Background / History

Qi Yuan is a newcomer from another life who takes over the body of a withdrawn high-school senior. He retains the original owner’s memories and recognizes the ninja figures behind this world’s inheritances from his previous-life knowledge 2 3 5.

The original Qi Yuan’s parents died ten years earlier while defending against Demon Beasts. They left him a courtyard house, death benefits, and a Secret Realm entry opportunity that could have allowed him to become a ninja. The Yang Family seized that opportunity and gave it to Yang Tianbao, who later became the family’s protector 2 3 4 9.

Yan Gang, his father’s former comrade, helped care for him after his parents’ deaths. Despite that support, the original owner became isolated, performed poorly at school, and endured repeated robbery, insults, and beatings from classmates. After taking over, Qi Yuan accepts responsibility for the original owner’s grievances and resolves to settle the debt with the Yang Family 2 3 4.

His father, Qi Hong, also practiced the Eight Gates. Qi Yuan concludes that his father probably opened the eighth gate to confront a Quasi-King Beast despite possessing only Level Four strength, sacrificing his life in the process 27.

Personality

Qi Yuan is outspoken, confrontational, and contemptuous of intimidation. He answers Zhou Tong’s humiliation with mockery, refuses to tolerate insults against his parents, and treats threats from influential families as opportunities to fight back rather than reasons to submit 3 7 35.

He is ruthless toward enemies who threaten his life. After killing the Yang Family’s assassins, he immediately seeks out their organizer instead of waiting for another attack. He later kills Qin Gan after exposing his conspiracy and threat against Yan Gang’s household 9 10 27.

His confidence is tempered by practical concern for his body. During the Martial Trial, he postpones a possible Mangekyō upgrade and strengthens his physical and mental foundations instead. He also recognizes that receiving Madara’s inheritance does not mean obtaining all of its power at once 20 33.

He remembers kindness and protects those who offer it. He appreciates Teacher Geng’s intervention, shares Chakra Crystals equally with Geng PePe Waccabrada, and ultimately accepts responsibility for Yu Province because Yan Gang and others have made it feel like home 7 33 50.

Abilities & Skills

Infinite Enhancement System

The system converts acts of dominance and victories into Enhancement Points, which Qi Yuan spends on attributes and techniques 2 3.

  • Attribute enhancement: Raises chakra affinity, body energy, and mental energy 2 33.
  • Accelerated training: Improves techniques such as the Eight Gates without requiring conventional years of physical training 2.
  • Multiple reward triggers: Physical victories, verbal confrontations, and overwhelming others through his displayed potential can all generate points 3 8 20.
  • Bonus rewards: Rapid point accumulation can grant additional points or techniques, including Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Technique, Mystical Palm Technique, and Seven-Day Breathing Method 3 8 10 35.
  • Limits: Repeatedly beating the same bullies does not repeatedly trigger rewards. Easy opponents also become less profitable; Level Two Demon Beasts eventually yield only one point each 2 42.

Six Paths Madara Inheritance

Qi Yuan obtains this inheritance on the Inheritance Tower’s ninth floor. It strengthens his body, supplies chakra and memories, and progressively grants Madara’s ninja experience 19 20 42.

  • Immediately raises his normal strength from peak Level Two to peak Level Four 20.
  • Helps him withstand the Sharingan’s bodily strain alongside his Eight Gates training 20.
  • Gradually supplies Fire Release experience, sensory skills, and information about higher ocular stages 20 42.
  • Enables his Sharingan to evolve directly into the Eternal Mangekyō through system enhancement 44.
  • Limit: The inheritance unlocks in portions. Qi Yuan has not demonstrated Madara’s full Six Paths powers or awakened his own Rinnegan in the supplied chapters 20 50.

Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan

His inheritance initially produces a Three-Tomoe Sharingan, which he later enhances into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan 20 44.

  • Left eye: Passively reduces chakra consumption and supports ninjutsu beyond ordinary performance 44.
  • Right eye: Passively increases his chakra, providing an additional 50 percent while the Mangekyō is active 44.
  • Perception: Its awakening noticeably strengthens his awareness of danger 46.
  • Blindness protection: The Eternal Mangekyō removes the ordinary risk of losing his sight through Mangekyō use 44.
  • Earlier limitations: Frequent Three-Tomoe use initially strains his body. His Three-Tomoe Sharingan also cannot see clearly through Android 17’s Hidden Mist Technique 20 43.

Susanoo

An offensive and defensive technique unlocked with his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan 44.

  • Crushes Zhao Hua’s Shapeshifting Technique Body 48.
  • Shields him from Gu Huan’s attacks, including an attempted Cursed Seal bite blocked by a blue Susanoo arm 48.
  • After awakening it, Qi Yuan estimates that he should be capable of using at least its second stage 44.

Eight Gates of Limitless and Taijutsu

Also called the Eight Gates technique, this S-rank forbidden art releases bodily restrictions to increase Qi Yuan’s strength, speed, and chakra 2 20.

  • Known techniques: Konoha Whirlwind and Reverse Lotus 10 43.
  • Barrier breaking: The fourth gate supplies enough force to shatter the Four Violet Flames Formation 34.
  • Close-range pressure: His speed prevents opponents from completing hand seals, including Android 17’s Water Prison Technique 43.
  • Combat reach: Before reaching Level Five himself, he defeats the peak-Grandmaster assassin Android 17 using enhanced taijutsu 43.
  • Limits: The third gate is the last relatively safe gate. Later gates push the body beyond its limits; his fight with Liu Tianjun leaves him exhausted and aching after using the fourth gate 2 26 44.

Seven-Day Breathing Method

An S-rank forbidden taijutsu method that revitalizes the body by rapidly absorbing large quantities of oxygen. Qi Yuan maximizes all three stages available to him 29 35.

  • Can be stacked with the Eight Gates for additional physical enhancement 35 43.
  • Combined with the first three gates, allows him to withstand Android 17’s Water Dragon Bullet Technique without injury or retreat 43.

Genjutsu

Qi Yuan uses Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Technique to restrain and interrogate opponents 8 9.

  • Extracts information about the Yang Family’s assassination plot from Yang Shiwu 9.
  • Forces Qin Gan to confess and verifies Sima Nan’s denial of involvement in an ambush 27 45.
  • Interrogates Gu Huan’s Shapeshifting Technique Body about his real body and Rinnegan 48.
  • Limit: Zhao Hua interrupts the genjutsu before the interrogation of Gu Huan is complete 48.

Medical Ninjutsu and Chakra Blade Edge

The system awards him Mystical Palm Technique after his attack on Yang San’s group 10.

  • Treats Xu Ying after rescuing her during the Martial Trial 35.
  • Applies his chakra control to form sharp hand-blades that cut apart Gu Huan’s snakes 46.
  • Spins with these blades to create a defensive screen that Gu Huan compares to the Bai family’s Rotation 46.

Other Ninjutsu and Combat Skills

  • Fire Release: Uses Great Fireball Technique and Great Fire Annihilation. Activating his Mangekyō greatly strengthens the latter against the Freemasons’ Shapeshifting Technique Bodies 26 47.
  • Substitution Technique: Evades Zhou Tong’s chakra-infused chalk and uses the technique again against Android 17 3 43.
  • Sensory ninjutsu: Gradually inherits limited sensory experience from Madara, allowing him to assess a Small Secret Realm’s size and inhabitants 42.
  • Sound tracking: Locates Android 17 through movement sounds when mist obstructs his vision 43.
  • Known gap: Lacks a Wind Release technique to disperse Android 17’s mist during their battle 43.
