Background
Tianyao is Golden Crocodile Douluo’s granddaughter and a cherished member of the Golden Crocodile Family. Her grandfather initially regarded her Martial Soul as a limitation on her otherwise excellent talent, even with the Worship Hall directing resources toward her cultivation 24 31.
Qian Daoliu suggested that Tianyao spend more time with Jiang Huai while discussing Spirit Hall’s future succession. Golden Crocodile Douluo agreed to consider the proposal and later brought her to meet Jiang Huai’s group 24 31.
Personality
Tianyao is outspoken and initially resistant to her grandfather’s plans. She complained that getting close to Jiang Huai, who had only recently awakened his Martial Soul, would amount to babysitting. Yue Guan and Gui Mei knew her as the Golden Crocodile Family’s pampered “little demon” 31.
Despite her bravado, she is sensitive to acceptance within her peer group. During Qian Renxue’s confrontation with Jiang Huai, she worried that refusing to support her prospective teammates would leave her isolated. Her favorable impression of Jiang Huai conflicted with her familiarity with “Sister Xue’er,” prompting her to seek her grandfather’s guidance 37.
By the Suotuo City trip, Tianyao openly calls Jiang Huai “Boss” and eagerly volunteers to fight. She claims that seeing White Tiger Martial Souls makes her hands itch, earning an exasperated forehead flick from Jiang Huai 43.

Joining Jiang Huai’s Group
Golden Crocodile Douluo brought Tianyao to meet Jiang Huai as he assembled companions for Soul Fighting Arena training. She subsequently became part of the seven-member group whose performances attracted attention from other major powers 31 32.
When Qian Renxue attacked Jiang Huai, Tianyao hesitated between supporting her new companions and opposing someone she already knew. Her grandfather took her aside rather than involve her in the dispute between the Papal Hall and Worship Hall 37.
Heaven Dou Training Journey
After the five-year interval, Tianyao joined the team’s journey to gain experience ahead of the Continental Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament. Golden Crocodile Douluo and Light Feather Douluo accompanied them as protectors 41 42.
At Suotuo City’s Rose Hotel, she revealed her evolved Martial Soul and Soul King strength when Dai Mubai attacked Zhu Zhuyun. She struck him before he could respond, then later joined the squad’s assault on Tang San and dragged Dai Mubai back into the fighting 44 46.
