He initially fears it may be seven hundred years old or older 9.
After breaking Long Qianming’s spear and injuring him, the tiger pursues him into the trees while Xiao Tian repeatedly harasses it. Long Qianming eventually attacks its exposed belly during a leap between trees, embedding Dragon Whisker Needles and his broken spear in its abdomen 10.
The tiger retaliates with its tail, snapping the branch supporting them. Both fall approximately thirty meters. Xiao Tian cushions Long Qianming’s landing, while the tiger’s impact drives the embedded spear into its heart, killing it 10.
Identification and Recovery
Once the black mist disperses, Long Qianming recognizes the corpse as a Nine Netherworlds Devil Tiger over 650 years old with a dragon bloodline. He lets Xiao Tian drink its blood, retrieves his scattered needles, and carries the corpse to a previously scouted cave in the Ten-Year Soul Beast region 10.
Its yellow Soul Ring is already fading when they arrive. Despite his initial hesitation, Long Qianming decides to absorb it, trusting his External Martial Soul to share energy he cannot absorb himself 10.
