Shane led the Dragon Emperor Pirates to seize Hachinosu from Wang Zhi, then faced a Marine and Holy Knight assault after defeating him. The arc left Shane and his allies fighting to hold the island against overwhelming forces.

• Shane and Saint Garling nearly killed each other before Shane's allies rescued him, and Garling died as the crew escaped God Valley.
• Shane recovered aboard the Black Pearl, partnered with Stussy to rebuild the Seagull Laboratory, and organized plans to expand his forces.
• Shane arrived at Hachinosu and declared himself the sole inheritor of Rocks's will, challenging Wang Zhi for control of the island.
• Shane shattered Wang Zhi's giant hand and led the Dragon Emperor Pirates through Hachinosu, while Wang Zhi triggered a tsunami and Shane turned it back.

Shane defeated Saint Kelin, claimed Hachinosu, and awakened his Munch-Munch Fruit while fighting Golden Lion Shiki. After building the Dragon Emperor Grand Fleet and recruiting Fujitora Issho, he reached Zou and began a fierce clash with Linlin.

• Shane killed Saint Kelin, lifted Hachinosu with his allies, and refused the Marines’ demand to surrender.
• Shane rejected Golden Lion Shiki’s demand to submit, declared the Dragon Emperor Grand Fleet, and fought Shiki until his awakened Munch-Munch Fruit let him devour and synthesize the island.
• Shane and Shiki ended their battle without a victor, and Shane claimed Hachinosu as the Dragon Emperor Pirates’ territory while organizing new crews and giving Kaido Zoan Devil Fruits.
• Shane’s bounty rose to 2.248 billion Beli as Morgans reported his rise, and Shane began expanding the fleet and Seagull Laboratory while planning to reach Zou’s Poneglyph.
• Shane sailed for Future Island, recruited Issho by giving him the Press-Press Fruit and the name Fujitora Issho, then continued toward Zou with Ivankov.
• Kaido fought Linlin while Shane sailed toward Zou, and Zunesha arrived as the battle between the Beasts Pirates and Big Mom Pirates continued.

Shane defeated Linlin, secured her alliance, and led the Dragon Emperor Pirates to Wano, where he arrived too late to save Kozuki Oden. As the armies converged, Shane began a brutal duel with Golden Lion Shiki and pushed his Haki and body toward a new form of strength.

• Shane defeated Linlin after a day-long battle, and Katakuri led the surviving Big Mom Pirates in retreat.
• Shane traveled to Zou, gathered the Road Poneglyph rubbing, and secured Linlin’s oath to join his alliance against Golden Lion.
• Shane reached Wano as Kozuki Oden fought Shiki, and Oden died after entrusting Wano to Shane.
• Shane killed Kurozumi Kanjuro and Kurozumi Orochi, then led his forces toward the Sky Islands to confront Shiki.
• Shane and Shiki began their duel, trading attacks as fleets and reinforcements arrived in Wano.
