Background & History

Qian Daoliu is the Great Enshrined who presides over Spirit Hall's Worship Hall and leads its Seven Great High Priests. At the beginning of Guang Yu's story, he permits Guang Yu to awaken his Martial Soul despite the deadly flaw affecting Guang Ling's lineage, provided Guang Ling first explains the risk to the child. 1

He is Qian Renxue's grandfather and the foremost protector of the Six-Winged Angel lineage. His lifelong ambition is to see a worthy successor inherit the Angel God's position, an achievement his clan had failed to attain for over ten thousand years. 25 27 111

In his youth, Qian Daoliu traveled to Sea God Island with Tang Chen. Both men fell in love with Bo Saixi, creating a long-standing emotional connection that later resurfaces when Spirit Hall clashes with Sea God Island. Tang Chen remains one of Qian Daoliu's defining rivals and peers. 131 180

Personality

Qian Daoliu is intensely protective of those he considers family. He treats Qian Renxue's safety and future as more important than Spirit Hall's Heaven Dou infiltration plan, personally recalling her once he believes she may inherit the Angel God. As a mentor, he is demanding rather than indulgent. He believes Soul Masters grow fastest under severe pressure, so he sets Guang Yu and Qian Renxue high-risk trials, strict deadlines, and intensive instruction from all Seven Great High Priests. 31 32
