The Tarnished helped Sellen and Radahn’s allies defeat Asmodeus, then pursued Ranni and Trina’s quests as Miquella’s plans unfolded. After Godwyn rewrote the rules of the contest and disappeared, Horace set a new trial in motion, leaving the Tarnished to continue through Dragonbarrow and meet Jergal again.

• The Tarnished rebuilt Daphne, freed Sellen from her amber prison, and helped Sellen enter Caelid’s Canyon to confront Radahn and Asmodeus.
• The Tarnished and Sellen defeated Asmodeus with Millicent and Ogha, ending the Lion’s Flame and gaining the Vow of Vengeance.
• The Tarnished explored Caria Manor, met Ranni in her tower, and obtained the Godskin Prayerbook and Dark Moon Ring, inadvertently skipping much of her questline.
• The Tarnished followed Trina’s hidden quest, heard her warn that Miquella planned to remake reality, and agreed to unleash the storm against him.
• Miquella used a loophole in the Thousand-Year Contest to help Godwyn claim victory, and Godwyn faced the Elden Beast before changing the Law and escaping.
• Horace trapped Miquella, forbade him from acting in reality until the next millennium, and called for a rebellious hero to follow the light.
• The Tarnished killed Greyoll, a Crucible Knight, and an Ancient Dragon in Dragonbarrow, then met Jergal, who questioned the Tarnished’s actions and cursed the king’s eldest son.

The player defeated Godwyn, helped Tracker become a king and defeat Midra, and forged an alliance with Ranni before uncovering exploitation and corruption across Altus and Leyndell. After Shabriri unleashed the Frenzied Flame in Abundance Forest, Morgott revealed its hold on him and asked the player to change the world.

• The player defeated Godwyn and Gransax, then persuaded Gurranq to give them Miquella's Master Key, but Dragon Lord Placidusax sent them away.
• The player helped Tracker retrieve Caliburn, find the will to wield power, defeat Midra, and complete his mission against despair.
• The player followed Sellen's plans through Nokstella, defeated Nahema, and encountered Yera, who offered to support them as a god.
• The player rejected Yera's offer, married Ranni by exchanging rings, and agreed to serve as her Prince Consort in return for the Dark Moon Greatsword.
• The player uncovered Hassan's exploitation of workers and watched Godrick kill Godfrey before grafting his head onto his own arm.
• The player joined Margit's cause against the Grace King and discovered that the Abundance Forest factory processed living creatures and exploited Golden Ones.
• Shabriri tried to make the player accept the Frenzied Flame, but Tracker intervened and helped Margit seal Abundance Forest.
• Shabriri infected Margit with the Frenzied Flame, and after the player and Tracker defeated him, Morgott revealed that the flame had spread to his true body and broke the seal over Abundance Forest.
