Personality

Xian’er is outspoken, hot-tempered, and mischievous. Chu Tiannan’s provocations readily anger her, but she is equally willing to embarrass him through teasing. After he rescues her, she deliberately unsettles him by pretending to undress for treatment, then privately delights in discovering that he is easier to approach than he appears 584 604 605.

Her affection is direct and sometimes reckless. She refuses to leave Chu Tiannan’s side while he cultivates despite being injured herself, and later breaks free of restraints to rush toward an attack she believes has endangered him. She also overuses her inheritance during her duel with Tian’er, trusting Chu Tiannan to repair the damage afterward 640 654 723.

Her experiences in the Genius Battle make her more composed but also more violent. After Xian Yue’s elimination, she cultivates obsessively and becomes feared in Storm City. The Sea Emperor inheritance’s will further influences her disposition, gradually cultivating a desire for slaughter that contrasts with her earlier aversion to bloodshed 834 857 930.

Despite this ruthlessness, she is fiercely protective of companions. Heaven Dou’s contestants respect her because she shields them from stronger opponents. She also shows everyday kindness, welcoming Alita with familiar foods and later offering to hold off enemies so Chu Tiannan can escape 858 1191 1202.

History

Cultivation Cabin and Early Friendship

Xian’er’s early encounters with Chu Tiannan are confrontational. She strikes him at close range, and their dispute over the cultivation area’s only wooden cabin ends with her restrained by his Chaos Cloak. After promising not to play dirty, she secures a sharing arrangement by placing their hands together on the cabin’s authorization platform 583 584.

Their hostility softens during the faction battle. Ambushed and internally injured by Luo Jitian, Xian’er initially insists on fighting, but Chu Tiannan orders her to recover while he protects her. She acknowledges that she owes him a favor, and her resentment gives way to curiosity and friendship 600 601 605.

Her concern becomes obvious during Chu Tiannan’s battle with Liu Ben, prompting Xian Yue to tease her. Before the Universe Genius Battle, Xian’er gives him his entry proof, embraces him, and warns him about Luo Zhongtian 611 641.

Ocean Law Inheritance and Tian’er’s Duel

The water-law inheritance selects Xian’er for her exceptional soul willpower, but Sea Demon attacks midway through the process. Xian Yue and Liu Ben rescue her at the cost of abandoning the Still Water Pavilion. While she remains gravely injured, the inheritance briefly grants her enough power to repel enemies she should not ordinarily be able to challenge 676 681.

Her incomplete inheritance presents a serious cultivation hazard: advancing with its flaws could eventually halt her progress or destroy both body and soul. Following Chu Tiannan’s suggestion, she broadcasts her law power to locate the missing portion, leading the group to Tian Xing and Tian’er 707 708 713.

During her duel with Tian’er, Xian’er deliberately accepts a disadvantage to study the other half of the inheritance. She then seizes Tian’er’s vortex and stops a surprise dagger attack with an invisible defense. Her victory comes from understanding the inheritance’s essence rather than merely reproducing its techniques 719 721.

The victory has a cost. Exceeding her limits destabilizes her Life Core world, vital energy, and soul, requiring Chu Tiannan’s treatment. She nevertheless spares Tian’er rather than taking her battle merits through elimination 723 729.

Ocean Queen of Storm City

An ambush during a beast tide costs Xian Yue her place in the competition. Xian’er retaliates through her Ocean Domain and becomes increasingly accustomed to bloody combat. Her ability to eliminate powerful contestants in a single move earns her the title Ocean Queen 857.

In Storm City, she becomes the strongest protector of Heaven Dou’s gathered geniuses. She intervenes when Holy Light Imperial Clan members attack Tian Xing and fights Wu Dongtian to a draw. Her strength and willingness to defend others earn her the respectful address “Sister Xian’er” 858.

She also accumulates considerable wealth by taking Primal Stones from people in Storm City. At auction, she challenges Prince Laiduo despite his threats, but her group ultimately fails to buy the Floating Dragon Seal even with thirty million Primal Stones available 889 897 906.

Later Genius Battle and Academy Life

On the Heavenly Secret Continent, Xian’er advances to true fourth-stage law comprehension and receives a further legacy from a departing presence encountered through her soul will. It calls her one of the era’s chosen people and leaves something for her to retrieve in the original universe 963.

After obtaining Water Law immunity and refining an Essence-Fusing Soul, she reaches the fifth order’s middle stage. She finishes the Universe Genius Battle with a ranking in the seven thousands, qualifying for the Heaven Universe 964 1018 1100.

Recognizing Chu Tiannan and Luo’er’s relationship, Xian’er eventually resolves to relinquish her romantic hopes and become someone who can support him instead. Invincible Emperor and Departure

After reaching Invincible Emperor, Xian’er receives congratulations from Xian Yue and learns that her clan is celebrating her achievement. Shortly afterward, she and Tian’er confront a white-robed visitor seeking Luo’er. He shatters their Sea Emperor Domain and wounds them, forcing Bo Jue to intervene 1319.

When the companions later separate, Chu Tiannan entrusts Xian’er’s safety to Jin. Jin promises to protect her with his life and teleports away with her 1333.
