Arc 51The Giant King's Court

Klein opened Sasrir’s palace and fought alongside the City of Silver to defeat the Dark Angel, but Amon seized the first Blasphemy Slate. The City of Silver’s curse and the war’s sudden end brought farewells and new questions as the story prepared to move into its next volume.

  • Klein defeated Kotar with Reinette Tinekerr’s help, but the True Creator’s corruption compelled him toward the Giant King’s Court.
  • Klein used Sefirah Castle’s power to help Danitz negotiate Rorsted self-government, then opened the palace doors and became entangled with Enuni and his separated shadow.
  • Klein and the City of Silver demigods defeated Enuni, the Sun Saint, and Klein’s shadow before entering Sasrir’s dark residence.
  • Sasrir explained that the Primordial had awakened within the Ancient The Sun God and that Rose Redemption had arranged his death and resurrection.
  • Klein, Colin Iliad, Lovia, and Derrick fought Sasrir, but Lovia died protecting the human skull as Klein identified the first Blasphemy Slate as the source of Sasrir’s power.
  • Colin Iliad and Derrick weakened Sasrir, and Derrick’s Spear of Unshadowed purified him, but Amon took the first Blasphemy Slate and escaped.
  • Colin Iliad revealed that the remains of Giant Queen Omebella were Earth’s Gift and warned Derrick not to trust Rose Redemption’s account before he faded away.
  • Lilith and the six-armed demonic wolf defeated the Twilight Giant, ending the war, while the author announced a break before Volume Seven, “The Hanged Man.”
Chapters 1257–1281 Vol. 13 Read

Ch. 1257Busy but orderly

Klein used Sefirah Castle and the Staff of the Stars to disrupt Amon’s intrusion and freeze Kotar long enough to reach him in the ancient castle. He summoned Reinette Tinekerr from a sealed gold coin, leaving the confrontation with the Dark Demonic Wolf poised to begin.

  • Klein entered Sefirah Castle as the Tarot Club members’ prayers summoned The Fool, while Kotar began severing his connections to the outside world.
  • Amon’s image of Gehrman Sparrow reached through the barrier, but Klein used the Sea God Scepter and lightning to destroy the image and repel him.
  • Klein used the Staff of the Stars to reproduce Amon’s time power, briefly freezing Kotar before transporting himself to the ancient castle.
  • Klein used a Historical Projection of the Staff of the Stars and Dream Divination to descend into Kotar’s dark hall as the wolf began to recover.
  • Klein opened the sealed iron cigarette case, and Reinette Tinekerr emerged from the gold coin and possessed Kotar.

Ch. 1258Wishes

Klein and Reinette Tinekerr battled the Dark Demonic Wolf Kotar inside his castle, where Kotar used his curtain and a wish to suppress their divinity and overwhelm them with marionettes. Klein activated Sefirah Castle and called Leodero, leaving Kotar’s castle engulfed in lightning.

  • Reinette Tinekerr failed to possess Kotar, then borrowed power from the past as Kotar used the black curtain to isolate his castle as an embryonic divine kingdom.
  • Kotar wished for all divinity in the castle to dissipate, weakening his own and Reinette Tinekerr’s powers along with Klein’s, while his marionettes attacked the two Kleins.
  • Reinette repeatedly pursued Kotar through his marionettes, but he evaded possession by switching places, while his forces drove Klein into a series of attacks.
  • Klein escaped the marionette assault by swapping places with his Historical Projection and using the Staff of the Stars to relocate.
  • After Kotar’s marionettes endangered both Klein and Reinette, Klein activated Sefirah Castle, called Leodero, and unleashed a vast storm of lightning on the castle.

Ch. 1259Help without summoning

Klein and Reinette Tinekerr fought Dark Demonic Wolf Kotar after his castle was destroyed, and Klein eliminated Kotar’s remaining marionettes. As the Curtain threatened to turn Klein and Reinette into marionettes, Klein released a wraith linked to Artificial Death, letting the Evernight Goddess exert influence through it.

