"What?!" Peter suddenly changed his color, "You suspect that I am a spy?! Working for Hydra?! The same bastards who kidnapped my father and enslaved him for more than ten years?!"

Fury stared into his eyes. For a moment, Peter was really afraid that this old guy would do something stupid. But Fury suddenly sighed, "Sorry, I have to confirm."

Peter was slightly startled. "What do you mean?"

"I want to see if you lied."

"Can you tell lies just by looking at them?"

"I've always thought I'm a good judge of people."

"Really?" Peter drawled.

"Yes. Didn't I see earlier that you could do a good job Avengers?" Fury's mouth curled up slightly.

Peter spat "stinky old man". Fury suppressed his smile and said solemnly, "I don't think you are a spy, nor do I think any of the members of Avengers - What If...? are you worried. But..."

"You are not so sure about your own agents." Peter interfaced, feeling a chill in his heart, "Natasha... You don't think she--"

"No," Fury's answer made him feel relieved, "If there is any agent I can trust with my life without reservation, it's her."

"It's okay, okay. Because between the two of us, I probably can't beat her."

"Why?"

"She will beat me into a pig's head." Peter shuddered, "If I were wearing a uniform and carrying Silk-Shooter, I might still be able to fight. But in a pure fight? She would definitely win."

Fury groaned thoughtfully. The little complaint just now was obviously completely ignored by him. He turned to Peter: "I want you to pay attention to the situation around you. If Hydra is still active, its scale is bound to be far greater than before, and it is even more secretive. I can't find any clues to track them down, and you are openly threatening to drag them into the sun. Peter, watch your back."

Peter nodded. "Well... you don't have my secret identity in the file, do you?"

Fury's face darkened. "Save it." Peter took a breath. "But only I can access it."

"Where are your superiors? Those people on the council?"

"Them?" Fury paused, thought carefully and then nodded, "I'll delete it as soon as possible. It may not have much effect, but at least in case they haven't hacked into our server, you can have an extra layer of protection."

Peter sighed, "Thanks, Fury."

Fury nodded and stood up, suddenly as if remembering something. "Oh, I almost forgot." He took out a photo from his coat pocket and handed it over.

Peter took it curiously. In the photo, Jessica·Drew was smiling, looking much better than before. She was wearing the S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform, with no emblems or weapons on her shoulders. Turning to the back, there was a line of beautiful cursive characters: "Thank you for everything, you are my hero", and her name was signed underneath.

"She started training last week." Fury said with a smile, "She is capable enough to become a top agent, and... thanks to you, she is now focused on making a name for herself."

Peter chuckled, "I didn't expect that I could have such a big impact on people."

"Are you kidding?" Fury grinned, "Every day, agents whisper in my ears how inspiring you are - a young man who desperately wants to be a hero. You are a good boy, Peter, and an even better hero. Get used to being looked up to."

"Thank you--"Peter raised his head, only to find that he was already sitting on the bench alone. He stood up and looked around, and Fury seemed to have evaporated out of thin air.

Peter blinked. "Okay... this is really cool." He had to learn this skill.

The next day, school.

During lunch, Peter finally found Felicia, MJ and Liz sitting at the back of the restaurant chatting. He walked over with a smile, but immediately noticed a new face at the table - a blond boy with pale skin, who was looking at Felicia with a smile.

He doesn't like this guy.

"Hey, Little Tiger." Felicia saw him first, smiled and waved, "Long time no see!"

"Haha." Peter rolled his eyes, his gaze falling directly on the blond boy, "Who is this?"

"Hi," the young man put on a smile, "My name is Mark, Mark Laxton, nice to meet you!"

Peter has never heard of this name. It seems that he is not a future super villain. He said, "I am Peter." As he spoke, he stepped between Mark and Felicia and sat down calmly. "Nice to meet you, Mark." His eyes were piercing the other person's face coldly.

"Yes, yes, hello." Mark swallowed. Okay, I guess he knows what's going on.

"Some people are really jealous." Felicia chuckled.

"Two words: Jessica·Drew." Peter raised an eyebrow.

"Hey! It was you who caused it, not me!"

"You gave people a black eye."

"Then what?"

Peter smiled and turned to Mark: "How do you know each other?"

"Mark takes music class with us." Liz explained with a smile, "MJ and he started chatting in class, so we invited him to have lunch together."

"Really?" Peter grinned and looked at MJ, who tried hard not to blush. Wait, music class? Peter blinked. "Our school has music classes?"

"Yes, Peter," Liz rubbed his temples and sighed, "Not everyone needs to rely on advanced calculus to earn credits."

"Hey, my genius boyfriend is so smart!" Felicia hugged Peter tightly, "He is a special little baby!"

"Why do I sound like you are calling me mentally retarded?" Peter muttered.

"Wait, are you Peter·Parker?" Mark's voice was filled with surprise.

"Yeah, what?"

"Brother! You are a legend!" Mark exclaimed excitedly, "We have heard about it a long time ago! Last year Stark Expo you saved so many people! You even played with Fantastic Four! Even the people in my old school in the north know you!"

Peter was stunned and looked at the girls. "Am I so famous?"

"Yes," Felicia nodded, "Basically, because you don't take high school seriously at all, and you barely care about the people here, but in the end you become a god in their eyes."

"We didn't tell you because we were afraid that you would expand." Liz hummed, "Besides, can your head be even more expanded?"

"So... you really know Johnny Stone?" Mark's eyes shone.

Peter nodded. The next questions came like Avalanche, and he spent the rest of the lunch answering questions about Johnny and Fantastic Four. A total fanboy.

However, during this process, Peter discovered that Mark was flirting with MJ. MJ was ignored by him for a while, and he was obviously a little unhappy. After the hero worship session was over, this guy went back to chat with MJ for a few words, and then showed his attentiveness to Liz.

After lunch, Peter and Felicia went to the cafe they often go to. Felicia didn't choose physics this year and didn't need to take tutoring, but this place was perfect for a date.

The two ordered drinks, retracted into the back seat, and leaned against each other. Felicia took out his mobile phone and was scrolling through the official account of Spider-Man.

"You really should update more," she said.

Peter shrugged. "I use it as a public loudspeaker, Xiaomao. Warn everyone about the alien invasion and scold the annoying reporters."

"It would be much better if it were run properly." Felicia also shrugged, "Forget it. Peter... we have to talk."

Peter made a move, turned his head and said seriously, "You don't want to break up with me, do you?"

"What? No!" Felicia raised her head and laughed, "No, you idiot!" She held his face with both hands and stared into his eyes, "Look at me, Peter. I will not leave you, so don't prepare any depressive scenes, understand?"

Peter couldn't help but show off his face, leaned forward and kissed her lightly on the lips, then pulled her into his arms. "Then what do you want to talk about?"

Felicia took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "I... my father. I found a way to save him."

It was as if the whole world suddenly stopped. No matter what she was going to say, Peter never expected this. He stared at her suddenly. "What?"

"I... I found out where he was being held." She lowered her voice, her eyes shining brightly, "It's a facility in Texas. It can't be found on the map, but I found it." She smiled, "Peter, I found my dad."

"How did you find it? S.H.I.E.L.D. is not a local police station, they are the world's top intelligence agency. How could you possibly find it?"

"Someone help me." Felicia said softly, "An agent said he was an old acquaintance of my father. He found out where my father served."

"What's his name?"

"Rumlow, Brock·Rumlow."

As soon as that name appeared, a face immediately appeared in Peter's mind.

That is the man who killed Captain America in the original comic. He will become the villain codenamed "Crossbones". A person who is 100% dedicated to Hydra. He cannot give Felicia information out of good intentions.
