Imperial Upbringing and Transfer

Xu Tianzhen grew up as the emperor’s only daughter, doted on even by the imperial princes. She preferred cultivating her Martial Soul to studying Soul Tools and became Mingdu Academy’s captain. She wanted to attend Shrek Academy, but her father and eldest brother forbade it 135.

Xu Tianran arranged her transfer to the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy and asked Xu Zhengyang to nurture her for the next Soul Master Tournament. She entered Class One directly and taught several classmates a lesson when they tried to tease her 133 135.

Challenge for the Captaincy

When the team’s training plan was announced, Xu Tianzhen challenged Xu Zhengyang’s appointment as captain. She cited her rank-forty-six Soul Power, two ranks above his, as evidence of her superiority. Their argument escalated over her admiration for Shrek Academy and his criticism of her lack of practical experience. She demanded a duel, with the captaincy at stake 135.

Xu Zhengyang defeated all four of her Soul Skills without using his Martial Soul, Soul Rings, or Soul Tools. He pierced her final flame attack with Spear Intent concentrated through his fingers, stopping at her neck and severing a lock of hair. Frightened, she collapsed and accused him of bullying her 136.

The defeat made her an ordinary team member under their agreement, but did not immediately end her resistance. She vowed to challenge him again and threatened to have her imperial brother kill him or remove him as captain. Xu Zhengyang refused to grant her privileges based on her royal status 136.

Team Training

Before beginning the team’s dangerous training program, Xu Zhengyang required every member—including Xu Tianzhen—to write a final letter. The warning made her unusually serious 137.

She initially had the team’s weakest physical fitness and struggled to respond to situations. Although she complained after the first day, she endured the regimen and gradually began catching up with her teammates over the following month. Her improvement through daily meditation was particularly pronounced 137.

She later formed a friendly trio with Ye Guyi and Meng Hongchen. After two and a half years of cultivation, she had reached Soul King 140 153.

Personality

Xu Tianzhen is proud, rebellious, and accustomed to getting her way. Her sheltered upbringing leaves her quick to invoke her imperial status when challenged. She initially equates higher Soul Power with greater strength and admires Shrek Academy’s motto that those unwilling to stir up trouble are mediocrities 135.

Despite her willfulness, she is also innocent, lively, and genuinely enthusiastic about Martial Soul cultivation. Her persistence becomes evident during training: although she struggles and complains, she continues rather than withdrawing. Her interest in Ye Guyi’s Angel Martial Soul helps the two become friends 137 140.

A hereditary Martial Soul of the Sun Moon imperial family. Xu Tianzhen possesses an exceptionally pure version whose heat and flames surpass those of Xu Zhengyang’s father 136.