  • Klein used Underground Worm to hide from the lightning that destroyed Kotar’s castle, then joined Reinette Tinekerr in attacking Kotar and his marionettes.
  • Kotar used the Curtain to protect himself from Reinette’s possession, while Reinette transformed into a Werewolf and fought him directly.
  • Klein used the Staff of the Stars and his abilities to destroy Kotar’s three remaining marionettes.
  • Kotar trapped Klein in the Curtain, then attacked him and Reinette as it pulled at their Spirit Body Threads; Reinette blocked the blows and began to suffer wounds.
  • Klein opened a second iron cigarette case and released a wraith connected to Artificial Death, allowing the Evernight Goddess to exert influence through it.

Ch. 1260Following the Heart's Wishes

Klein and Reinette Tinekerr fought the Dark Demonic Wolf Kotar, who unleashed a devastating lightning attack before escaping through resurrection. As Klein moved to seize the weakened Curtain, a dark aura associated with the True Creator arrived and the Curtain called out, “Mysteries.”

  • A Wraith restrained Kotar while Reinette Tinekerr possessed him, and Klein used Banquet of Betrayal to confuse the Curtain and wound the wolf.
  • Kotar invoked Leodero, unleashing a storm of lightning that destroyed the castle and devastated the battlefield.
  • Klein survived with Paper Figurine Substitute and Underground Worm, then realized Kotar might have resurrected nearby.
  • Reinette Tinekerr identified a Miracle Invoker Beyonder Characteristic among the remains, and Klein chose to secure the weakened Curtain instead of pursuing Kotar.
  • Kotar resurrected in a concealed spot and escaped, while Klein approached the Curtain.
  • A dark, depraved aura arrived, and the Curtain formed a cloak and called out, “Mysteries.”

Ch. 1261At last

Klein escaped after the True Creator’s will compelled him to go to the Giant King’s Court and meet Sasrir, then used Sefirah Castle to contain the corruption and prepare for his next advancement. After settling the battle’s spoils and receiving no hint from the Evernight Goddess, he returned to the Forsaken Land of the Gods, feeling relieved.

  • The True Creator’s will appeared, ordered Klein to meet Sasrir at the Giant King’s Court, and embedded a compulsion in Klein’s body and spirit.
  • Klein and Reinette Tinekerr fled the ruined pit, while Amon arrived and remarked that someone would finally open the door.
  • Klein entered Sefirah Castle and discovered the corruption could not be removed, though it only guided him toward the Giant King’s Court.
  • Klein sealed the curtain containing high-level Seer pathway characteristics and burned the script he had prepared with 0-08.
  • Klein paid Reinette Tinekerr her share of the spoils and sacrificed the remaining characteristics to the Evernight Goddess, but received no hint about purifying the corruption.
  • Klein returned to the Forsaken Land of the Gods and sighed with relief, saying, “At last.”

Ch. 1262A Thousand Years of Waiting

Danitz relayed Klein’s instructions to the Rorsted resistance, who agreed to pursue negotiations with the Loenese rather than rush into war. Meanwhile, Colin Iliad led Derrick, Lovia, and the City of Silver exploration team toward the Giant King’s Court and a path to the true sea.

  • Kalat and Edmonton urged Danitz to help the resistance seize the opportunity created by the chaos in Bayam, but Danitz prayed to Klein instead of agreeing to war.
  • Klein instructed the resistance to negotiate with the Church of Storms and the governor-general’s office for Rorsted self-government, while offering to preserve Loenese interests and allow troops to reinforce Backlund.
  • Danitz delivered the Sea God’s message, and Kalat and the other leaders agreed to seek a peaceful resolution by negotiating directly with Jahn Kottman.
  • The resistance leaders chose Danitz by drawing lots to serve as their representative to Jahn Kottman.
  • Colin Iliad gathered Derrick, Lovia, and the exploration team in the City of Silver, then led them toward the Giant King’s Court as residents bade them farewell.

Ch. 1263A display of might

Audrey left a shelter in war-torn Backlund to help Loen’s forces and limit the harm of defeat, while Danitz sought the Church of Storms’ support in Bayam and invoked a startling display of the Sea God’s power. Klein then returned to the Giant King’s Court, planning to open the palace where Dark Angel Sasrir slept before the City of Silver’s team began its expedition.

