Background

Bibi Dong began as Spirit Hall's gifted Saintess, a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old Soul Saint with Twin Martial Souls. She trusted Qian Xunji as her teacher and loved Yu Xiaogang, but both relationships became sources of trauma and betrayal. 22 27 67

Qian Xunji drugged Bibi Dong and trapped her in a secret chamber to prevent her from leaving Spirit Hall with Yu Xiaogang. In despair, she prayed for rescue; a mysterious black notebook engulfed her in darkness and transported her away before Qian could keep her captive. 22

She awakened in Cang Lan's domain, where he purged the drug from her body without exploiting her vulnerability and granted her a personal palace. Viewing him as the divine being who saved her, Bibi Dong became deeply grateful and devoted, though her lingering attachment to Yu Xiaogang initially prevented her from fully opening her heart. 26 28

After learning through Cang Lan's diary that Yu Xiaogang had betrayed her and married his cousin, Bibi Dong abandoned her former hopes and resolved to kill Qian Xunji. She asked Cang Lan to accept her as his disciple after witnessing his overwhelming strength. 27 28 31
