Radeus shouted to Rudeus, reaching out at the same time to grab Eris beside him.
Rudeus reacted too, instantly using Flight Magic to stop in midair with Rujierd.
"That scared the hell out of me!"
Rudeus drew a deep breath. That really had given him quite a fright.
"Get everyone up first! We can talk about the rest later!"
Radeus shouted to Rudeus, then flew upward with Betty and Eris, landing on the ground beside the hole.
Rudeus immediately brought Rujierd out as well.
"Holy shit, Rudeus, you jinx!"
Radeus opened his mouth and started cursing.
"No, that was purely beyond our control, wasn't it? How is that my fault?"
Rudeus hurriedly argued back.
He had no desire to take that kind of blame. If it really stuck, who knew what Rujierd and Eris would think of him?
"Stop arguing! Something's coming!"
Rujierd cut short their bickering and spoke urgently.
"What?!"
At that same moment, Radeus sensed movement from the enormous hole and immediately raised the Greed Staff-Sword.
"Get ready! Something's coming!"
Rudeus tightened his grip on the Pride Water Dragon King as well, his eyes fixed on the opening.