  • Audrey recognized that the Goddess’s anchors were wavering and left the shelter, asking Susie to calm the civilians while she went to aid Loen’s forces.
  • Danitz told Sea King Jahn Kottman that the Resistance wanted Loen’s forces withdrawn from the Rorsted Archipelago and promised to pray for its protection.
  • After Danitz prayed, Sefirah Castle’s power shrouded the archipelago and surrounding waters in fog, convincing Jahn Kottman that the Sea God had answered.
  • Jahn Kottman agreed to consult Bayam’s leaders and give Danitz an answer within an hour.
  • Klein sealed the Curtain after using it to create the supernatural display, then returned to the Giant King’s Court to try opening Sasrir’s palace before the City of Silver’s team arrived.

Ch. 1264Behind the door

Klein entered the Giant King's Court to return Groselle's ashes to the Watchers' quarters and use the black iron key to open the Giant King's palace. The palace's dark sea left him near losing control and severed his shadow, while a shadow resembling Amon appeared outside the palace and was blocked from entering Sefirah Castle.

  • Klein summoned a historical projection, gave it Groselle's ashes and Vice Admiral Iceberg's black iron key, and scattered the ashes throughout the Watchers' quarters.
  • The twilight accepted Klein more readily after he returned Groselle's ashes to the place the giant had called home.
  • Klein used Enuni to carry the key to the palace and open its enormous doors, revealing a pitch-black, viscous ocean.
  • Klein severed his connection to the projection and tried to return above the Gray Fog, but Sefirah Castle rejected him and an identical shadow was rejected alongside him.
  • Klein found that his left side had become twisted worms, his shadow was missing, and he was struggling against madness.
  • Golden light filled the Giant King's Court as Enuni turned from the palace doors, black wings appeared behind him, and a pure shadow emerged in the nearby hall.

Ch. 1265Changes

Klein fled the corrupted Dark Angel Sasrir’s palace and watched its power alter the Giant King's Court while waiting for the City of Silver team. Elsewhere, Audrey approached the battle outside Backlund as allied forces faced a monstrous figure, and Colin Iliad's exploration team finally met Klein.

  • Klein concluded that Enuni and his separated shadow were dangerous, escaped to the edge of the Giant King's Court, and observed the illusory sun and darkness cycle over Sasrir's palace.
  • Audrey entered the fog outside Backlund and saw a giant, many-armed figure appear as the allied forces' attacks struck an invisible barrier and their soldiers panicked.
  • Audrey considered how her acquaintances were involved in the war, then noticed lightning-wreathed tentacles, a golden-flaming feather, and a huge hand carrying a silver broadsword in the fog.
  • Bernadette's Dawn was tossed through a violent storm in the Sonia Sea as the Mystery Queen searched for a possible primitive island.
  • Colin Iliad led Derrick, Lovia, and the exploration team into the sunlit Giant King's Court, where they encountered Klein, whose face had been partly transformed by crawling transparent worms.

Ch. 1266Mr. Clown

Gehrman Sparrow met the City of Silver’s exploration team and warned them that the Giant King’s Court had changed after he opened its doors. After the route around the court collapsed and tests showed that neither flight nor teleportation could cross the dark clouds, the group headed for the main entrance, where Gehrman approached two Silver Knight guards alone.

  • Gehrman introduced himself to the City of Silver’s team, explained that opening the Giant King’s residence had changed the divine kingdom and affected him, and told the members below demigod level to withdraw.
  • Colin Iliad ordered the non-demigod explorers to wait at the edge of the Giant King’s Court, while Lovia called Gehrman a clown and Colin urged the others to continue.
  • The path beside the stone staircase collapsed into dark clouds, and Gehrman and Lovia found that flight and teleportation could not cross them.
  • Gehrman, Colin, Derrick, and Lovia returned to the main entrance, where they saw two Silver Knight guards standing before the enormous doors.
  • Colin offered to fight one guard, but Gehrman dismissed both as toys and rose toward the entrance alone as Colin noticed something unusual.

