Background / History
Demon Tribe Sovereign
Before reincarnating, Fuxi was the Xi Sovereign of the Demon Tribe, one of its three Sovereigns alongside Demon Emperor Di Jun, Eastern Emperor Taiyi, and Nuwa. He was already Nuwa's elder brother and a peak Quasi-Saint who had severed the Three Corpses. 38 57 59
Nuwa repeatedly urged him to withdraw from the Witch–Demon conflict, but Fuxi refused to abandon the Demon Tribe after pledging himself to Di Jun and Taiyi. He remained through the crisis because he considered his word inviolable, ultimately perishing in the Witch–Demon War. 56 58 139
Rebirth among Humanity
Fuxi reincarnated into the Leiyun Tribe of the Huaxu Clan as Hua's son. His twelve-year gestation passed with only minor celestial signs, and his birth initially drew little notice outside the tribe. 115
He was exceptionally precocious: he could converse at one year old, reasoned like an adult by three, and spent his childhood observing fishing, hunting, the land, and the habits of his tribespeople rather than playing with other children. 115
Hua later gave birth to his younger sister, Lishan. Unknown to most of humanity, Lishan was an incarnation of Nuwa's good corpse; she was deeply attached to Fuxi from infancy. Hua died soon afterward, leaving Fuxi grief-stricken until he eventually resumed his growth and studies. 119 121 122
Rise as a Human Leader
At ten, Fuxi invented fishing nets and received Heavenly Dao Merit. He subsequently improved bows and arrows, devised traps, and created instruments and musical forms that spread throughout humanity. These achievements brought him enormous prestige and made him an Elder despite his youth. 117 123 126 127
After completing the Eight Trigrams and creating a new Innate Dao Script, Fuxi entered twelve years of enlightenment. He emerged with the Taihao Fuxi Cultivation Method and reached Golden Immortal in a single year. 129 131
Fuxi was later confirmed as humanity's fifty-first Grand Elder. He chose to inspect all twenty-four human domains, study their needs firsthand, and lecture on the Dao of the Eight Trigrams at Central Phoenix Mountain. 135 136 137
Human King and Heavenly Emperor
Fuxi's innovations and the I Ching eventually gathered more than sixty percent of Humanity's Destiny upon him. The Grand Elders therefore named him Co-Lord of Humanity, establishing the rule that a person holding at least half of Humanity's Destiny could become its ruler. 141 144
As Human King, he established marriage rules, surnames, and a system of great cities centered on Taihao City. At his formal enthronement, he swore to protect humanity's peace and prosperity, accepting that any human could depose or kill him should he fail. 143 155 160
To secure humanity's continued place as the protagonist of heaven and earth, Fuxi accepted the Heavenly Dao's arrangement: he would reside in Fire Cloud Cave and suppress Humanity's Destiny. He transferred most of his gathered destiny to Shaodian, received one-eighth of the Hongmeng Purple Qi, and became humanity's Heavenly Emperor and first Half-Saint. 177 182 183
Personality
Fuxi is defined by duty and loyalty. As Xi Sovereign, he remained with the Demon Tribe despite Nuwa's warnings because he would not break his promise to Di Jun and Taiyi. 56 58 139
He remains notably humble despite his merit, cultivation, and prestige. He initially considered himself unworthy of becoming Grand Elder, continued calling humanity's older founders “Ancestors,” and insisted that their contributions outweighed his own. 132 136 181
His leadership is practical and compassionate. Rather than governing from a distance, he traveled through humanity's territories, identified problems in kinship, social order, disaster prevention, and urban development, then proposed solutions intended to improve ordinary human life. 136 140 143 154
