Jiang Jie did not stay in Dalaran long and soon left the city.
He didn't know when Archimonde would arrive, nor when Dalaran would be Devastation, and he didn't want to perish with Dalaran.
Dalaran, Jiang Jie summoned the old turtle " Lao Qian Lao Qian," sat on its back, and drifted towards the Fenris Isles.
Jiang Jie had a habit of seizing every opportunity to cultivate, because he knew that this world was full of disasters and that even more terrible wars awaited him in the future, and that he didn't have much time left.
Two hours later, he arrived at Fenris Keep, where Sir Harold found him immediately.
"What? Refugees from Southshore have come here? And been settled on some small island? Their leader is Mayor Heni Mareb?" Jiang Jie was stunned; he had actually heard this legendary name.
Henri Mareb, that's no ordinary man, a remarkable commander, a leader buried in the affairs of a small town...
"I've distributed farming tools, seeds, and food to them, and arranged for them to cultivate the land themselves," Harold complained. "My lord, Fenris Isles is a limited area; feeding 100,000 people is already difficult enough. Now Lord Uther is cramming refugees from Hillsbrad Foothills here as well; there's simply no room!"
"Let's leave it at that for now. I think it won't be long before they find a new place to go." Jiang Jie frowned.
Arcanist Doan survived the Battle of Dalaran and is now with Uther at Fenris Keep.
He has already contacted Jaina, urging Jaina to mobilize the Kul Tiras naval fleet for the Kalimdor; the plan must begin immediately!
Jaina responded by leading a portion of the fleet to exterminate the Undead and pursue the defectors, while Admiral Daelin led a portion of the fleet to land on the west coast of Silverpine Forest. All refugees preparing to leave were required to reach the west coast within a week, and other nations, including Ironforge, Aerie Peak, and Gnomeregan, would also send a contingent to accompany them.
This is a monumental feat for the entire Eastern Kingdoms, and we urge the support of the entire Eastern Kingdoms!
Or to put it more bluntly, every nation and power wants a piece of the pie on another continent. The interests and territories on the Eastern Kingdoms have already been divided, and perhaps they can use this voyage to expand their own territory to an unprecedented extent!
Jiang Jie waved his hand, dismissing Sir Harold, and then went to the top floor of the castle alone.
Jiang Jie leaped onto the eaves, stood facing the wind, and looked south, towards Dalaran.
" Nicholas, I sensed a very powerful energy fluctuation, right on the island to the east." Anveena pointed her delicate little hand towards a small island.
"It must be the people from Dalaran. Judging by the time, it's been about three hours." Jiang Jie breathed a sigh of relief.
They were finally rescued.
In the original history, countless mages were wiped out along with Dalaran, and the power of human mages was almost halved, a loss that has not been recovered even after ten years.
If it weren't for Rhonin's gradual growth and Khadgar's return, Dalaran would probably have already fallen to a second-rate power.
By saving them, we have saved the hope of mages, the hope of magic!
The day after the Battle of Dalaran, Arthas and his most elite troops, led by Kel'Thuzad, arrived somewhere in the southwestern mountains of Dalaran.
This place is sparsely populated and overgrown with trees.
Kel'Thuzad's Undead were busy inscribing summoning circles on the ground. A series of magical items were placed in precise locations. These magical materials were so valuable that they could bankrupt ten Archmage.
These magical materials naturally come from Silvermoon City, Quel'Danas, and Dalaran.
Kel'Thuzad stood a short distance away, carefully perusing the Book of Medivh in his hands.
This is a large book, the same size as a regular book, but weighing more than five times as much. It is covered with a red leather cover and bound with gold thread.
Kel'Thuzad easily deduced that every page of the book was made of dragon skin, specifically blue dragon leather. This reminded him of a legend about a blue dragon that had invaded Kel'Thuzad. Offending Medivh, Sargeras Karazhan, that blue dragon must have met a terrible end; death was likely not its final fate, but an even more tragic destiny awaited it.
The cover of the magic book is exquisitely decorated with a raven with outstretched wings, stained with Antonidas's blood.
The raven is Medivh's symbol, and even more so, the symbol of that legendary staff. It was a Staff of the Guardian of Greatstaff of Atiesh, which Kel'Thuzad coveted immensely, but unfortunately, it had already been taken to another world by Khadgar.
"The magic circle is finally finished, Kel'Thuzad." Arthas, leaning on Frostmourne, looked at Dalaran on the distant plains, a hint of regret in his voice. "I really should have resurrected Antonidas and made him suffer the imprisonment of the Eternal Ice Coffin!"
" Antonidas's soul is protected by Dalaran, and it will be difficult for us to find him, my prince. Moreover, to resurrect a mage of his caliber, you would need to find a second Sunwell. Besides, what good would it do us to resurrect him? To make him a servant of the Lich King, above you and me? He will not obey your commands, Your Highness."
Kel'Thuzad replied, turning another page with his bony fingers, his words filled with admiration. "There's so much to learn! Medivh's knowledge of demons is astonishing, and his mastery of magic far surpasses that of Dalaran. I suspect he's more powerful than anyone thinks! Truly a mortal who has risen to godhood!"
"I've heard that Dalaran's magical prowess has reached a level stronger than ever before since World War II, almost on par with the High Elf, all because they acquired the library Khadgar brought from Karazhan." Arthas frowned and questioned, "Can a single book really be more valuable than the entire library of Karazhan?"
"Of course not! But Khadgar didn't empty the Karazhan library. He's no pushover; many precious texts remain in that mysterious mage tower. One day, I will become its master!" Kel'Thuzad exclaimed excitedly. "And this book is absolutely the most precious of all, because it was personally written by Medivh! With it, I will one day reach the realm of the gods and become as powerful as Medivh!"
Before Kel'Thuzad could finish speaking, a dark green vortex began to form in the air, Tichondrius appeared as soon as he finished speaking.
"No matter how powerful Medivh, he can't escape death. He's just a minor mage. Lord Archimonde's power is a hundred times greater than Medivh's! Stop dawdling, begin the summoning!" Tichondrius said. "I've made contact with Lord Archimonde, and he's impatient! Do you want to bear the wrath of the Defiler?"
Tichondrius did not linger there.
In fact, he hadn't fully recovered, so he disappeared immediately. Of course, Arthas and Kel'Thuzad knew very well that this despicable Dreadlord had actually been unwilling to participate in the battle; the previous severe injuries had frightened him...
Kel'Thuzad floated into the magic circle.
This area is marked by four obelisks, at the center of which is a ring that emits a dim light, and on the ring, precious Arcane dust shimmers.
Kel'Thuzad took his position with the book, and instantly the lines of the drawn magic circle Blink purple flames, crackling and exploding. Eight pillars of flame shot out from around him, the flowing flames almost reaching the energy level of the phoenix "O".
Kel'Thuzad turned to Arthas, his eyes gleaming. " Modera, Drenden, or Ansirem will definitely sense the power of this spell, and even realize what we're doing! I absolutely cannot be disturbed, or we will fail."
"A bunch of losers, don't worry. Do your job, Kel'Thuzad." Arthas drew Frostmourne.
Half an hour later, a portal appeared not far away, and a group of battle mages and Kirin Tor Guardians emerged. Leading the charge was a Kirin Tor councilor wielding the " Grand Torrent "!
" Arthas! Kel'Thuzad! Dalaran will not allow you to summon a forbidden being!" Archmage Drenden began casting his spell.
" Frostmourne is hungry." Arthas pointed his sword at Drenden, who was clad in full Archmage gear. "I was just wondering whether to go back and harvest your souls, and you come... to your deaths!"
