"What do you think?"
Qin Feng stared straight at her, sizing her up without the slightest attempt to hide it.
Yan's smile stiffened for a moment.
She had seen countless kinds of looks directed at her-reverence, adoration, even fear.
But Qin Feng's gaze inexplicably made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.
Something she could not read churned in those eyes, as though he were scrutinizing prey.
She even involuntarily took half a step back.
"It's very rude to stare at an angel like that, you know."
Yan tried to dispel that subtle discomfort with a teasing tone.
Only then did Qin Feng withdraw his gaze, the corner of his mouth lifting.
"An angel wouldn't hide in the shadows and watch someone kill, either."
Yan blinked, quickly putting that moment of unease behind her.
"Let me introduce myself. I'm Yan, Queen Kaisa's Left-Wing Guardian."
"What's your name, kid?"
Yan found it rather ridiculous as she said those words.
How long had it been since she had taken the initiative to ask someone's name after acquiring the Eye of Insight?
After all, the dark plane held information on all primary life forms. A single scan with the Eye of Insight would instantly reveal their identities.
But that method had failed with Qin Feng and his group.
Blue Star's dark-plane information layer only recorded what Qin Feng and his group had experienced in the alley. It contained no introduction to their identities or origins whatsoever.
So she could only resort to the most primitive method.
"How dare you! Who gave you permission to address the king like that?"
Tara stepped forward, his burly, dark-red body blocking the space between Qin Feng and Yan like an iron wall that had suddenly risen from the ground.
His golden, slit-pupiled eyes looked down at Yan, holding an undisguised warning.
His right hand already hovered loosely around the hilt of the Dark Silver dagger. His stance was relaxed, yet he could lash out at any moment.
As far as he was concerned, what gave a mere angel guardian the right to speak to the king in such a flippant, casual tone?
Caught slightly off guard by this sudden development, Yan quickly swept her gaze over Tara.
Then her pupils contracted.
Only now did she realize that someone with a third generation divine body was actually accompanying Qin Feng.
Originally, she had thought Mingta was the strongest among Qin Feng's group.
Just a third generation Super Soldier, nothing more.
Although she was also a third generation Super Soldier, there were differences even within the third generation!
As an Angel Warrior who had served for more than seven thousand years, she was confident she could kill Mingta within ten moves!
After all, she had watched Mingta's fight with Sumari just now, and he really had not displayed any particularly impressive moves.
Had she been the one fighting, she could easily have seized Sumari's Dark Silver dagger.
Because when it came to computing power, even ten Sumaris combined would be no match for her!
But a third generation divine body was another matter entirely.
Even without the support of computing power, the energy reserves and recovery rate of his divine body alone would let him wear her down to exhaustion in a prolonged battle.
Not to mention, this big red fellow also had that freshly captured Dark Silver dagger!
Yan rapidly assessed the situation. The languid, casual smile on her face faded somewhat, replaced by just the right degree of solemnity.
She stepped back half a pace and inclined her head slightly. "I'm sorry. I didn't know he was the leader of your civilization. That was rude of me."
Tara stared at her for three seconds, let out a cold snort through his nose, and only then stepped aside to return behind Qin Feng.
Yan raised her eyes to Qin Feng again. Her tone was considerably more respectful than before, though it still held a trace of irrepressible curiosity.
"Then, would you please tell me your name, leader?"
Watching Yan's cautious manner, Qin Feng slowly curled his lips.
"I preferred your attitude just now."
"How about going back to that?"
Yan rolled her eyes.
If she went back to that casual, teasing attitude, she seriously suspected that big red fellow would charge over and fight her to the death without another word.
She might not lose in an outright fight, but she would have to be out of her mind to take a stab for no reason.
Yet the moment she saw Qin Feng's handsome face, she simply could not suppress that urge to flirt etched into her bones.
"Sure."
She stepped forward half a pace and folded her arms across her chest, her voice rising slightly at the end.
"But you'll have to keep your subordinate in check. I'm afraid he might do something irrational."
"You should know that getting hit by a Dark Silver weapon really hurts."
She paused, deliberately blinking.
"You wouldn't want a beautiful, delicate angel to get hurt, would you?"
"Heh."
Qin Feng chuckled. "If you're delicate, there probably aren't many people in this world who can fight."
"Hmph."
Yan snorted coldly and turned her face away, her long golden hair tracing a smooth arc through the air.
Watching her pretend to be angry when she was clearly amused, Qin Feng's smile deepened.
He straightened and walked toward Yan.
"Remember this."
He leaned down slightly, lowering his voice.
"My name is Qin Feng. Your future."
Yan's ears instantly flushed pink.
She whipped her head back around, her eyes wide. "Pah! My future? You really have no shame!"
After spitting that out, she found it somewhat funny herself.
A distinguished Left-Wing Guardian, a seven-thousand-year-old Angel Warrior, had actually been teased into blushing and a racing heart by a greenhorn's few words.
If word of this got back to the Angel Nebula, who knew how those young angels would tease her?
She quickly composed her expression, cleared her throat, and resumed her air of breezy nonchalance.
"Qin Feng, was it?"
Yan raised her chin. "I'll remember you."
"But if you want to be my future, we'll have to see what you're capable of!"
"Now, I have a question for you."
"You can choose not to answer, but if you tell me, I can help you unlock your wings and give you a true angel body!"
"This involves angel hormone, you know~"
"Don't you want to experience the beauty an angel has to offer, kid?"
Qin Feng admitted that Yan's temptation had stirred his interest.
After all, it would kill two birds with one stone.
Not only could he get intimate with a beauty, but he could also unlock his wings and become a prized aerial combatant.
Although he rarely needed to fight personally with Tara and the others around, there was no getting around how cool those things looked.
With a pair of wings spread behind him, never mind how much combat power they added-the visual effect alone would be off the charts.
"Ask away."
Qin Feng tilted his head, a smile playing on his lips. "I'm quite curious to hear what a beautiful angel like you wants to learn from me."
At his words, a glimmer of triumph flickered in Yan's eyes, but she maintained that languid, composed demeanor.
She moved forward half a pace, her golden eyes looking straight at Qin Feng.
"I want to know where your Galaxy Power gene came from."
"As far as I know, Du Kao and his people only planted one seed on Blue Star."
"Yours isn't in the records at all!"