Ch. 1267Wishing You Well

Klein used Reinette Tinekerr to expose and defeat the hidden Silver Knight guards, then entered the Giant King's Court with Colin, Lovia, and Derrick. As Audrey planted Mental Plague among the sleeping Intis and Feysac forces, Enuni and Klein’s mutated shadow confronted the group near the divine residence.

  • Klein baited the Silver Knight guards, and Reinette possessed one while Klein destroyed the rabbit illusion and made the other his Marionette.
  • Klein and the others opened the Giant King's Court doors, then Colin, Lovia, and Klein’s Marionette cleared most of the giant statues guarding the stairway.
  • Enuni and Klein’s mutated shadow flew out from the palace area as Audrey saw them through the fog and briefly suffered signs of corruption.
  • Audrey waited for the allied soldiers to fall asleep, entered their positions through dreams, planted seeds of Mental Plague, and escaped an ambush by using a false version of herself.
  • Enuni and Klein’s shadow landed near the stairway, and Klein taunted them, noting that they seemed unable to leave their area before the shadow fired an Air Cannon shell.

Ch. 1268Theatrical

Klein and the City of Silver's group returned to the Giant King's Court, where Enuni split into three bodies and attacked them. Klein revealed that he had prepared a Virtual Persona to protect his mind, leaving him able to face Enuni's assault.

  • Klein withdrew from Enuni and the shadow with Colin Iliad, Derrick, Lovia, and his Silver Knight marionette, then returned to the Giant King's Court at dawn.
  • Enuni explained that Klein and the shadow would cancel each other out, while Klein's marionette and the City of Silver demigods were meant to keep Enuni occupied.
  • Enuni split into three bodies, creating a false vision of the City of Silver and then a Sun Saint, while Klein recognized the threats and mocked his strategy.
  • Enuni's main body crossed the shadow barrier and attacked the City of Silver group as his elderly body used Mind Deprivation against Klein.
  • Klein resisted the mental attack because Miss Justice had given him a Clown-like Virtual Persona, and he smiled as his composure returned.

Ch. 1269Mocking himself

Klein and the City of Silver demigods fought Enuni and the shadow in the ancient god’s divine kingdom. Derrick and Colin Iliad used repeated Solar Flares to wear down Enuni, but Enuni’s black wings suddenly detached and became a dark ocean.

  • Klein used his Silver Knight marionette to attack the Spectator Saint while keeping the shadow from controlling their Spirit Body Threads or summoning Historical Void projections.
  • Colin Iliad transformed into a Silver Knight and clashed with Enuni, who became a Black Knight, while Derrick and Lovia attacked the Sun Saint.
  • Derrick left the Sun Saint to Colin and Enuni’s fight, then cast Solar Flare over both combatants despite the damage it caused Colin.
  • Derrick cast Solar Flare again, following Colin Iliad’s plan to trade his injuries for a swift victory against Enuni.
  • One pair of Enuni’s illusory black wings detached and transformed into a deep, dark ocean.

Ch. 1270I have something you don't

Klein appeared to succumb to the Spectator Saint’s Mental Plague, but he had secretly used the Silver Knight marionette to turn the attack against his shadow. He ended the chapter in control, hinting that the shadow had overlooked an advantage he possessed.

  • Enuni wounded Colin Iliad with the Blade of Spirit and Flesh, but Colin used Mercury Transformation to escape the fatal blow and lost his left arm.
  • Derrick and the Sun Saint attacked Enuni and Lovia, while Enuni corrupted Derrick’s Spears of Unshadowed and sent them back at him.
  • Klein’s Silver Knight marionette kept the Spectator Saint occupied as Klein’s shadow fought him with illusions, flames, and combat hypnosis.
  • The Spectator Saint planted a seed of Mental Plague in Klein’s island of consciousness, using the marionette’s deathly silent mind to infect Klein when he swapped places with it.
  • Klein seemed to lose control, but the Silver Knight marionette suddenly attacked and killed the Mind Dragon, revealing that Klein had turned the trap against his shadow.
  • Klein faced his shadow and said, “You seem to have overlooked something I have that you don't.”

