"That leaves only purely neutral powers like Quel'Thalas, Lordaeron, Aerie Peak, Stromgarde, and Kul Tiras. We neither want to join the Alliance nor wish to side with the Horde. Whether in the Second War or the Third War, all our factions have had conflicts with the Alliance and Horde to some degree. Weak and isolated as we are, once we join either side, it will only be a matter of time before they annex and assimilate us. Then we will have no choice but to follow them down that road to the bitter end."

Under Alleria's incredulous gaze, Patrick revealed his plan. "So I intend to unite these neutral powers."

Not only Alleria, but even the elves around them looked astonished.

Before Alleria could speak, Patrick continued, "Just like the Alliance of Lordaeron Terenas established before, we already have considerable dealings with Kul Tiras, Stromgarde, and the others. The political legacy of the Second War is still there, so why can't we establish a united neutral organization? That way, we will distinguish ourselves from the Alliance and Horde. Why must every political power in Azeroth side with the Alliance if it isn't with the Horde?"

"Was that why you brought Kul Tiras and Stromgarde into the Battle of Ahn'Qiraj?"

"Those alone aren't enough. Compared with the mighty Alliance and Horde, we're far too weak. We still need help from other powers."

Alleria knew Patrick all too well and immediately blurted out, "The blue dragons?"

Patrick smiled fondly. "You're only partly right."

"Any power with the same aims as us will be our best ally. In the future, neither the Alliance nor the Horde will be able to force us to take sides through political pressure. Of course, as a neutral organization, we need not be hostile toward either of them.
