The Upper Realm.

Before a magnificent, gilded hall built in an ancient style.

Crack!

Space shattered at the entrance.

Then a figure in blue robes stepped out.

It was none other than Li Xiao.

Only yesterday, the old man had tossed him into the Lower Realm. A day later, he was back.

Li Xiao swept his gaze around, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly.

"The Upper Realm really is better."

The Spiritual Qi in the Upper Realm was several times denser than in the Lower Realm. No wonder everyone yearned for the Upper Realm.

Gathering his thoughts, Li Xiao strode toward the gates of his home.

"Halt!"

Suddenly, the two guards at the entrance stepped forward with spears in hand, blocking Li Xiao as they shouted.

Li Xiao stopped, raised his eyes slightly, and cast a piercing gaze at the two men before him.

Under Li Xiao's gaze, both guards shuddered involuntarily. An inexplicable pressure bore down on them, making them feel as though they had plunged into an ice cellar.

"Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing? That's our young master! Have you two rebelled?"

A rough voice rang out just in time, and a burly middle-aged man soon hurried over.

"Lower those! Lower them! What are you even here for, daring to stop the young master?"

The man pushed their spears aside a few times as he scolded them.

"Young master, these two only started today. I'll take them away to receive their punishment."

After speaking, he seemed to remember something. He turned to look at Li Xiao before him as though he had seen a ghost.

Huh?

Didn't the master toss the young master down below yesterday? This makes no sense. I saw it with my own eyes.

"Master! Master! The young master is back! The young master is back!"

Without finding time to say anything more, the man jogged off, shouting into the courtyard.

Watching the man hurry away, Li Xiao felt somewhat helpless.

Couldn't I even come back to my own home?

Ignoring the two unlicensed guards before him, Li Xiao strode into the courtyard.

"Th-this is our young master? Why is his pressure so powerful?"

One guard wiped his forehead as he spoke, still shaken.

"We'd better keep our eyes open from now on."

Li Xiao's invisible peak Emperor Realm pressure had frightened the two so badly that cold sweat streamed down their backs.

Inside the main hall.

A gray-haired old man in white robes tapped the tea table, his brows tightly knitted.

"Shouting, shouting, shouting! What are you shouting for? Making such a racket-where's your decorum?"

Hearing the shouts drawing closer, the old man snapped.

"M-master, the y-young master is back."

"Oh, the young master is back."

The old man answered absently, then froze. His eyes widened in disbelief, and he spun around.

"What? Say that again."

"Master, I said the young master is back. He's just outside in the courtyard."

The old man took a deep breath and pressed a hand to his chest.

"Where's my saber? Where's my saber?"

Then he snatched up a large saber and charged out.

"Greetings, young lord."

In a spacious courtyard, the lineage guards and elders dropped to one knee, respectfully calling out to the blue-robed man a short distance away.

The corner of one elder's mouth twitched.

"Damn it, I've seen a ghost. Wasn't the young master in the Lower Realm? How is he back after just one day, and at the peak Emperor Realm, no less?"

Li Xiao waved a hand, indicating that there was no need for such ceremony.

This damned feudalism. Why did I like it so much?

Before Li Xiao could take more than a couple of steps, a decrepit old figure charged out before him, wielding a large saber.

"You little brat! It really is you! I'll hack you to death!"

Looking at the old man before him, Li Xiao helplessly reached out, caught the blade between two fingers, and retreated two steps.

"Grandpa, this is my home. Why can't I come back? Didn't you miss me?"

"Miss you? Of course! I missed you so much, my darling grandson."

Li Kuangfeng bristled and glared, wildly swinging the saber again.

"Do you know how long I agonized before sending you down there? You've been gifted and clever since you were little. Why can't you understand your grandfather's painstaking intentions?"

Li Xiao helplessly rubbed his brow and simply stopped dodging.

Whenever the blade was about to strike him, Li Kuangfeng stopped his hand just in time and gave him a few token pats with the back of the saber.

Then Li Kuangfeng's movements halted, and he let out a long sigh.

"My dear grandson, the Pan Lineage is eyeing our Li Lineage like a tiger watching its prey. I only tossed you into the Lower Realm to preserve a spark of our Li Lineage's bloodline if the worst came to pass."

"Besides, how did you tear through space at the peak Sovereign Realm?"

Confusion crossed Li Kuangfeng's face, then a gleam flashed through his cloudy eyes.

"Y-you... you're at the p-peak Emperor Realm? What happened? You're already in the Emperor Realm? And at its peak?"

Tearing through space was a feat only Emperor Realm experts could accomplish. Now, looking at his darling grandson before him-

After just one day apart, he had actually reached the peak Emperor Realm.

It truly gave him quite a fright.

Even with his talent, it had taken him hundreds of years to reach the peak Emperor Realm back then.

In the cultivation world, the Lower Realm's cultivation realms were divided into: Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Spirit Transformation, Sovereign, Tribulation Transcendence, and Emperor.

Each realm was further divided into early, middle, late, and peak stages.

Yet Li Xiao had broken through to the Emperor Realm in a single day. What did that mean?

He gathered his thoughts.

"You brat, you really came back."

Several more people approached from a distance, one of them seated in a wheelchair.

"Dad, Mom, Eldest Uncle, Aunt."

Li Xiao called out to the people before him.

"It's good that you're back. It's good that you're back."

Ye Linglong wiped away her tears and spoke softly.

She knew the Ye Lineage's situation and had thought that after yesterday, she would never have another chance to see her son.

That had made her cry all night yesterday, yet now he had actually returned.

Beside Ye Linglong, a middle-aged man who bore some resemblance to Li Xiao pressed his lips together and nodded at him.

Between father and son, there was no need for many words.

"Kid, tell me, how did your cultivation reach the peak Emperor Realm?"

Li Kuangfeng fixed Li Xiao with a piercing gaze, light shifting through his cloudy eyes.

Hearing the old man's words, the others around them stared intently at Li Xiao, their expressions shocked.

The peak Emperor Realm? That outrageous?

Li Xiao smiled.

He knew that if he did not explain soon, the old man would get physical.

He had already prepared his story for this.

"Grandpa, don't get worked up yet. The peak Emperor Realm? This is nothing yet. I haven't finished breaking through."

With that, Li Xiao took a step back.

Now that he had returned to the Upper Realm, his cultivation should rise as well. His road to invincibility was only beginning.