Ch. 1271Too weak

Klein used the True Creator’s corruption to bait and defeat his shadow while the City of Silver’s Demigods destroyed Enuni and the Sun Saint. With his spirit restored, Klein prepared to enter the Giant King’s residence with Derrick and Lovia, where the Dark Angel awaited them.

  • Klein revealed that the True Creator’s corruption had let him deceive his cautious shadow and set up the Spectator Saint’s defeat.
  • Klein used Flame Manipulation and his Silver Knight marionette to block the shadow from reaching the Dark Angel’s palace.
  • Lovia, Colin Iliad, and Derrick worked together to destroy Enuni and the Sun Saint, with Lovia using a Devil’s Words of Filth to slow the Sun Saint for Colin’s killing strike.
  • Klein and the three City of Silver Demigods cornered the shadow, and Derrick’s Spear of Unshadowed destroyed it.
  • Klein’s spirit became whole again, and he urged Derrick and Lovia to enter the Giant King’s residence because the Dark Angel was waiting inside.

Ch. 1272The sky changes

Klein and the City of Silver team prepared to enter the Giant King's residence, where the sleeping Dark Angel's influence could turn allies against them. Across the world, battles and political upheavals were interrupted as twilight and darkness overtook the sky, while strange storms gathered over Bayam.

  • Klein healed Colin Iliad and Lovia with the Staff of Life, then returned to Sefirah Castle and found the Giant King's residence shrouded in impenetrable darkness.
  • Klein tested the darkness with a raven, lost contact with it, and entered the residence with Colin Iliad, Lovia, Derrick, and a Silver Knight Marionette, warning them that the journey could be deadly.
  • Audrey fought a Feysac admiral outside Backlund, using mental abilities and a Mental Plague while allied forces bombarded the battlefield with flaming spears.
  • The battlefield's fog vanished, Audrey and the admiral became too weak to move, and orange-red twilight collided with darkness as soldiers across the area fell asleep.
  • Leonard saw the sky split between twilight and night outside Saint Hilan Cathedral, while Ikanser Bernard and the Machinery Hivemind looked on in bewilderment.
  • In Bayam, Danitz and Alger watched the Resistance take control of the city before Alger noticed dark clouds, lightning, rising waves, and strange light gathering in the northwestern sky.

Ch. 1273The sleeping place

Anderson and the defenders faced an overwhelming supernatural attack while Backlund was transformed by rampant growth, as Klein and the City of Silver party entered the Giant King's palace. The darkness separated them from their companions and revealed a mysterious man asleep on the iron-black throne.

  • Anderson taunted his soldiers about surrender, but the sun and an illusory tower appeared before they could act.
  • Emlyn White saw weeds and trees rapidly grow across Backlund, turning parts of the city into primeval forest.
  • Klein entered the Giant King's residence with Derrick, Colin Iliad, and Lovia, then found he could no longer reach the Fog of History.
  • The doorway vanished, and Lovia, Colin Iliad, Derrick, and Klein disappeared one by one into the darkness before reappearing together in another part of the palace.
  • Klein and the others watched a shadow curtain vanish, revealing a black-haired man asleep on the throne at the top of giant-sized steps.

Ch. 1274Omniscience

Klein and the City of Silver demigods explored the palace where Sasrir slept, and a remnant spirit recognized the aura of Sefirah Castle in Klein. Sasrir revealed that the Primordial had awakened within him, leaving the group surrounded by deepening shadows and an unknown danger.

  • Colin Iliad decided the group should not wake Sasrir, and Lovia sent a Grazed devil to scout, but lightning destroyed it and sacred flames purified its soul.
  • Klein advanced with lit matches, and Creeping Hunger became depraved and tried to devour him before he subdued it with the Staff of the Stars.
  • A figure that copied Klein appeared among the brass-colored eyes in the shadows, but it exploded when it sensed the aura of Sefirah Castle.
  • The eyes said Klein’s fate intersected with Amanises, Leodero, Adam, Amon, Herabergen, Aucuses, Medici, Ouroboros, and the True Creator, whom it called another version of itself.
  • Klein asked why Sasrir established Rose Redemption and assassinated the Ancient The Sun God, and the remnant spirit answered that the Primordial had awakened within him.
  • The shadows grew darker and more threatening as Klein, Colin Iliad, Derrick, and Lovia reacted with fear to Sasrir’s words.

