Zhu Zhuyun grew up under the Zhu Family’s cruel rules, which forced her and her younger sister, Zhu Zhuqing, into a potentially lethal rivalry tied to the Star Luo imperial succession. Although she loved her sister, she believed those rules would eventually require her to kill Zhu Zhuqing. Her own expected future was marriage to Crown Prince Dai Weisi 14 19 37.

When the sky screen selected her for transmigration, Zhu Hongfeng ordered her to locate Zhu Zhuqing and bring her home alive and unharmed. During the journey, an enormous bird attacked while Jiang Xiaoxiao was absent. Believing it comparable to a ten-thousand-year Soul Beast, Zhu Zhuyun called for help, then prepared to fight when no answer came. Before she could strike, the palace’s defensive formation stopped the creature and reduced it to ash. Jiang Xiaoxiao later identified it as a Demonic Beast and assured her that ordinary creatures of its kind could not breach the palace 34 35.

Reunion and New Priorities

White Emperor City’s grandeur left Zhu Zhuyun speechless. Jiang Xiaoxiao then brought her to the Ninefold Heavenly Towers, where she reunited with Zhu Zhuqing. Rather than adopting her old threatening manner, she smiled gently and proposed that they speak privately 36 37.

Both sisters concealed their otherworldly origin from their hosts, fearing that exposing Douluo Continent to such overwhelming power could bring catastrophe. Alone with Zhu Zhuqing, Zhu Zhuyun dismissed the appeal of returning to compete for the Star Luo throne and passed on their father’s demand that Zhu Zhuqing visit the family after her three-month stay 37 39.

After the Heaven-Questioning Bell sounded, the sisters learned that the Heavenly Court intended to punish ancient races. They then began studying its rules, duties, and taboos.
