer Gen to the Kirigakure front so he could target him.
• Uchiha Gen, Obito Uchiha, and Uchiha Ganghuo fought Kirigakure scouts, while Tobirama Senju met Black Zetsu and learned that Hashirama Senju had sealed himself on the moon.
• The Seven Monsters killed Kaguya clansmen, took over their bodies, and planned to provoke a battle between Kirigakure and Konoha.
• Uchiha Gen fought the Kirigakure forces, saw a vision of a life-draining figure, and attacked Tobirama Senju, burning his body away before Tobirama regenerated.
• Uchiha Gen trapped a Kaguya clansman in Izanami and exposed the Seven Monsters’ possession scheme through his Naruson Domain.
• Uchiha Gen killed Blood Child as Black Rope and three other possessed clansmen destroyed themselves, while Poisonous Woman died from poison.
