Beneath the brilliant starlight, every star was like a chess piece, a counting rod, calculating and deducing infinite, inexhaustible transformations. At times, mist rose; at times, layered peaks piled upon one another; at times, the starry sky stretched vast and boundless; at times, the universe became primordial wilderness. It trapped Ānanda Tathāgata, who could intercept all changes, all heavenly secrets, and all Great Daos, together with his Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Ānanda Tathāgata, whose face had always been filled with bitterness, suddenly extended his other hand and caught a fragrant lotus petal borne on the wind. Gazing at that petal, a hint of a smile unexpectedly appeared on his face. It was as sincere as an infant's smile, carrying an indescribable true meaning of the Buddhist Sect.
"Where there is birth, there is death; where there is constancy, there is also inconstancy. In the Void Universe, among the Three Thousand Great Daos, among worlds and living beings as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, none can escape this fate. All beings suffer greatly. Without proving oneself Tathagata, one cannot attain bodhi, nor enjoy Pure Bliss."
His voice was ancient and desolate. As the lotus petal slowly drifted down, Ānanda Tathāgata smiled and formed the Ten Directions Original Vow Lapis Lazuli Light King Tathāgata Seal. At once, crystal-clear lapis lazuli radiance shone from within and without his body. Countless supreme Buddhist swastika characters surfaced within that light, while the intents of Great Bliss, Great Freedom, and Great Liberation seemed almost tangible.
The withered, lean, long hand he had extended to intercept the Great Dao also suddenly lit up with lapis lazuli radiance, revealing an intent of flawless roundness. With a gentle closing motion, it intercepted the entire River Diagram Myriad Phenomena Formation from the Void Universe.
