They might not have been particularly powerful during their early growth, but they became very powerful later.
During the early growth of these top-tier beast Martial Souls, some of Blue Silver Grass's control and restriction skills could still barely restrain or affect them. But once those Martial Souls reached their later stages and fully developed, they became very powerful. Blue Silver Grass's weak skills became useless, and those early Soul Skills were all inherent to Blue Silver Grass anyway, making them utterly useless.
Those abilities could be used even without relying on Soul Skills. One could say that Yu Xiaogang had made Tang San absorb some completely useless skills that he could have used even without absorbing them. Yu Xiaogang was a complete good-for-nothing, a mediocre teacher-or rather, even more useless than a mediocre teacher.