Ch. 1275No one would be an exception

Klein learned that the Primordial was the Original Creator, whose will could awaken within high-Sequence Beyonders, and heard how the Ancient The Sun God formed Rose Redemption to resist that corruption. After Klein recognized the first Blasphemy Slate on the throne, the sleeping Dark Angel Sasrir opened his eyes and Lovia collapsed into shadow.

  • Klein asked Sasrir about the Primordial and learned that it had created the universe and could awaken within those closest to it through Sequence advancement.
  • Sasrir explained that he created the Dark Angel as a separate self to resist the Primordial, then formed Rose Redemption with gods and Angel Kings to arrange his death and resurrection.
  • Sasrir revealed that Leodero, Aucuses, and Herabergen betrayed him by devouring his body, forcing him to be reborn through his corpse and retain the Hanged Man pathway characteristics and the authority of Depravity.
  • Klein spotted the first Blasphemy Slate beside Sasrir on the iron-black throne and realized it had likely helped Sasrir control the Chaos Sea.
  • Sasrir opened his eyes, and Lovia collapsed into a mass of shadows.

Ch. 1276The nature of the enemy

Klein, Colin Iliad, and Derrick confronted the awakened Dark Angel Sasrir in the shadow palace, while Lovia revealed that she retained some control despite losing control of her body. Klein judged that Sasrir was a dangerous fusion tied to the Chaos Sea, and the group began their counterattack as Sasrir unleashed lightning.

  • Sasrir's awakening caused Lovia to lose control, but she revealed that her spirit remained lucid and that she could still direct the Silver Knight she had Grazed.
  • Klein and Colin Iliad realized Sasrir's influence had corrupted Lovia's body without fully overcoming her spirit, and Klein concluded Sasrir was an unusual being fused with the Chaos Sea's power.
  • Klein raised the Staff of the Stars, Colin Iliad entered his incomplete Mythical Creature Form, and Derrick prepared to act as Sasrir rose and unfolded his black wings.
  • Sasrir bound Lovia with her shadow cloak and sent a sea of lightning across the shadow palace.
  • Klein reproduced the Angel of Time Amon's power with the Staff of the Stars, stalling the lightning while Colin Iliad and Lovia's Silver Knight created barriers and Klein vanished.

Ch. 1277The final guardianship

Klein and the City of Silver’s demigods fought Dark Angel Sasrir, but Lovia died protecting the human skull while Sasrir survived with only slight injuries. Klein realized that the Blasphemy Slate on the throne might be the source of Sasrir’s power, and Colin Iliad noticed it too.

  • Klein used the Staff of the Stars to drag Sasrir into a dream, but the vision of the Chaos Sea shattered Klein’s control and forced him back into reality.
  • While Sasrir was distracted, Colin Iliad, Lovia, and Derrick attacked, but Sasrir’s radiance destroyed their assault and dissolved Lovia’s Silver Knight spirit.
  • Klein forced Sasrir into another dream, revealing his Sefirah Castle aura as Sasrir revealed his connection to the Chaos Sea.
  • Lovia bound herself to Sasrir so Colin and Derrick could attack, but Sasrir broke free and used Mind Deprivation to weaken the group.
  • Sasrir killed Lovia with sacred sunlight as she curled around and protected the human skull.
  • Klein reasoned that Sasrir’s power came from the Chaos Sea and identified the Blasphemy Slate on the throne as its likely source; Colin also looked toward it.

Ch. 1278Those who follow

Klein, Colin Iliad, and Derrick Berg fought Dark Angel Sasrir in the shadow palace, using concealment, lightning, and the power of dawn to weaken and restrain him. Klein stole the strands connecting Sasrir to the first Blasphemy Slate but was left unable to move, while Colin called on Derrick to attack the fading Evil Spirit.

