Personality

Danzo is ruthless and calculating, judging people by their usefulness to Konoha as he understands it. He threatens to make the six-year-old Rìtiān disappear, but postpones killing him after seeing inventions that could strengthen Root. Even after accepting a business agreement, he keeps elimination available if the promised tools fail 24 25.

He uses village loyalty to pressure others. When Itachi hesitates to spy on his clansmen, Danzo insists that he is a Konoha ninja before an Uchiha and presents surveillance as protection for both the village and the clan. When his operatives are caught attacking Shisui, he denies responsibility and blames them for acting independently 33 39 40.

History

Surveillance and the Root Supply Deal

Root begins monitoring Rìtiān while he is still an Academy student. Danzo subsequently summons him, questioning his early Sharingan awakening, fighting ability, and Chakra Flashlight business. Rìtiān counters Danzo’s threats by offering specialized ninja tools in exchange for being left alone 22 23 24.

The proposed designs include a Chakra Smoke Bomb, Chakra Glider, and Chakra Listening Device. Danzo estimates that successful production could raise Root’s combat strength by at least thirty percent. He accepts Rìtiān’s conditions: Root will stop harassing him, accept his prices without haggling, and obtain difficult-to-source materials. Finished samples are due within a month, with consequences if they disappoint 25.

Military Police Force and Itachi’s Recruitment

Danzo presents his proposal for an Uchiha-staffed Military Police Force as a way to put the clan’s strength to use. Rìtiān interprets it as a scheme to isolate the Uchiha and place them in conflict with villagers. After the force is announced, Danzo gives Rìtiān its equipment order—an opportunity Rìtiān turns toward improving the clan’s public standing 30 31 32 34.

Danzo also recommends Itachi for ANBU and recruits him to monitor the clan. Rìtiān overhears the meeting and advises Itachi to report trivial matters while judging important information for himself. Once informed of the eavesdropping, Danzo orders Root to watch Rìtiān; reports of Akatsuki contact further increase his suspicions 32 33 36.

Attempts to Seize Shisui’s Eyes

Danzo’s men ambush and poison Shisui in an attempt to take his Kotoamatsukami eyes. Shisui escapes with both eyes intact, though the poison disrupts his chakra. Rìtiān shelters him and retaliates by secretly emptying Root’s warehouse of ninja tools, supplies, and food 38.

Hearing that Shisui is seriously injured, Danzo orders another attack and demands that he be captured alive. Rìtiān intercepts the order through a Listening Seal and prepares a trap. Four Root operatives are caught at Shisui’s residence before Fugaku and other Uchiha clan members 39.

Danzo denies ordering the operation and claims the operatives acted alone. Fugaku confronts him but lacks evidence tying him directly to the attack. Danzo, meanwhile, identifies Rìtiān as an obstacle and resolves to teach him a lesson 39 40.

Kotoamatsukami and the End of His Threat

Danzo later succeeds in taking Shisui’s right eye during another ambush. Before losing it, Shisui uses Kotoamatsukami to implant the will to protect Konoha in him. Shisui explains that this differs from Danzo’s existing justification: it makes him consider the village’s actual interests rather than his own ambitions 44.

After Rìtiān heals Shisui and regenerates his right eye, the two arrange to send Danzo Shisui’s left eye as well. Their stated offer exchanges the eye for the Uchiha Clan’s safety. Danzo suspects deception, but his desire to possess both eyes wins out 44.

The transplant floods his mind with commands to protect Konoha and sacrifice even himself if necessary. He expresses remorse for his past actions, and Rìtiān’s system confirms that Danzo’s threat has been permanently eliminated 44.

Relationships
