Background / History
Luo Chen offered Hu Liena an Ascension after demonstrating the ritual on Wang Sheng. Although he could have raised her martial soul from top-level through super to ultimate quality in one session, he withheld the further evolution until he could be more certain of her loyalty 8.
During the ritual, Hu Liena opened her mind and entered a star-filled space containing Ascension Discs. After she climbed to the second disc, Luo Chen enveloped her Demon Fox in starlight. Its single tail divided until it had nine, completing its transformation into the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox 9.
Bibi Dong retained her original plan to develop Hu Liena as a spiritual control system Soul Master. The evolved martial soul added direct offensive options, but spiritual power remained the foundation of both its flames and its control abilities 15 16.