  • Klein concealed himself while Colin Iliad and Derrick Berg attacked Dark Angel Sasrir and kept him occupied.
  • Klein struck the first Blasphemy Slate with Lightning Storm, severing the strands linking it to Sasrir, but Sasrir restored them with the cycle of fate.
  • Sasrir used his Unshadowed Domain and a command to kill, but Derrick Berg's words helped Klein and Colin Iliad recover.
  • Klein used Teleportation and Stealing to take the strands connecting Sasrir to the first Blasphemy Slate, then struggled against the Chaos Sea's influence.
  • Colin Iliad transformed into mercury to restrain Sasrir, then unleashed Storm of Light, interrupting his power and weakening him.
  • Colin Iliad restrained the fading Sasrir again and shouted for Derrick Berg to attack.

Ch. 1279Warrior

Derrick’s strike helped purify Dark Angel Sasrir and collapse the Land of Slumber, but the True Creator’s corrosion activated and Amon seized the first Blasphemy Slate before escaping. As the palace returned to twilight, Klein witnessed Colin Iliad’s death, and Derrick rushed to his fallen Chief.

  • Derrick attacked Dark Angel Sasrir with the Spear of Unshadowed, purifying the Evil Spirit and causing the shadow palace to collapse.
  • The collapsing barrier intensified the corrosion in Klein, which separated from him and formed a giant shadowy hand reaching for the first Blasphemy Slate.
  • Amon entered the Giant King’s residence and used a power stolen from the Chaos Sea to draw the Blasphemy Slate to himself.
  • Amon caught the slate after Klein glimpsed the Sequence 1: Attendant of Mysteries formula, then escaped through the palace doors as the shadowy hand pursued him.
  • The palace’s shadows vanished, revealing Colin Iliad dead before the iron-black throne, and Derrick rushed to his side and called him Chief.

Ch. 1280Light

Colin Iliad revealed the truth behind the City of Silver’s food and curse, then entrusted Derrick with the burden of leadership and the freedom to follow the Fool. As the war abruptly ended and the secret of the Earth Mother raised new questions, Derrick opened the Giant King’s doors so Colin could see sunlight before he faded away.

  • Colin Iliad told Derrick that he would join the Council of Six and revealed that everyone in the City of Silver could now worship Mr. Fool.
  • Colin Iliad explained that the sealed artifact Earth's Gift had enabled black-faced grass to grow but caused the City of Silver’s curse, and he revealed that the remains of Giant Queen Omebella were Earth's Gift.
  • Colin Iliad warned Derrick not to trust the account of Rose Redemption and said that the Earth Mother could not be Omebella, leaving Klein to question who the Earth Mother was.
  • Lilith and the six-armed demonic wolf defeated the Twilight Giant, whose scattered twilight devastated the battlefield and abruptly ended the war; Suah fled, and the allied armies retreated.
  • Audrey returned to Backlund and found its citizens and her family bewildered by the sudden end of the disaster, while Bernadette continued sailing through dangerous seas.
  • Derrick pushed open the Giant King's doors with the spirits of his loved ones beside him, revealing a sunlit sea as Colin Iliad smiled and faded away.

Ch. 1281Volume Six wrap-up, leave request, and a plea for monthly votes

The author reviewed Volume Six’s themes, plot choices, strengths, and shortcomings, and previewed plans for future stories. The author announced a three-and-a-half-day break before Volume Seven, “The Hanged Man,” began on Sunday evening.

  • The author described the Amon and Omebella revelations as Volume Six’s two major peaks and said they completed a framework for the world’s gods and mysteries.
  • The author explained that the war and Audrey’s story were shaped to convey ordinary people’s confusion and insignificance before the gods, while Bernadette and the City of Silver brought the ending toward determination and hope.
  • The author acknowledged that Volume Six had too many closely packed battles and a narrow setting, and said the Emperor’s storyline had been postponed to Volume Seven.
  • The author discussed possible later books set in Intis, Feynapotter, and the Western Continent, but said a second book would not be the next project.
  • The author announced a break before Volume Seven, titled “The Hanged Man,” began on Sunday evening, and asked readers for monthly votes and official subscriptions.
