Qin Tiexin left his family smithy to fight in the army, then resigned after the war and carried his craft into the cultivation lands. He joined the Flowing Cloud Sect, placed joint sixth in the newcomer combat assessment, and intensified his artifact refining and training for the next assessment.
Qin Tiexin rebuilt his cultivation, won the outer sect grand competition, and entered the Primordial Unity ruins to claim their inheritance. After killing Cao Mu and returning to Flowing Cloud Sect, he began combat training and searched for a ranged weapon that suited him.
Qin Tiexin reached Wind and Snow Pass, hunted devils, and explored the Iron Spine Sect Ruins with Duan Xuan. The ruins’ dead were buried, but a rune-covered arm awakened and pursued them, possibly the Ancient Witch Arm Ye Cang had sought.
Qin Tiexin survived a deadly blood pool, defended Wind and Snow Pass, and traveled to the Myriad Stars Dynasty to seek a cure for his arm and news of Lin Feng. After settling with the Lin Household and preparing for the Star Selection, he left to take its written exam while sheltering Ming'an and pursuing access to the imperial palace.
Qin Tiexin advanced from the Star Selection Trials into the Vast Waves Ancient Battlefield, where he fought Golden Summit Temple monks and explored an inheritance site with Lin Chuan’s group. After the team reached the forest near Pure Land Chan Temple, he followed the severed arm alone toward the temple while Lin Chuan and the others turned back to search for him.
Qin Tiexin explored the sealed Pure Land Chan Temple, gained Buddhist teachings, and defeated Devil Venerable Xuanli before escaping Xiao Wan with his companions' help. He then prepared for the trials, placed third in artifact refining, and advanced to face Jiang Cheng in the Arena Trial's top-sixteen round while Chengxin's lingering will awakened through Ming'an's bracelet.
Qin Tiexin uncovered the Bloodline Curse plot, reopened Zhaoming Temple, and set out for the Azure Xuan Region with Chen Xi. After Chen Xi died saving him from Xiao Wan’s ambush, Qin Tiexin killed Xiao Wan and was left wounded with Brahma Sound Valley cultivators closing in.
